About Our Client

Our client is a leading hardgoods manufacturer with multiple factories in China and offshores. With the rapid business expansion, they are looking for a Senior Manufacturing Operations Director to lead the full manufacturing value chain-including factory operations, production planning, supply chain integration, quality assurance, and strategic transformation. The ideal candidate will be both a visionary and an operator, capable of driving big-picture strategy while ensuring daily execution meets the highest operational standards.

Job Description

  • Lead and optimise day-to-day operations across multiple factory sites
  • Build and implement long-term manufacturing strategy aligned with corporate and commercial goals
  • Oversee factory floor performance including capacity planning, productivity, equipment utilisation, and labour efficiency
  • Champion lean manufacturing principles and digital automation across sites
  • Manage factory budgets, KPIs, and capital investments with a focus on ROI and operational agility
  • Maintain strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
  • Partner closely with R&D, Product Development, and Engineering for seamless NPI
  • Drive culture of operational excellence, employee engagement, and continuous improvement


The Successful Applicant

  • Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Business
  • 15+ years of manufacturing leadership, including senior factory management roles
  • Experience in hardgoods manufacturing (e.g., tools, hardware, home, gardening, consumer durables, electronics)
  • Demonstrated success in managing multi-site operations, new factory set up and scaling factory capabilities
  • Strong background in lean/six sigma, ERP systems, and operational transformation
  • Open to frequent travel for factory visits
  • Fluent in Cantonese, English and Mandarin

You will be involved in assisting project design works; preparing calculations and drawings; modelling of engineering behaviour, etc.
