We are looking for a full-time paralegal to join our M&A team in Hong Kong. The successful candidate's primary role will work under the direct supervision of senior lawyers to support the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide paralegal support to members of the M&A team.
- Advise clients on international standards and legal matters related to new investment projects, joint ventures, and M&A.
- Draft, review, and translate documents in English, Chinese, and occasionally French.
- Conduct legal research, preliminary due diligence, and document review across various jurisdictions.
- Manage clients' transactions and ongoing legal requirements proactively.
- Coordinate with third parties, including bidding agencies, certification agents, government offices, and external service providers.
- Participate in business development activities, such as writing articles, conducting seminars, preparing know-how materials and legal updates
- Perform additional duties as appropriate.
- Business-level command (written and speaking) in English and Mandarin a must. Fluency in French is a bonus.
- A law degree from any jurisdiction
- Prior experience working at an international law firm or within an in-house legal team advantageous
- Strong resilience and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Willingness to learn, flexibility, and the ability to exercise sound judgment
- Exceptional research skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office is a must.

- Participate in user acceptance test for system enhancements
- Degree holder in Business/Accounting or related disciplines
- Minimum 2 year of relevant working experience in banking operations and fund administration. Fresh graduates with good potential and high caliber will also be considered
- The role is initially attached to one FA Team managing a portfolio of hedge funds and private equity funds. Good performers have the opportunity to rotate to the other teams to learn the other portfolios for development into well roundedprofessional in FA. Further development in Custody Operations is possible in later career moves
- Good knowledge in finance and accounting and able to prepare financial statement
- Good knowledge in financial product such as fixed income securities, derivatives, foreign exchange, interest rate swap, etc
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
- Immediate available is preferred

Reporting to the Head of Corporate Communications, the incumbent will perform the following responsibilities to enhance HKGI’s brand awareness and foster public understanding of genomic medicine by planning and implementing a wide range of publicity initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop high-quality bilingual corporate messages and write-ups to promote the vision, mission, and achievements of HKGI
- Produce corporate publications and multimedia content, such as annual reports, leaflets, videos, and branding items, managing the entire production process from creative concept to printing and production
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the quality and accuracy of publicity materials
- Raise HKGI’s brand awareness by managing its online publicity channels, including the corporate website and social media platforms, from developing engaging posts and visuals to monitoring performance and impact
- Plan and organise corporate events and visits, ensuring smooth implementation through effective management of budget, schedule, logistics, and post-event follow-ups
- Perform any other duties assigned by senior officers
We are seeking a high-calibre candidate for the post of Manager (Corporate Communications) who possesses:
- A university degree in English and Literature, Language Studies, Communications, Public Relations, Public Administration, or related disciplines
- At least 10 years of relevant work experience, preferably gained in sizable public organisations
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, with solid skills in bilingual copywriting and development of impactful corporate stories
- Proven experience in design and production of corporate publications, such as annual reports, newsletters, and videos
- Professional knowledge and experience in managing corporate website and LinkedIn, including applications of SEO and CMS tools; experience in website revamp is an advantage
- Proven track record in planning and organising events and publicity campaigns targeting diverse stakeholders, including the general public and professionals
- Strategic thinking and attention to detail
- A proactive, self-driven attitude with the ability to work independently in a dynamic setting
- Strong presentation and communication skills, resourcefulness, and ability to multi-task
Remuneration
Successful candidate will be offered attractive remuneration and be appointed on an initial two-year contract (subject to mutual agreement for contract renewal).

Location: Hong Kong
Description
Under the supervision of a senior team member, the successful candidate will work with team members in delivering a range of corporate administration services to a varied portfolio of clients and related entities, managing the related workload to ensure that client requests for actions are responded to within a suitable timeframe.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle a varied client portfolio including all aspects of administration & company secretarial matters such as drafting minutes and resolutions, managing incorporation or transfer-in matters and ensuring statutory filings are duly made.
- Work with the team manager to ensure the planning, coordination and completion of all regulatory obligations and administration requirements within strict deadlines for the portfolio of entities, including preparation of statutory filings, annual payment or ad-hoc reporting in accordance with local regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with Finance team for payment arrangement and identifying the client settlement effectively.
- Liaise with client on-boarding team for new business and re-assessment of the existing matters and ensure the latest due diligence and certification requirements are being followed.
- Support the 'Ogier Best Way' ethos across the team through rigorous process analysis to drive alignment and consistency.
- Contribute towards the business as a whole in identifying process improvements, including improvements in policies and procedures and any other service innovation changes that would improve the client experience.
- Background for Senior Administrator level with at least 5 years offshore (Cayman , BVI) experience, ideally from professional firm/CPA firm/law firm preferred.
- Technical knowledge of the applicable statutory laws and other related regulatory requirements.
- Good academic background with professional qualification such as membership of HKCGI/CGI or STEP, will be an advantage.
- Good written and verbal communication skills. Fluent in both Mandarin and English.
- Commitment to the highest standards of client service based on understanding needs and delivering solutions.
- Knowledge of the MS Office package (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point). Experience in using Viewpoint would be an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail. Must be committed and driven to achieving excellence for themselves, their client and their team.
