Project Delivery


  • Typically lead a team of consultants (and experts / specialists from other disciplines) to solve for CEO’s burning issues and help clients achieve new performance highs.

  • Provide intellectual leadership for the team under PD’s guidance and ensure that the project is delivered on time and within budget, harnessing the team's diversity to ensure the development of creative solutions to complex problems.

  • Give your team members formal and informal feedback and encourage them as they continue to develop their skills.

  • Develop trusted-based client relationship to ensure that the team meets and exceeds the client's expectations.


  • Opportunity Development


  • Typically lead a team of 1-2 consultants to help senior leaders pursue customer and growth related business opportunities.

  • Help shape the deal with the clients and develop compelling proposals under senior manager’s guidance.


  • Practice Building


  • Developing expertise in customer and growth practice areas to increase the breadth and depth of our knowledge base and capabilities

  • Start to play a role in building the company by participating in recruiting campaigns, contributing to training programs, and writing for internal and external audiences

  • Providing coaching and mentoring to junior consultants


  • Experience, Attributes and Qualifications:


  • Experience in customer and growth strategies, with individually leading consulting projects or related industry experience with basic consulting skills.

  • Extensive knowledge and experience working with retail, consumer goods, travel, hospitality and broader consumer-facing industries and understands its cross functional operations

  • Strong potential in corporate strategy, topline growth and business model innovation, digital customer experience strategy

  • Strong capabilities on analytical and quantitative problem solving, and complex ideas communication, analytics experience strongly preferred

  • Proven experience in leading teams to deliver new strategies or capabilities while developing, mentoring and inspiring team members

  • Flexibility to accommodate client and project travel requirements.

  • Fluent in Cantonese and English is a must and preferably in Mandarin

  • MBA from global top tier program strongly preferred

    Job Summary

    The incumbent will be mainly responsible for IT Infrastructure and Security, and have expanded scope coverage to cover other areas such as General Services, Administration, Procurement and Project Management. The job holder will play a key role to identify and improve business system needs and objectives, re-align and update current operational procedures, taking the lead on problem solving matters from project management perspective, provide necessary support on input/ output requirements to related projects, maintain data scope and successfully deliver services to support the enterprise’s strategy systems and networks installed in the International branch with full compliance with the Group IT, security, operations and BCP policies.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities by Dimensions:

    Shareholder & Financial:

    • Lead and manage the day-to-day activities within the IT Infrastructure and operations to QNB Hong Kong. Act as a PMO responsible for and not limited to smooth operations of the systems, networks and reporting cycles.
    • Process, Procedure and Policy alignment within bank operation: Observes and promotes cost consciousness and efficiency, and enhance productivity, to minimize costs, avoid wastes, and optimize benefits for the bank
    • Demonstrate clear understanding of the important factors behind the bank's financial & non-financial performance from infrastructure and operations perspective.
    • Management of the bank’s general services, procurement and operations administration

    Customer (Internal & External):

    • Manage and supervise third party vendors, responsible for maintaining and supporting IT systems and networks and Bank’s infrastructure.
    • Collaborate with architects, analysts and designers in the development and initiation of new software programs and applications at Group Level.
    • Gather statistics and prepare written reports on the status of the programming process for discussion with management and/or team members.
    • Interact regularly with managers and business partners to field queries and questions.
    • Train, manage and provide guidance to users.
    • Work independently within own unit and will be required to supervise a team and maintain the systems of responsibility in case of international projects.
    • To assist customers in all their queries on Bank’s product and seek solution to their requests
    • Maintain activities in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with internal departments/ units to achieve improvements in turn-around time.
    • Build and maintain strong and effective relationship with all other related departments and units to achieve the Group’s goals/objectives.
    • Provide timely and accurate information to the external and internal Auditors, Compliance, Financial Control and Risk Functions as and when required.
    • Develop yearly budget for I.T. and Operations project management plan.

    Internal (Processes, Products, Regulatory):

    • Responsible for ensuring service levels and quality metrics are achieved.
    • Accountable for ensuring effective utilization of available resources and a cooperative team atmosphere.
    • Ensure that architectural issues and core competency directions are considered and resolved across all Information Systems Projects, including those involving internal development, package acquisition and outsourcing.

    • Maintain all external storage and media inventory.
    • Train Back-up on IT related tasks.
    • Produce all requested Equation Extracts.
    • Produce U.A.T. plan, U.A.T. issue documentation, and U.A.T. acceptance documents.
    • Produce test scripts for each and every department in the Branch.
    • Perform, supervise, and validate test scripts during projects.
    • Act as project manager for the branch; produce reports with updated status of the deliverables, issues and completion of tasks. Escalate all issues to H.O. management.
    • Set examples by leading improvement initiatives through cross-functional teams ensuring successes.
    • Identify and encourage people to adopt practices better than the industry standard.
    • Continuously encourage and recognise the importance of thinking out-of-the-box within the team.
    • Encourage, solicit and reward innovative ideas even in day-to-day issues.

    Learning & Knowledge:

    • Develop the ability to perform and prioritize various support services.
    • Take decisive action to ensure speedy resolution of unresolved grievances or conflicts within Group Corporate Banking staff in coordination with the incumbent’s direct reports.

    Education/Experience Requirements:

    • University graduate majoring in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.
    • Minimum of 15 years’ plus experience in IT Infrastructure and Operations Project Management, preferable in the Corporate banking industry, with banking infrastructure application knowledge,
    • Third party Vendor Management and Procurement Management experience
    • Operations and Instructure policies alignment and improvements
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills (including report writing) in English; Cantonese and Mandarin language highly desirable

    Job Summary

    The incumbent will be mainly responsible for IT Infrastructure and Security, and have expanded scope coverage to cover other areas such as General Services, Administration, Procurement and Project Management. The job holder will play a key role to identify and improve business system needs and objectives, re-align and update current operational procedures, taking the lead on problem solving matters from project management perspective, provide necessary support on input/ output requirements to related projects, maintain data scope and successfully deliver services to support the enterprise’s strategy systems and networks installed in the International branch with full compliance with the Group IT, security, operations and BCP policies.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities by Dimensions:

    Shareholder & Financial:

    • Lead and manage the day-to-day activities within the IT Infrastructure and operations to QNB Hong Kong. Act as a PMO responsible for and not limited to smooth operations of the systems, networks and reporting cycles.
    • Process, Procedure and Policy alignment within bank operation: Observes and promotes cost consciousness and efficiency, and enhance productivity, to minimize costs, avoid wastes, and optimize benefits for the bank
    • Demonstrate clear understanding of the important factors behind the bank's financial & non-financial performance from infrastructure and operations perspective.
    • Management of the bank’s general services, procurement and operations administration

    Customer (Internal & External):

    • Manage and supervise third party vendors, responsible for maintaining and supporting IT systems and networks and Bank’s infrastructure.
    • Collaborate with architects, analysts and designers in the development and initiation of new software programs and applications at Group Level.
    • Gather statistics and prepare written reports on the status of the programming process for discussion with management and/or team members.
    • Interact regularly with managers and business partners to field queries and questions.
    • Train, manage and provide guidance to users.
    • Work independently within own unit and will be required to supervise a team and maintain the systems of responsibility in case of international projects.
    • To assist customers in all their queries on Bank’s product and seek solution to their requests
    • Maintain activities in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with internal departments/ units to achieve improvements in turn-around time.
    • Build and maintain strong and effective relationship with all other related departments and units to achieve the Group’s goals/objectives.
    • Provide timely and accurate information to the external and internal Auditors, Compliance, Financial Control and Risk Functions as and when required.
    • Develop yearly budget for I.T. and Operations project management plan.

    Internal (Processes, Products, Regulatory):

    • Responsible for ensuring service levels and quality metrics are achieved.
    • Accountable for ensuring effective utilization of available resources and a cooperative team atmosphere.

    We are looking for a high caliber professional to join our Finance and Risk Management Department as a Senior Manager - Business Analysis. Key responsibilities include:

    • To develop, run and review financial / commercial spreadsheet models independently to evaluate opportunities for new business lines or related initiatives; to manage analyst pool and review their models.
    • To work closely with Project / Business-line teams on commercial proposal development; manage financial analysis and commercial proposal review; if need be, to support the business development team on certain key project development activities.
    • To interact with other teams within CLP Group to support the review, governance and execution of these projects and initiatives; and manage IC functional review process and cross-functional review within CLP Group.
    • To assist in project structuring, including key commercial agreements and governance structure.

    Requirements

The team includes industry practitioners, former regulators, and quantitative analysts to provide specialized integrated risk measurement and risk management services to leading financial institutions throughout the world.

    Your Key Responsibilities

    • Lead the client and project management in the delivery stage including scope, resource planning, timeline and user communication to ensure timely and high quality delivery of services with optimal firm resource utilization
    • Assist to develop and review technical solution implementation road map to achieve the strategic goals of the client and facilitate business development through adoption of suitable technologies
    • Manage projects including solution evaluation, proposal preparation, project initiation and planning, risk assessment and mitigation, reporting and documentation preparation, change management
    • Collaborate with different stake holders and business partners to achieve project objectives in an effective and efficient manner
    • Assist business case development and Support project management team in planning and monitoring
    • Develop and review policies, procedures and compile reports such as technical documentation, business requirements and user requirements
    • Work closely with relevant stakeholders to ensure adherence to the governance framework for model deployment
    • Work as a team to develop new approaches and ideas to fit client needs, by utilizing various quantitative and qualitative analysis, assessments and techniques

    Requirements

    To qualify for the role, you must have

    • Master or Bachelor degree holder with major in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Risk Management, Mathematics, Quantitative Finance or equivalent
    • 2+ years of experience within a consulting firm, a bank or other financial institution’s risk management, IT Project Management, and related business functions
    • Experience in developing and validating business requirement, user requirement and solution development
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills, good command of written and spoken Chinese and English
    • Ability to work collaboratively with team members and to work independently
    • Ability to multi-task, prioritize workload and meet deadlines

    Skills And Attributes For Success

    • Knowledge and practical experience with IT Project management, User Requirements development and data analytics
    • Sound knowledge in target operation model, system architecture, strong background in programming languages (i.e., VBA, SAS, Python, SQL)
    • Able to adapt quickly and manage an environment of rapid change and development, and lead others through this process
    • Someone who thinks out-of-the-box while developing models, reports or data code to solve challenging problems
