ROLE OVERVIEW
We are expanding our operations in Hong Kong and are eager to continue building a great team. As a Client Service Operations Analyst, you will work closely with our clients to ensure service excellence and support multiple internal business segments (operations, finance, development and sales).
Responsibilities will include:
- Providing best-in-class phone, email and live chat service and support to our clients in a fast-paced environment
- Facilitating communication among internal and external stakeholders
- Recording and editing corporate media presentations using audio and video editing software (Audacity and Adobe Premiere)
- Coordinating business conference calls and live web events
- Industry research, data entry and data verification
- Client onboarding and product training
- Application testing and quality assurance to identify and report any issues or bugs
- Preparing and maintaining operational procedures to facilitate service and support
- Soliciting and internally communicating client feedback

REQUIREMENTS
Hard Skills / Experience
- English - Native or Bilingual
- 1–2 years of experience in a client-facing or professional services role (strongly preferred)
- Adept with computers and related technologies, including software applications, internal systems, and productivity suites (e.g., Microsoft Office and Google Workspace)
- Proficiency in locating, analyzing and verifying information using advanced online research techniques (i.e., knowing how to find things online beyond simply “Googling it”)
- Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills, consistently exceeding expectations through active listening, understanding client needs and delivering thoughtful, timely responses

- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving a bilities: Skilled at analyzing complex, nuanced client inquiries and drawing informed conclusions to develop tailored, client-centric solutions

COMPENSATION
- Base Salary: $61,500-$64,000 USD annually

Principal Responsibilities
In this role you will
- Guide internal stakeholders in identifying and documenting the information required to satisfy the Bank’s Know Your Customer (KYC) due diligence policies and processes
- Execute and review negative media alerts, and performs sanction & Political exposed person screening
- Check/identify for discrepancies between the information held in the customer’s documentation and profile on the system
- Review and validate the quality of the due diligence and KYC information on the bank’s customers, in line with HSBC policies at on boarding and periodic reviews
- Work with the Customer Due Diligence (CDD) Advisor when additional guidance on CDD policy is required
- Drive sustainable growth. Identifies and acts on opportunities to improve efficiency in the workflow
- Make considered decisions with factual and coherent recommendations, benefits and implications
- Keep colleagues and stakeholders informed, and take accountability for following through on outstanding issues raised within the Client Lifecycle
- Management (CLM) team to ensure prompt and efficient delivery of service
To be successful you will need
- Strong working knowledge of Anti-Money Laundering (AML), regulatory compliance and controls within the banking and financial services industry
- To understand the connection between the financial services industry, the regulatory environment and their business function, and assists in passing on their practical knowledge to their colleagues
- Strong teamwork initiative
- Ability to work professionally with all levels of staff and management
- Strong English fluency and written skills
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience

In this role, you’re expected to:
- Assess relevant customer, competitor, and industry insights to help define strategies to improve client experience and portfolio growth

- Support managing end to end card product lifecycle, including pricing, features and promotions
- Provide insight and recommendations on innovative product development, product targeting, and segmentation strategies as well as oversee aspects of product development life cycle management including market demands, technology trends, and the competitive field
- Provide insight and execute on core marketing disciplines such as product development, price, promotions, platform and pillars, launching, and marketing to improve client experience and portfolio growth
- Work closely with marketing teams to design and execute campaigns to drive adoption of fee paying services / features
- Project manage product enhancement projects which includes gathering business requirement, reviewing test plan, verify test results and monitor post launch performance, while adhering to internal governance and policy requirement.
- Manage Work closely with technology and operations to manage product enhancements projects from providing business requirement
- Participate in budgeting and planning for strategic priorities and initiatives
- Ensure adherence to regulations and internal policies
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
- 2 years of relevant experience
- Cross functional knowledge (e.g. marketing, credit, acquisitions, product development, analytics)
- Ability to drive business innovation, leverage management information, and utilize data analytics to drive results
- Experience in UAT/ PAT testing, working with technology
- Demonstrated knowledge in managing KPI and good financial acumen
- Ability to work unsupervised and adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate
- Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills

The Officer, Product specialist (Cards Portfolio Management) is an intermediate level position responsible for driving the growth and profitability of product by developing and executing strategic initiatives, marketing campaigns, and ensuring superior customer experience. The overall objective of this role is to coordinate the promotion of products to acquire new users, risk management, revenue optimization while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
**In this role, you're expected to:**
+ Assess relevant customer, competitor, and industry insights to help define strategies to improve client experience and portfolio growth
+ Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitor offerings to identify growth opportunities.
+ Support managing end to end card product lifecycle, including pricing, features and promotions
+ Provide insight and recommendations on innovative product development, product targeting, and segmentation strategies as well as oversee aspects of product development life cycle management including market demands, technology trends, and the competitive field
+ Provide insight and execute on core marketing disciplines such as product development, price, promotions, platform and pillars, launching, and marketing to improve client experience and portfolio growth
+ Work closely with marketing teams to design and execute campaigns to drive adoption of fee paying services / features
+ Project manage product enhancement projects which includes gathering business requirement, reviewing test plan, verify test results and monitor post launch performance, while adhering to internal governance and policy requirement.
+ Manage Work closely with technology and operations to manage product enhancements projects from providing business requirement
+ Participate in budgeting and planning for strategic priorities and initiatives
+ Ensure adherence to regulations and internal policies
+ Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

The person will be working independently to open accounts and onboard new relationships based on CITIC CLSA’s required standards and policies. These relationships may range across sell-side clients, buy-side trading counterparties, brokers, vendors and regulated trading venue operators.
The role is also responsible for ensuring all counterparty and client related documentation review and collection at inception of the relationships introduced by FICC are properly executed in accordance with CITIC CLSA’s required standards. The person will be working closely with KYC Operations team to approve periodic reviews, refresh of documents for existing relationships and conduct any potential remediation work as a result of internal/external audit and regulatory inspections.
The position is located in Hong Kong where the person is an integral part of the FICC front office operation.
The Analyst role will be expected to have onboarding experience in cash securities trading accounts such as bonds, convertible bonds, funds and/or repo accounts.
The Associate role will be expected to have onboarding experience for FX and Rates Derivative counterparties and must have familiarity with FX agreements, F&O, OTC clear and non-clear derivatives onboarding experience. Candidate with eFX onboarding experience will be highly favoured.
Key Areas of Responsibilities
- Follow CITIC CLSA’s standards and requirements in dealing with FICC introduced new relationships for account opening and onboarding to trade as well as complete all required documentation for execution for setup into CITIC CLSA’s front to back systems for trading and settlement.
- Guide Sales and Traders during the account opening and onboarding process on the requirements, as each case may differ given the counterparty’s investor status and the jurisdiction(s) involved to define the risk-based rating for the prospect.
- Upkeep CITIC CLSA’s central account workflow system, GoldTier with the correct constitutional and authority documents at inception and on an ongoing basis with KYC Operations for periodic review, account remediation and documentation refresh work.
- Be able to identify exceptions from CITIC CLSA policies and standards for further clearance from FICC Business Management and AML Compliance Head.
- Support inquiries related to audit and regulatory inspections of FICC and other directives from AML compliance.
- Maintain and upkeep of counterparty/client signatories and authority to trade documentation to facilitate for setup onto FICC’s electronic trading venues and for CITIC CLSA to undertake in any manual signatory execution requirement with the counterparty/client.
- Support all systems counterparty/client administration setup for new clients are in place prior to trading and ongoing amendments and changes to be properly reflected in the system prior to trading under new setup.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of international markets’ AML & KYC requirements, preferably at least 3 years of direct experience with a financial institution that operates in multiple jurisdictions will be considered for the Associate role, those with less experience may be considered for an Analyst role.
- Direct experience in independently dealing with account opening workflow system in a global financial institution preferred and familiarity with the various steps in achieving full compliance to deal with account opening using the international AML risk-based approach to define a counterparty’s risk rating will be preferred.
- Ability to explain FICC markets’ pre-trade process (e.g. DvP cash, ISDA CSA setup & GMRA setup, eFX onboarding requirements) to handhold Sales, Traders and Clients through the account opening process for onboarding will be a major plus.
- Familiarity of trading agreements used in the international FICC markets, eFX agreements, CDEA for OTC derivatives, ISDA, GMRA, VM/IM CSA and their downstream operational impacts. Associate level must have hands on experience in this area.
- Good prioritization, organisational and multi-tasking skills
- Self-motivated, desire to be challenged and eager to learn.
- Knowledge of SFC requirements around Hong Kong Professional Investors desirable
