Responsibilities:

Customer Strategy and Analytics:

  • Support the development and implementation of customer strategies aligned with business goals, translating business questions into quantitative analyses to guide decision-making.
  • Conduct in-depth customer analysis to understand customer profiles, behaviors and trends, generating actionable insights to identify opportunities for customer growth and retention.
  • Evaluate customer campaign performance by analysing key metrics and customer responses, providing business insights to improve campaign effectiveness and support test-and-learn initiatives.
  • Perform ad hoc data analyses and support related projects as required.

Power BI Dashboard Development and Monitoring:

  • Define relevant KPIs and key metrics for Customer Dashboard and CRM Dashboard to measure business performance and progress.
  • Design, develop, maintain and enhance dashboards to track key customer metrics and CRM campaign performance, enabling informed decision-making and strategic planning.

CRM Campaign Targeting:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to refine customer segmentation and targeting criteria for CRM campaigns.
  • Identify opportunities to expand the CRM reach and improve campaign targeting strategies.
  • Support in data extraction and preparation for CRM campaign targeting efforts.

Fostering a Data-Driven Environment and AI Adoption:

  • Provide data support to promote a data-driven culture within Marketing department for the purpose of deriving business insights.
  • Stay updated, explore and recommend AI and emerging technologies for CRM and data analytics.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related subjects
  • 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in financial services or consulting firms focusing on CRM, data and analytics
  • Proven experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, etc.) and data mining tools (e.g. SQL, Python, etc.)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate insights effectively to business stakeholders
  • Attention to detail, self-motivated, proactive, and with a positive attitude
  • Experience with Databricks and Salesforce Marketing Cloud is a plus
  • Good command of English, Cantonese and preferably Mandarin

  • A mature self-starter with strong drive, solid analytic mind, remarkable problem-solving skills and good soft skills, including interpersonal, negotiation and project management
  • Open-minded and receptive to different new ideas
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with good command of English and Chinese in both spoken and written. Fluent in Putonghua is an advantage

About The Opportunity

The Director of Business Intelligence (BI) will lead the development and execution of the company’s BI strategy, driving data-driven decision-making across all business units. This role will oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of BI systems, processes, and teams to deliver actionable insights that align with organizational goals. The Director will collaborate with cross-functional leadership to enhance strategic planning, operational efficiency, and market competitiveness, with a focus on leveraging data to support growth in the industry

Responsibilities

  • Strategic BI Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive BI strategy tailored to the business objectives, ensuring alignment with market dynamics and organizational priorities.
  • Deep Business Understanding: Leverage in-depth knowledge of the crypto exchange business, including trading, market trends, and regulatory requirements, to provide relevant and impactful data insights that drive decision-making.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the primary liaison with Business Operations (BO) and Product teams, translating business needs into data-driven solutions and fostering strong communication to ensure alignment and actionable outcomes.
  • Task Management and Delegation: Assign and oversee data requests from BO and other stakeholders, tasking Data Analysts (DA) and Data Visualizers (DV) to generate insights, dashboards, and reports, while ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Team Leadership and Coordination: Manage and mentor a team of Data Analysts, Data Visualizers, and Data Scientists, fostering collaboration across these functions to deliver cohesive BI solutions, including advanced analytics, data models, and visualizations.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Present complex data insights and recommendations to C-suite executives, BO, and Product teams in a clear and actionable manner, serving as the voice of data within the organization.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive innovation in BI processes, tools, and methodologies, staying ahead of the industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance data capabilities and team performance.

Requirement

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experienced in business intelligence, data analytics, or related roles, with experience in a leadership position.
  • Proven expertise in BI tools and data platformsUnderstanding of the cryptocurrency, blockchain, or fintech industries, with experience analyzing market and customer data in these sectors.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a track record of building and scaling high-performing teams.
  • Advanced knowledge of data modeling, ETL processes, SQL, and programming languages such as Python or R.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data insights into actionable business strategies for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with data governance, compliance, and security standards, particularly in regulated industries.
  • Strategic mindset with a focus on driving business outcomes through data-driven insights

Description

Candidates should have proven experience working in a fast-paced research environment, excellent qualitative analytical skills, and a track record of producing high quality research for use in a commercial setting. Candidates should have a strong knowledge of the region’s business and political environments, as well as an innate sense of curiosity about international affairs, public policy and global markets more generally.

Key Responsibilities

The exact responsibilities will vary depending on the role offered. However, we broadly look for the below skills when considering applicants for all our positions:

  • Manage complex open source and human intelligence-led investigative assignments (including pre-transactional integrity due diligence checks and other bespoke investigations);
  • Write concise and cogent reports that weave in research findings with an in-depth contextualized analysis of key issues and other pertinent findings;
  • Deliver written and verbal briefings to senior management and clients on research findings;
  • Prepare proposals for new business;
  • Support the development of Anthesis Business Intelligence’s human source network in Asia; and
  • Once comfortable with Anthesis Business Intelligence’s house style and research methodologies, assist in training new team members and proofreading reports.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

We require as a minimum these qualifications and experience:

  • Fluency reading and writing English in a commercial context and at least one key regional language;
  • 1-6 years’ full-time post-graduate work experience in the corporate intelligence industry and/or another relevant investigative background;
  • Experience using open source research tools such as LexisNexis and Factiva, as well as regional and language-specific databases and media sources;
  • Ability to plan and manage multifaceted research projects from the proposal stage to delivering our work to the client;
  • A working knowledge of financial, commercial and legal concepts;
  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited university; and
  • Professional proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite.

Candidates should also have demonstrable skills in the following areas:

  • A keen interest in Asian and international affairs and business;
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team;
  • A proactive, can-do mindset and willingness to work outside job specifications when required;
