Short Description
We are seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Architect with a strong focus on infrastructure and networking to design, implement, and manage scalable cloud solutions. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Azure cloud architecture, a solid background in networking and infrastructure, and knowledge of multi-cloud platforms like Alibaba Cloud. Experience with Cloud Connect projects is a plus.
Responsibilities

• Design and implement Azure-based infrastructure solutions to meet business requirements.
• Architect and manage networking solutions in cloud environments, ensuring high availability, security, and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support Cloud Connect projects and ensure seamless connectivity between on-premises and cloud environments.
• Optimize cloud infrastructure for scalability, cost-efficiency, and operational excellence.
• Provide guidance and support for multi-cloud environments, Alibaba Cloud knowledge will have Added advantage.
• Ensure compliance with cloud security and governance policies.
  

• Strong hands-on experience with Azure Cloud Infrastructure (VMs, Storage, Networking, Identity, etc.).
• Expertise in networking concepts such as virtual networks, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers.
• Solid understanding of infrastructure design (on-premises and cloud).
• Exposure to multi-cloud platforms, particularly Alibaba Cloud, added ADVANTAGE
• Experience with hybrid cloud connectivity and Cloud Connect projects.
• Knowledge of cloud security practices and compliance standards. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Experience with ITIL or other service management frameworks is a plus.
• 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and networking.
• 3+ years of experience in Azure Cloud Architecture.

• Over 15 years work experience, with at least 10 years in the IT industry with Infrastructure functions and 5+ years in architecture & design role.
• Knowledgeable on LAN/WAN design, DevOps, hybrid and public cloud integration.
• Practical experience in cloud and infrastructure architecture designs with strong technical knowledge in Azure/AWS/GCP/AliCloud within large enterprises, preferably FSI/banking.
• Relevant Certifications such as TOGAF and Azure Solutions Architect Expert are highly desirable
• Strong written and oral communication skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical audiences including senior management level

Job Description

• Lead the planning and execution of cloud infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with business and security objectives.
• Architect and maintain robust cloud environments, primarily on AWS, with a focus on scalability, performance, and cost-efficiency.
• Oversee system health through proactive monitoring and ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors on infrastructure design, configuration management, and continuous improvement.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration using Kubernetes, and automation tools to streamline operations.
• Coordinate with the Group Infrastructure Team to manage hybrid cloud and data center integrations.
• Ensure compliance with operational standards and security best practices through regular audits, updates, and documentation.
