Duties

The appointee will report directly to the Director and main duties include to:

  • Assist in driving University-wide projects and ad-hoc initiatives assigned by the President or senior management;

  • Oversee project schedules, financial commitments, and expected outcomes;

  • Serve as a liaison between the Director and different teams in facilitating effective communication and collaboration;

  • Follow up with team heads on communications and public relations projects, and assist internal teams in executing tasks related to events, press conferences, and other public relations activities;

  • Prepare reports analysing communication outcomes for each team to optimise the effectiveness of communications campaigns and public relations efforts; and

  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Communications/Public Relations/Marketing or related discipline;

  • At least 12 years of post-qualification working experience in communications, public relations or related areas of work, including 3-5 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity;

  • Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua);

  • Proficiency in managing social media platforms, content creation tools, and multimedia production;

  • Being a strong, proactive, and collaborative team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the capability of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment; and

  • Being self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines are required.

  • Experience in premium or gift sourcing would be an advantage.

Candidates with less post-qualification experience may be considered for appointment as Communications Manager.
