The opportunity

Within EY Assurance service line, Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) professionals provide advisory services encompassing accounting and regulatory support on accounting change and special matters, accounting processes and controls support (remediation, long-term contract accounting and cost accounting), GAAP conversion and implementation, IPO and other public offering assistance, on call financial reporting advice, and transaction accounting and financial reporting assistance. We combine EY accounting, IT, analytical and process knowledge to help increase an organization's efficiency, effectiveness and operational excellence.

Your key responsibilities

• Be responsible for participating and/ or managing FAAS engagements
• Collaborate with the partner, senior manager and client to determine a FAAS strategy that appropriately addresses risk and manages client expectations relating to deliverables
• Ensure that the FAAS engagement team understands the client's needs and expectations and that the work product is client-focused, clear, accurate and well-presented
• Ensure the work is delivered timely and in compliance with regulatory requirements
• Work with other service lines in providing an integrated service delivery
• Monitor the FAAS engagement team's performance against the budget, and alter if necessary
• Cooperate with other departments or consult with appropriate resources on complex accounting issues, and provide comprehensive accounting advisory services to client
• Involve in business development for FAAS work

Requirements: Skills and attributes for success

• A bachelor's or a master's degree with at least 2 years of related work experience
• Experienced in IPO projects
• ACCA/HKICPA/AICPA certification or equivalent
• Strong technical skills and recognized cautious risk management ability
• Familiar with HKFRS, IFRS, PRC GAAP, US GAAP or other reporting standards
• Strong management skills to lead teams, delegate appropriately, mentor, review performance and counsel employees
• Good command of written and verbal communication, presentation, client service and technical writing skills

Key Responsibilities

1. Contract Listing Management: Conduct evaluations for new listings, coordinate integration testing, manage gray and full launches, and work with operations and communications for announcements.
2. Core Operations & Parameter Maintenance: Maintain critical parameters such as index/mark prices, funding rates, leverage, and margin settings to ensure market stability.
3. Market Risk Monitoring: Monitor price volatility, open interest and liquidation risk, abnormal funding rates, basis deviation, and order book depth; execute contingency plans upon threshold triggers.
4. Emergency Incident Handling (On-call): Serve as the first responder to extreme market conditions or system abnormalities, coordinating across Risk, Matching Engine, Infrastructure, and Customer Service teams to ensure timely resolution, postmortem analysis, and corrective actions.
5. Data Analysis & Reporting: Build and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly reports tracking trading volume, open interest, liquidation data, funding rates, user composition/retention, and anomaly alerts to support product and risk strategy decisions.
6. Process Optimization & Compliance Coordination: Continuously improve operation manuals and contingency plans; work with Compliance and Legal teams to ensure all operational processes meet regulatory and internal audit requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above; STEM background preferred (Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Electronics, Financial Engineering, etc.).
• ≥3 years of experience in trading, operations, or risk control, including at least 1 year in the crypto or derivatives trading industry.
• Hands-on trading experience in spot or derivatives markets, with solid understanding of funding rate mechanisms, mark pricing, liquidation processes, basis, and hedging logic.
• Strong stress tolerance and attention to detail: able to handle irregular working hours and stay calm during emergencies with rigorous post-event review.
• Proficient in data analysis using Excel; SQL/Python skills are a plus (able to independently extract data, create metrics, and conduct anomaly diagnostics).
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills with Product, Engineering, and Risk teams.
• Language: Fluent in Mandarin; English reading and writing skills sufficient for documentation and external information review preferred.
