Position Overview

Reporting to the Council of HKCTA, the Chief Executive Officer is the Association's most senior executive, responsible for shaping strategic direction, ensuring operational excellence, engaging stakeholders, and securing the long-term sustainability of the organization. The CEO will act as the public face of HKCTA, championing tennis across multiple sectors, and ensuring the Association fulfils its mission with integrity, transparency, and measurable impact.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic & Organizational Leadership

·    Lead all HKCTA operations.

·    Develop and oversee the implementation of strategic and annual operational plans and maximize reesources with clear performance indicators aligned with Council priorities.

·    Provide direction to the senior management team, set objectives, and conduct annual performance reviews.

·    Maintain strong awareness of global tennis trends to ensure HKCTA's positioning and partnerships remain internationally relevant.

·    Act as the centre link for all constituents of HKCTA's businesses, including but not limited to players development, tournaments and international events, and presented a unified HKCTA message.

·    Represent HKCTA at Annual General Meetings.

Stakeholder & Community Engagement

·    Act as HKCTA's primary representative to government bodies, sponsors, media, members, athletes, clubs, coaches, parents, and international federations.

·    Build and sustain productive relationships across the tennis ecosystem to support grassroots development and community engagement.

·    Serve as a visible and credible advocate for tennis in Hong Kong, raising the sport's profile in sporting, business, and policy circles.

Governance & Compliance

·    Ensure full compliance with LCSD funding agreements, SF&OC governance requirements, the Companies Ordinance, and all statutory obligations.

Candidate Profile

Essential Requirements

·    Strong knowledge of governance practices in Hong Kong, preferably with NSA experience.

·    Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Putonghua).
