Assistant Instructional Designer / Instructional Design Officer (Ref: 25001XG)
Major Duties and Responsibilities
The appointee(s) will be responsible mainly for the following:
- To assist with the word processing of content for digital publication and printing
- To proofread and check the content for accuracy
- To provide support in copyright clearance for publication of course materials
- To support the Instructional Design Team, providing assistance in preparing multimedia components, including video production; and
- To perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Advancement of Learning and Teaching or his/her nominees
Requirements
Applicants are expected to possess the following qualifications, experience and attributes:
- Bachelor's degree with some years of relevant working experience;
- Proficient command of written and spoken Chinese and English;
- Proficient Microsoft Office skills (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
- Self-motivated, well-organized, detail-minded;
- Some experience in teaching; or editing of educational materials would be an advantage;
- Immediate availability is highly preferred.
Applicants with less relevant experience may be considered for appointment as Instructional Design Officer.
Candidates may be invited to attend a written test.

- Experience working within the financial services industry (e.g. working on new projects like Virtual Assets) , or candidates with 12-15 yrs+ experience from universities (helping professors set up their e-course), Professional Associations, or other sizable commercial companies with a mature LMS.
- Knowledge of modern learning technologies and platforms, using tools like: Adobe, Articulate, Captivate, Camtasia, Xapi,
- Proficiency in designing user-centric learning experiences.
- Excellent communication , project delivery and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
- Excellent communication and English & Chinese is required.

Job Summary:
Reporting to the Senior Manager of the Curriculum & Examinations Department (CED), you will be an integral part of a team for designing and managing the processes and activities necessary to develop and maintain quality examinations and study materials for a diverse range of professional examinations offered by the HKSI Institute.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for and/or assisting the Managers in the following key areas:
- Manage and co-ordinate projects related to the development and enhancement of examinations and qualification programmes, including curriculum design, examination question formulation, and the development of relevant study supports.
- Act as an in-house subject matter expert on SFC-related regulatory knowledge to support other business units in their service offerings and business development initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with subject matter experts, content developers, industry practitioners, academics, and other stakeholders as required.
Skills, Abilities and Knowledge Required:
- Strong knowledge of corporate finance, securities regulations and HKEX listing/trading rules.
- Proven experience in project management
- Strong judgement; proven ability to work independently and to solve complex problems effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and committed to continuous improvement.
- Proficient in spoken and written English and Chinese
- Good computer literacy, such as MS Office and Chinese processing, with familiarity in leveraging technology for administrative purposes
Qualification Requirement and Work Experience:
- University degree or above in finance, accounting, law or related disciplines
- Professional qualification in project management (e.g. PMP or equivalent) is an advantage.
- A minimum of Eight (8) years of relevant work experience in legal or regulatory compliance, corporate finance, financial services sector or a related field, with at least Four (4) years at a managerial level
- Work experience in educational institutions, training providers, professional examination and/or regulatory bodies will be an advantage
