Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Leadership

Team Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate and oversee the offshore team in Mainland China, ensuring project goals and timelines are met.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between onshore and offshore teams and with other departments.
- Act as a technical liaison, translating complex data concepts for business stakeholders and guiding the team to deliver user-centric solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) or equivalent experience.

A day in the life
Also expected from the DCEO is the ability to execute small-to-medium impacting projects from conception to completion. These projects involve moderate amounts of independent work as well as collaboration with external support groups including engineering, automation, processing, and finance in controlled environments. The DCEO will be tasked with creating and delivering on key milestones, obtaining and tracking quotes for all necessary costs, and documenting project results. The goals of such projects are to drive innovation and resiliency while reducing operational costs in the facilities.

- First-line troubleshooting and reporting of facility and high-criticality events within a pre-determined service level agreement (SLA)

Basic Qualifications

- Lead new build and expansion projects to improve the operations efficiency, including the design, implementation, and commissioning phases;
- Assist in internal recruitment including conducting interviews and assisting with onboarding.
A day in the life
Also expected from the DCEO is the ability to execute small-to-medium impacting projects from conception to completion. These projects involve moderate amounts of independent work as well as collaboration with external support groups including engineering, automation, processing, and finance in controlled environments. The DCEO will be tasked with creating and delivering on key milestones, obtaining and tracking quotes for all necessary costs, and documenting project results. The goals of such projects are to drive innovation and resiliency while reducing operational costs in the facilities.   
- Providing timely escalation for all facilities-related issues within the data center
- First-line troubleshooting and reporting of facility and high-criticality events within a pre-determined service level agreement (SLA)
- Providing assistance to junior and peers
- Oversight of third-party vendors to ensure that all work performed is in accordance with established safety protocols, best practices, and local legislation
- Utilization of administrative tools for change management, ticketing, and asset management.
- Supporting project/stakeholder team and vendor activities
- Overseeing of all Commissioning activities
- Completion of assigned project tasks and managing associated reporting metrics
- Engagement of other supporting teams for issue resolution
- Ensuring compliance of AWS Data Center safety and security protocols
- Involve in day-to-day data center facility operations work including facility change management
- Involve in vendor management and technical consultation work
- Review emergency and standard operating procedures
- Participate in facility event analysis
- Participate in emergency drills and emergency facility event response
- Participate in local and global facility operations-related projects
- Participate in multiple cross-team trainings

- High Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline;
- Experience with operation and maintenance of data centers, or Mission Critical facility management experience for a large enterprise or large Colocation provider;
- Good work attitude and eagerness to learn, with deep attention to details and accuracy; also possess strong problem-solving skills and strong ability to work independently and take initiative, while also being a collaborative team player who can work effectively with others.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience with facility management, and operating and maintaining infrastructure equipment in critical facilities such as datacenters, operation factories, substations, hospitals, etc.;
- Proficient in comprehending electrical systems (HV/MV supply system of power substations, transformers, switchgears, VFI-class UPS, PDU, ATS, STS or VRLA battery, Li-ion battery and related systems, fuel systems related to diesel generators, surge control circuits, active harmonic filters, battery monitoring systems, branch circuit monitoring systems, SCADA systems), or possess the ability to understand mechanical systems (CRAC/CRAH, AHU, chillers, cooling towers, thermal buffer tanks, heat exchangers, plumbing systems, pumps, valves, duct systems, fans, dampers, fire detection and extinguishing systems, drainage systems, building monitoring systems, automatic control systems);
- Proven experience in major facilities incident management;

Responsibility:
- Design, implement and manage the enterprise data architecture and roadmap, including architecture vision, principles, standards and policies, target state blueprints, and roadmap for the relevant data domain.
- Implement DataOps practices for CI/CD in data workflows.
- Work with vendors and IT team on infrastructure alignment and security compliance, and to resolve technical issues.
Requirement:
- Degree holder in Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant disciplines.
- 5 years f IT experience with at least 3 years of experience in data engineering.
- Solid understanding of enterprise data architecture, with hands-on experience in building or maintaining data platforms and cloud resources for data project implementation.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, data modelling, and ETL/ELT design.
- Deep Azure cloud expertise (e.g., Databricks, Data Factory).
- Actively engage in and contribute to relevant solution design review activities and data architecture review forum and conduct project technical reviews and health checks.
- Promote ideas for using effective technologies based on analysis of technology industry and market trends.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in designing and deploying data applications on cloud solutions, such as Azure.
- Data management and governance related certificate is a plus
