- Responsible for multi-lines business but mainly to focus on Property & Casualty portfolios KPIs performance of the Hong Kong Business Unit focusing on Mid-Market domestic business
- Underwrite and analyze new and renewal business within delegated authority levels
- Develop and maintain relationships with brokers and other distributors in support of business retention and acquisition and work with customers and distributors to determine their insurance related needs & provide solutions, and contribute to the development of propositions
- Responsible for multi-lines business but mainly to focus on Property & Casualty portfolios KPIs performance of the Hong Kong Business Unit focusing on Mid-Market domestic business
- Underwrite and analyze new and renewal business within delegated authority levels
- Develop and maintain relationships with brokers and other distributors in support of business retention and acquisition and work with customers and distributors to determine their insurance related needs & provide solutions, and contribute to the development of propositions
- Maintain profitable multi-lines underwriting for Mid-market portfolios and provide training to other associates including the administrative assistant
- Apply all Underwriting elements for new business & renewals in handling the assignments of the highest complexity and works within delegated authorities, measuring exposure & analyzing risk, determining technical price according to certified/agreed pricing process, quoting & setting coverage, negotiating terms & conditions
- Contribute to managing accounts; build relationships in support of customer/ business acquisition and retention (e.g. by handling a range of queries, providing advice to assist with the development of an account; implementing agreed technical standards, controls, practices and procedures, thereby maintaining underwriting discipline
- Timely update and use of Underwriting Scorecards and other MI tools & processes to proactively manage and improve the portfolios mix & performance and pipelines management
- Degree holder
- Minimum 2 years working experience in General Insurance program
- Good multi-lines underwriting knowledge mainly on Property & Casualty business
- Good knowledge & experience in evaluating middle market exposures as well as directing and assisting others in analyzing unusual risks
- Experience & knowledge in negotiating mid-market deals; demonstrate in-depth experience with middle market customers and delivering customer service options
- Proven experience in troubleshooting and overcoming difficult issues with brokers and creating and delivering programs for addressing the needs of multiple or large producers
- To be a team player
- Fluency in English & Cantonese; Mandarin-speaking is an added advantage
- Excellent negotiation, influencing and selling skills – internal and external - Ability to develop strong relationships with key business partners whilst maximizing Company’s profitable growth objective
- Ability to build trust & business relationships with customers and producers.
- Open mind to try new ways and alternative approaches of doing things
- Self-starter, proactive, results and execution oriented
- Candidates with more solid Underwriting experiences will be considered for other positions

Job Overview:
Our client is seeking experienced Business Analysts with expertise in life insurance and core policy administration to support process documentation efforts. The role involves gathering business requirements, collaborating with stakeholders across various insurance departments, and developing an insurance reference architecture and service catalog for consumption.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to gather inputs and develop an insurance service catalog. Document the as-is insurance process architecture, process models, and controls.
- Create clear, concise documentation detailing process steps, requirements, and user stories or functional specifications for core insurance processes, including New Business & Policy Setup, Policy Owned Services, Claims, Billing & Collection.
- Prepare and maintain documentation, including business requirements, functional specifications, user stories, and data dictionaries.
- Identify process gaps, pain points, and areas for improvement in processes and systems, aiming to enhance operational efficiency within the insurance domain.
- Provide regular project status updates, clearly communicate requirements, and effectively manage stakeholder expectations.
Knowledge/Experience:
- At least 5 years experience in insurance process engineering and transformation projects as Business Analyst or Consultant.
