Our veterinary students benefit from exceptional resources and state-of-the-art facilities, including the Clinical Skills Laboratory, Pathobiology Laboratory, Dairy Farm, Surgery and Anaesthesia Suite and Necropsy Suite. During their final two years, BVM students undertake structured clinical rotations at the CityU Veterinary Medical Centre, CityU Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory, and affiliated partner sites (local and overseas). We are seeking an accomplished veterinary clinician to join our team as Clinical Programme Manager, where you will lead the delivery of our BVM clinical teaching programme, ensuring students develop the skills and confidence to excel as omni-competent veterinarians.

Duties
  • Support the Dean and Assistant Dean (BVM Teaching & Learning) in overseeing the delivery, assessment and quality assurance of clinical teaching across partner sites;

  • Cultivate and maintain excellent relationships with external stakeholders, including external core placement providers, veterinarians in private practice in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area, government veterinarians, the Hong Kong Jockey Club and others;

  • Organise an annual Partner Practice Conference to provide teaching feedback and continuing professional development to veterinarians in Hong Kong that support the Jockey Club College of Veterinary Medicine and Life Sciences through hosting students on extramural studies placements;

  • Manage the co-ordination and smooth running of core student clinical rotations at partner hospitals and training facilities, aligning with curriculum and learning outcome requirements;

  • Liaise with software providers to ensure that placement software used by the College is effective, regularly updated and used optimally by team members;

  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for the effective management of clinical placements that meet international accreditation standards and conduct annual quality assurance assessments of partner sites to ensure accreditation compliance;

Requirements
  • A veterinary degree recognised for registration as a veterinary surgeon in Hong Kong;

  • Solid experience in veterinary education, preferably in a clinical teaching environment;
