• We are seeking Senior/Principal Civil Structural Engineersto work on significiant projects throughout the SE Asia region from our busy Hong Kong office.
• Suitable candidates will be chartered with 5+ years post graduate experience.  Given the technical nature of our work you will be from a design background in consultancy or contractor in-house design department.  Some experience in the design of bridges and/or temporary works is required and you will have the hands-on capability to undertake design and manage others to deliver technical solutions for our clients.
• Cantonese speaking applicants are encouraged, however good written and spoken English is essential.

Your impact

We welcome you to join our Structural Engineering Team in Hong Kong as a Structural Engineer. This is a great opportunity to work with a growing team while developing your career within Jacobs. You will involve in the design stages, and responsible for the proper and timely execution in accordance with the control estimate and specific requirements of the project.

• Support the Structural Team in delivering design drawings and supporting calculation reports for both government and private projects.
• Support the team in supervising construction works for both government and private projects.
• Manage the Project and deliverables (design and tender drawings packages etc.)
• Assist the Project Director in monitoring the project progress and apply mitigation measures when necessary
• Undertake technical project work involving design, drawings, specifications and reports
• Work closely with discipline team members, including mentoring and guidance to other engineers in the team
• Work closely with clients & project team members, including attendance at meetings & workshops

Here's what you'll need

• Bachelor's degree or above in Structural, Civil Engineering or related disciplines.
• HKIE (STL) Member with 7+ years of experience in design. More experienced in structural design may be considered as Technical Director.
• Proven working experience in structural engineering design for projects.
