Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a CrossFit Coach based in Hong Kong. The CrossFit Coach will be responsible for leading group exercise classes, providing personal training, kids classes. The role requires ensuring the safety and proper technique of all participants, and fostering a positive and motivational gym environment. The CrossFit Coach will also be expected to contribute to the community spirit of the gym by participating in gym events and supporting all members in their fitness journeys.

Qualifications

• Experience in Group Exercise and Fitness Instruction
• Skills in providing Personal Training
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Capability to motivate and inspire individuals at all fitness levels
• Relevant certifications (min CrossFit Level 1 or higher)

THE JOB

Reporting to the Head Cycling Coach, the Cycling Coach (Track Endurance) will be responsible for the following duties:

• Coordinate, design, and implement training programmes for elite track endurance riders in Hong Kong;
• Fully utilize and integrate scientific, medical and other athlete support services into the elite training programme to enhance elite training outcomes;
• Monitor athlete performance through comprehensive, multi-method assessment and regular evaluation;
• Provide timely and critically analyzed progress reports on athletes' training progress;
• Responsible for administrative matters related to local and overseas squad training and competitions;
• Supervise Assistant Coaches and part-time coaches;
• Assist the HKSI and The Cycling Association of Hong Kong, China with the detection pathway of youth riders; and
• Assist the HKSI and The Cycling Association of Hong Kong, China with coach education programmes.

THE REQUIREMENTS

• A University degree or its equivalent;
• A valid Cycling coaching certificate issued by the relevant governing body;
• A minimum of 5 years professional coaching experience and proven record of achievement in coaching elite track endurance riders at world level;
• International experience and background as a cyclist is an advantage;
• Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills;
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English or Chinese;
• High level of computer literacy; and
• Awareness/ knowledge of Child Protection in sport and equal opportunity issues in the context of Hong Kong are an added advantage.
