The Plot Thickens: Job Description
- Integrated marketing communications (IMC): Provide strategic thinking and approach to guide communication tactics across different marketing channels, including paid, owned and earned media.
- Media relations : Propose strategy for media pitching, interesting story angles and maintain a network of media contacts; Organize media briefings, support media strategy counsel to spokespeople and manage media events.
- Content creation : Ensure consistent tone and accuracy of content, review key content pieces (such as press releases Q&A documents, bylines), and develop key messages and communication plans for clients (in English and Chinese).
- Market intelligence and reporting : Oversee and review different types of reports, track results against goals, and provide insightful summaries and analysis for clients.
- Client relations : Serve as a point person and trusted partner with clients, provide counsel and manage expectations for program execution and maintain a high-quality standard across the work you deliver.

Reporting to the Head of Corporate Communications, the incumbent will perform the following responsibilities to enhance HKGI’s brand awareness and foster public understanding of genomic medicine by planning and implementing a wide range of publicity initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop high-quality bilingual corporate messages and write-ups to promote the vision, mission, and achievements of HKGI
- Produce corporate publications and multimedia content, such as annual reports, leaflets, videos, and branding items, managing the entire production process from creative concept to printing and production
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the quality and accuracy of publicity materials
- Raise HKGI’s brand awareness by managing its online publicity channels, including the corporate website and social media platforms, from developing engaging posts and visuals to monitoring performance and impact
- Plan and organise corporate events and visits, ensuring smooth implementation through effective management of budget, schedule, logistics, and post-event follow-ups
- Perform any other duties assigned by senior officers
We are seeking a high-calibre candidate for the post of Manager (Corporate Communications) who possesses:
- A university degree in English and Literature, Language Studies, Communications, Public Relations, Public Administration, or related disciplines
- At least 10 years of relevant work experience, preferably gained in sizable public organisations
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, with solid skills in bilingual copywriting and development of impactful corporate stories
- Proven experience in design and production of corporate publications, such as annual reports, newsletters, and videos
- Professional knowledge and experience in managing corporate website and LinkedIn, including applications of SEO and CMS tools; experience in website revamp is an advantage
- Proven track record in planning and organising events and publicity campaigns targeting diverse stakeholders, including the general public and professionals
- Strategic thinking and attention to detail
- A proactive, self-driven attitude with the ability to work independently in a dynamic setting
- Strong presentation and communication skills, resourcefulness, and ability to multi-task
Remuneration
Successful candidate will be offered attractive remuneration and be appointed on an initial two-year contract (subject to mutual agreement for contract renewal).

- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations of charitable initiatives
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree or higher in communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field
- 6-8 years’ experience in B2B communications, media or marketing either in-house or with a public relations consultancy in the financial or related industry
- Have excellent English and Chinese (Mandarin) written and spoken communications skills, including the ability to write English and Simplified Chinese copy for marketing documents
- Have Web and intranet writing and content management skills and experience
- Demonstrated success in branding campaigns and event management
- Experience in managing or supporting corporate philanthropy initiatives is highly preferred
- Understand the media landscape and communications trends, and be confident in dealing with media and journalists
- A team player, driven and proactive
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and PowerPoint

We are seeking a highly qualified Senior Manager of Corporate Communications to join our dynamic team in Hong Kong and Shanghai. The ideal candidate will have 8-10 years of experience in corporate communications, corporate affairs or public relations, preferably within the retail or FMCG sector. This pivotal role will focus on implementing corporate communication strategies, managing media relations, coordinating high-profile events, and ensuring strong written proficiency in both English and Chinese.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategy Implementation - Support and execute comprehensive corporate communication strategies to enhance the company’s brand image and reputation on local, national and global scales.
- External Communication and Internal Coordination - Assist in communication activities, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives, values, and stakeholder expectations.
- Event Planning - Plan and execute high-impact corporate and media events, such as press conferences and media tours, to elevate brand visibility and engagement.
- Media Relations - Cultivate and maintain relationships with key media contacts, journalists, stock commentators, and industry influencers to secure positive coverage and amplify brand messaging.
- Media Monitoring - Monitor media channels and industry trends, providing strategic insights and recommendations for effective communication initiatives.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
- 8-10 years of experience in corporate communications, preferably within a publicly listed company. Experience in the retail or FMCG industry is highly desirable.
- Possess strong media relations with local and PRC media outlets, along with capabilities in storytelling and media pitching.
- Experience in managing large-scale events such as Results Announcement or press conference.
- Strong understanding of retail industry dynamics, consumer behavior, and market trends.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to mentor junior team members and foster a collaborative work environment.
- Exceptional written and verbal skills in both English and Chinese are essential.
- Familiar with digital communication tools, social media platforms, and contemporary integrated communication strategies.
- Willing to be stationed in Shanghai and travel as needed for media events or activities.

An important part of BlackRock's Corporate Affairs function, the Global Corporate Communications team leads all internal and external communications that advance our purpose of helping more and more people experience financial well-being. The team is responsible for driving compelling communications strategies and stakeholder engagement strategies that enhance our culture, drive growth, strengthen our reputation, and build our brand.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Partner closely with senior executives, business leaders, marketing, public policy, and members of the Corporate Communications team across different markets to develop proactive, multi-channel communications campaigns that drive commercial growth and impact.
+ Provide counsel to business leaders and other internal partners to ensure an integrated and aligned strategy for increasing understanding of the Aladdin platform and its capabilities.
+ Plan and drive innovative media engagement programs that build greater understanding and recognition of our brand, businesses, and social contributions.
+ Maintain strong relationships with media and continuously build new relationships (across print/broadcast/online) including with business/financial/technology media, trade, and national media.
+ Support internal communications as needed, including with select executive communications.
**Qualifications:**
+ A seasoned professional with proven experience in fast-paced, strategic communications role(s) in the financial services industry
+ Demonstrated understanding of the asset management industry, capital markets, investment products and financial technology.
+ Experience engaging with senior executives; navigating complex, global organizations; and fostering collaborative decision-making among senior stakeholders.
+ Exceptional media relations capabilities and the ability to translate complex topics to simple, compelling narratives.
