Key Responsibilities Include -

  • Support the Structural Team in delivering design drawings and supporting calculation reports for both government and private projects.
  • Support the team in supervising construction works for both government and private projects.
  • Manage the Project and deliverables (design and tender drawings packages etc.)
  • Assist the Project Director in monitoring the project progress and apply mitigation measures when necessary
  • Undertake technical project work involving design, drawings, specifications and reports
  • Work closely with discipline team members, including mentoring and guidance to other engineers in the team
  • Work closely with clients & project team members, including attendance at meetings & workshops

**About the Role:**
As a CBRE Engineer, you'll oversee a team responsible for multiple construction projects and MEP Operations for Facilities Management for clients.
**What You'll Do:**
+ Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
+ Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.
+ Conduct periodic site visits to monitor the progress of construction. Ensure the work is in general accordance with the approved drawings and specifications.
+ Prepare construction risk assessment and project status reports. Recommend the release of construction funds. Adjust project resource needs and disbursement schedules. Review agreements, and other submitted documents to ensure timelines are being met.
+ Develop communication practices to distribute to stakeholders. Identify and resolve project risks or issues.
+ Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence parties of shared interests to reach an agreement.
+ Apply knowledge of own discipline and how own discipline integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.
+ Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues which may or may not be evident in existing systems and processes.
**What You'll Need:**
+ Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
+ Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention preferred.
+ Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information. Convey performance expectations and handle problems.
+ Leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department.
+ In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
+ Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.

**Role Overview:** This position leverages main contractor experience to identify client needs at the project and estimation levels, provide insights during project execution and tender bidding, and refine Envisage’s data analytics platform to meet client expectations in the construction industry.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Analyze client requirements at the project level (e.g., drilling operations, resource allocation) and translate them into actionable system features.
  • Advise on tender bidding strategies by estimating project costs, timelines, and risks using past main contractor experience and Envisage’s data tools.
  • Collaborate with the development team to refine the platform, ensuring delivery of concise, client-focused analytics (e.g., productivity metrics, operational efficiency).
  • Act as a liaison between clients and Envisage, gathering feedback to enhance system usability and value.
  • Support sales and marketing by demonstrating how the platform meets client needs during pitches.

**Skill Requirements:**

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in project preparation, execution, estimation (cost forecasting, resource planning), tender bidding processes, and data analytics interpretation (reading dashboards or KPIs).
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of construction workflows, especially drilling operations, and main contractor dynamics (subcontractor coordination, client negotiations).
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
  • Bonus: Familiarity with 4S, labelling schemes, drillholes, or GIS for spatial data.

**Education Level:**

  • Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or related fields.
  • Preferred: Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., PMP, HKIE membership).

**Experience Level:**

  • Minimum: 5-8 years in the construction industry, with at least 3 years at a main contractor in Hong Kong, focusing on tendering, project estimation, or client-facing roles.
