Role Purpose

  • To establish, maintain and expand professional relationships with government and regulatory officials to position HK Express as a leading LCC in Asia
  • To identify, evaluate, recommend and deliver political and regulatory activities designed to positively influence HK Express's ability to achieve regional and national business goals.

Government affairs and external relationships

  • Actively and regularly engage with relevant government stakeholders and regulatory bodies (including but not limited to local government authorities, statutory bodies, professional organisations, local community groups) on a consistent basis in regards to HK Express scheduling and airline operation policies
  • Monitor policy making, legislative and regulatory activities of central government and local governmental entities to ensure HK Express operates effectively within the constraints and maximises opportunities and advise the potential impact on the organisation;
  • Be the point of contact to represent Head Office Corporate Affairs as necessary
  • Provide expertise and guidance on regulatory affairs;
  • Provide insights into prospects and issues for new cities, market entry including local government meeting arrangements and relationship building
  • Help to ensure all regulatory requirements are met for the airline with a view to making full compliance easier to achieve
  • Investigate and handle complaints under the relevant ordinances/regulations.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in communications or a closely related discipline Knowledge, Skills, Training and Experience
