Project Delivery


  • Typically lead a team of consultants (and experts / specialists from other disciplines) to solve for CEO’s burning issues and help clients achieve new performance highs.

  • Provide intellectual leadership for the team under PD’s guidance and ensure that the project is delivered on time and within budget, harnessing the team's diversity to ensure the development of creative solutions to complex problems.

  • Give your team members formal and informal feedback and encourage them as they continue to develop their skills.

  • Develop trusted-based client relationship to ensure that the team meets and exceeds the client's expectations.


  • Opportunity Development


  • Typically lead a team of 1-2 consultants to help senior leaders pursue customer and growth related business opportunities.

  • Help shape the deal with the clients and develop compelling proposals under senior manager’s guidance.


  • Practice Building


  • Developing expertise in customer and growth practice areas to increase the breadth and depth of our knowledge base and capabilities

  • Start to play a role in building the company by participating in recruiting campaigns, contributing to training programs, and writing for internal and external audiences

  • Providing coaching and mentoring to junior consultants


  • Experience, Attributes and Qualifications:


  • Experience in customer and growth strategies, with individually leading consulting projects or related industry experience with basic consulting skills.

  • Extensive knowledge and experience working with retail, consumer goods, travel, hospitality and broader consumer-facing industries and understands its cross functional operations

  • Strong potential in corporate strategy, topline growth and business model innovation, digital customer experience strategy

  • Strong capabilities on analytical and quantitative problem solving, and complex ideas communication, analytics experience strongly preferred

  • Proven experience in leading teams to deliver new strategies or capabilities while developing, mentoring and inspiring team members

  • Flexibility to accommodate client and project travel requirements.

  • Fluent in Cantonese and English is a must and preferably in Mandarin

  • MBA from global top tier program strongly preferred

    Associate Managing Consultant – Program Management, Advisors & Consulting Services

    Services within Mastercard is responsible for acquiring, engaging, and retaining customers by managing fraud and risk, enhancing cybersecurity, and improving the digital payments experience. We provide value-added services and leverage expertise, data-driven insights, and execution. Our Advisors & Consulting Services team combines traditional management consulting with Mastercard’s rich data assets, proprietary platforms, and technologies to provide clients with powerful strategic insights and recommendations. Our teams work with a diverse global customer base across industries, from banking and payments to retail and restaurants.

    The Advisors & Consulting Services group has five specializations: Strategy & Transformation, Performance Analytics, Business Experimentation, Marketing, and Program Management. Our Program Management consultants lead clients through business transformations by implementing strategically important Mastercard assets and services to bring value and drive growth. They serve as the Center of Engagement across all stakeholders within Mastercard and the client’s organization.

    You will manage multiple projects within a portfolio, providing efficient and effective coordination of a complex range of activities by clearly defining project team and stakeholder roles and responsibilities that are aligned with the delivery of the expected benefits. You will ensure effective identification of risks and pro-active solutioning to mitigate risks and impact on timelines.

    Client Impact

    • Manage deliverable development and workstreams on multiple large, complex high-value projects across a range of industries, problem statements, and cultures
    • Utilize proven, accredited project and change management methodologies and techniques to help clients drive measurable value
    • Define scope, timelines, and budget and perform cost, benefit, and risk analyses
    • Report on issues, risks, progress, and timelines and summarize effectively, offering analysis, options, and credible solutions
    • Manage working relationship with client managers, and act as trusted and reliable partner


    Team Collaboration & Culture

    • Develop sound business recommendations and deliver effective client presentations
    • Plan, organize, and structure own work and that of junior project team members to address client problems

    Qualifications

    Basic qualifications

    • Undergraduate degree with work experience in project management and change management methodologies and techniques
    • 4-6 years of Project Management experience
    • Exposure to financial institutions, payments, and/or consultancies
    • Experience managing clients or internal stakeholders
    • Logical, structured thinking
    • Advanced Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
    • Ability to perform multiple tasks with multiple clients in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
    • Ability to communicate effectively in English and the local office language (if applicable)
    • Eligibility to work in the country where you are applying, as well as apply for travel visas as required by travel needs


    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience developing and implementing solutions and measuring impact on clients' business
    • Experience coaching junior consultants
    • Have completed or interested in pursuing recognized professional accreditation, such as Project Management Professional (PMP)
    • Knowledge of Project Management tools
    • Exposure to payments and/or retail banking or merchants
    • MBA or master’s degree with relevant specialization (not required)

    We are looking for a high caliber professional to join our Finance and Risk Management Department as a Senior Manager - Business Analysis. Key responsibilities include:

    • To develop, run and review financial / commercial spreadsheet models independently to evaluate opportunities for new business lines or related initiatives; to manage analyst pool and review their models.
    • To work closely with Project / Business-line teams on commercial proposal development; manage financial analysis and commercial proposal review; if need be, to support the business development team on certain key project development activities.
    • To interact with other teams within CLP Group to support the review, governance and execution of these projects and initiatives; and manage IC functional review process and cross-functional review within CLP Group.
