• Responsible for building and maintaining the group's compliance database, continuously expanding the data scope, and optimizing the data usage experience

Duties

The appointee will be required to:

(a) support the departmental budget allocation of academic units of the University;

(b) design, build up and maintain database;

(c) compile, interpret, and analyse mass data;

(d) conduct data manipulation for scenario study;

(e) develop, enhance and execute tailor-made funding model in conjunction with the resource allocation exercise;

(f) project/estimate and present strategical information for supporting decision making by the management;

(g) perform general accounting duties including financial accounting, management accounting and budgeting; and

(h) perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Finance or his delegate.

Qualifications

Applicants should have:

(a) a recognised degree, preferably in Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, Analytics or a related discipline;

(b) at least two years' post-qualification experience, preferably in database design and data analytics or other related fields;

(c) proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access and Python;

Key Responsibilities

1. In-Depth Analysis and Design: Conduct thorough analysis of source and target system data models, business logic, and discrepancies. Participate in designing technically feasible, high-performance data migration and transformation solutions.

2. High-Performance Data Development:

· Write highly efficient, stable, and maintainable SQL and PL/SQL scripts (stored procedures, functions, packages) for data extraction, cleansing, and loading.

· Develop custom data migration tools, validation programs, and data processing middleware using Java to address complex logic and high-performance requirements.

1. Large-Volume Data Processing and Optimization: Design and implement migration strategies for TB-scale data, resolve performance bottlenecks during migration, and perform necessary SQL tuning and system optimization.

2. End-to-End Quality Assurance: Develop and execute data validation, comparison, and rollback plans to ensure 100% accuracy and integrity of migrated data. Create detailed technical documentation.

3. Migration Execution and Operations: Participate in migration rehearsals and actual cutover activities. Provide rapid problem diagnosis and solutions to ensure a smooth transition in the production environment.

Qualifications
