The Banking Operations Associate is responsible for providing service to clients relative to accurate, efficient and timely processing of Treasury, Trade and Loans transactions.

Responsibilities:

1. Performs start and end of day banking activities. Processes International and Loan transaction with related system. Ensure that all transactions are approved in accordance with authorized limits before payout to clients. Generate necessary reports in a timely and accurate manner and prepare tickets for transactions requiring entries. Verify and prepare swift messages of Treasury transactions (Lending, Borrowing, FI Deal, FX Deal, Fund Transfer, Interbank Placement) and treasury reports including processing of deals through the Clearstream online as a maker

2. Ensure confidentiality of own passwords in all assigned systems. Ensure compliance to Bank’s policies, procedures, KYC and AMLA requirements, Data Privacy and Service Quality Standards of the Bank

3. Performs other duties assigned from time to time

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree relevant to the job, preferably in Business Management
  • At least three (3) years of experience in handling trade and loan transactions in a bank and can correctly, efficiently process and book availments, payments, extensions and rewards including preparation of statement of accounts
  • Experience/ knowledge in Lean Sigma, excel, powerpoint skills (preferred)
  • Experience/ knowledge in Data & Analytics (preferred) , at a minimum is able to prepare reports

The candidate must be willing to work onsite and must be authorized to work in Hong Kong.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee to ensure Outsourcing Service activities of the section are completed as per established procedures and agreed service level, risk controls and standard of quality per bank’s requirements and contract, etc
  • Oversee to ensure end to end OSP processes are efficiency and effectively to meet the agreed SLA. Consistently evaluate and assessment for opportunities of process and productivity improvement
  • Keep abreast of business developments and banking practices, regulatory guidelines, risk controls and monitor implementation of all activities and projects/initiatives such as business continuity management, operational procedures, policies and guidelines, specific and job related training, contract renewal, change request, system enhancement, etc
  • Primary contact point to effectively communicate with internal departments, outsourcing service providers, regional Ops on relevant inquiries, matters or complaints
  • Assist the section/department head to develop action plan to improve productivity and make constructive recommendation for procedure/process improvement and application of technology to enhance operational efficiency and minimize operational risk
  • Assist section/department head to prepare and to conduct/ present in management and OSP meeting whenever necessary
  • Lead, coach and develop team members to achieve the section’s goals and complete their assignments on time
  • Adhere, provide guidance and ensure subordinates comply with the rules, guidelines and regulatory requirement of the Bank, HKMA, MAS, etc pertaining to OSP

Requirements

  • University Graduate or above
  • At least 7 years of banking operations working experience and/or at least 3 years of outsourcing service provider related working experience
  • Conversant and engagement with the OSP requirements and rules
  • Good knowledge of Outsourcing Service Provider
  • Excellent leadership and management capabilities
  • Self-motivated with strong analytical mind and creative thinking
  • Strong senses of risk controlling and management
  • Sound interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good problem-solving skills and negotiation techniques
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of banking and IT Operations and practices
  • Good in both written and spoken English
  • Good presentation skills
  • Excellent PC knowledge and skills

Country Manager - Hong Kong Office at Madison Pearl

On behalf of an international commercial bank, we are seeking an experienced operations leader with excellent knowledge commercial banking and trade finance operations products and procedures.

Base salary circa. HKD 1,000,000 to HKD 1,200,000.

Role:

  • Lead the tcommercial banking operations team in Hong Kong.
  • Oversee transactions monitoring and authorisations.
  • Oversee the team’s adherence to all regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor the quality control in operations and manage all operational risk related matters.
  • Work closely with senior internal stakeholders across business, operations and technology to improve processes, and transform business operations.
  • Partner with Relationship Managers and clients to ensure high quality services and processes. This will include visits to clients to liaise directly.
  • Mentor and train your team.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years’ experience with commercial and transaction banking and trade finance operations.
  • Good understanding of UCPDC, ISBP, URC, URDG.
  • Familiarity with commercial banking and trade finance products and relevant operations and transaction processes.
  • Knowledge of relevant local regulatory requirements.
  • Team leadership experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or other relevant discipline.
  • Fluent English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

Business Function

In T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.

Responsibility

  • Supervise the unit operations on a day-to-day basis
  • Allocate duties to the subordinates to make sure smooth running in daily operations
  • Override transactions beyond the authority of tellers and ensure the regularity of such transaction
  • Check and sign the transaction vouchers and computer output reports
  • Closely monitor operational control, with particular attention to transactional execution
  • Ensure compliance with the general internal control requirement and prevent any possible fraudulent behavior manifested by the subordinates
  • Ensure the highest standard of customer services
  • Assist in resolving customer complaints

Requirement

  • Degree Holders
  • Solid branch operations experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in banking operations, preferable in branch operations
  • Strong customer relations and negotiation skills
  • Good leadership and management capabilities
  • Good communication and inter-personal skills
  • Ability to guide subordinates and build-up effective teamwork within the department
  • Able to co-operate in a harmonious and productive manner with superiors
  • Good in both English and Chinese
  • Knowledge in MS Office

Responsibilities

  1. Provide one-stop service to credit card customers by handling phone enquiries and processing applications to enhance customer experience.
  2. Implement customer retention programs and identify cross-selling opportunities proactively.
  3. Ensure all operational and sales activities are in full compliance with both internal and external regulatory and compliance requirements.


Requirements

  1. Post secondary or above, preferably degree holder in any disciplines.
  2. Experience in call centre or banking industry, good knowledge of credit card operations and banking services is an advantage.
  3. Customer-focused with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  4. Able to work in shifts on weekends and public holidays.
  5. Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, fluency in Putonghua is an advantage.
  6. Candidates with more experience will be considered as Senior Customer Service Executive.
