Alumni Services are looking for a Data Governance Lead for our client, based in Hong Kong . As the Data Governance Lead, you will define and manage our firm-wise
Data Governance framework in accordance to our internal Data Policy and industry
best practice. You will also lead the effort to implement the technologies required to
support the Data Governance Framework.
You should have extensive experience in data management and governance practices,
covering data ownership and stewardship, identity and access control, data
classification and protection, etc. Experience in implementation of data governance
framework and running data committee in an enterprise environment is a big plus.

Responsibilities
- Act as the go-to person in the organisation for data management and governance issues
- Maintain and manage firm-wise data governance framework in accordance with internal Data Policy and industry best practices, as well as assist in operating the data governance committee
- Design and continuously refine and optimise the data governance SOPs
- Assist in implementing and refining data governance tools and SOPs and drive adoption across the organisation
Key Skills
- Extensive experience (6+ years) in data management and governance, while having 2+ years in an enterprise environment.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, able to providing strategic influence to senior business stakeholders on data governance framework adoption
- Experience in implementing of data governance framework and operating data committee in an enterprise environment is highly desired.
- Experience in data governance tools and leveraging them to drive implementation of data governance SOPs such as metadata management, data quality management, master data management and reference data management.
- Experience in implementing of unstructured data management to facilitate AI strategy and AI governance is highly desired.
- Experience in implementing data protection and data security capabilities such as encryption, anonymization is a plus.

We are now looking for a talented Assistant Data Engineering Lead to be part of our team. The candidate will be leading a small data management and engineering team to manage and enhance a data platform on cloud. The incumbent will work closely with internal IT, business stakeholders, data analyst, business analyst and vendors on planning, management, execution & delivery of data management and the enablement for data-driven business model for Swire Properties. The incumbent will also work with internal stakeholders in ensuring the data is managed in accordance to Data protection policies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain, design, and enhance a Data Platform on the Cloud, to enable both CRM and non-CRM applications, such as data analytics, customer de-duplication and anonymization, machine learning model and Generative AI adoption
- Lead a team of internal and external developers in maintaining and enhancing existing ETL pipelines and storage on an Azure Data Platform
- Supporting the Data Management and Analytics Lead in managing and prioritizing enhancements on cloud platform
- Collaborate with Digital & IT Team and external data management vendors to establish end-to-end data pipeline (real-time and/or batch) from data ingestion, transformation, to data modelling through requirement gathering, data mapping, testing, and troubleshooting, and other relevant processes
- Develop and enhance the data deduplication and anonymization pipelines upon data source updates, and changes
- Integrate and update a Data Model for BI Dashboard and general analytics development
- Collect and review requirements to update and maintain a robust data model for a wide range of analytics purposes
- Ensure the data and information are delivered on-time with high quality, good performance, reconciled and integrity assured
- Support the Data Management and Analytics Lead in providing data requirements on upstream systems and touchpoints upon the introduction of incremental
REQUIREMENTS
- University graduate in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information System or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years’ working experience in data infrastructure and architecture with demonstrated experience and capability in data warehousing, data modelling and design, data integration, data migration, ETL/ELT, BI and Big data solutions skill sets and strong SQL, Pyspark & Python
- Experience in data processing with small data & big data storage format like CSV, Parquet, Hive Metastore is a must
- Experience with implementing and maintaining cloud services such as Azure (Data Lake Storage Gen2, SQL DB, Data Factory, Databricks, Unity Catalog, DevOps) or related is highly desirable
- Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD) and Continuous Integration/ Development (CI/CD) in data platform development and design, implementation & maintenance regarding data platform security is highly desirable
- Experience with implementing semantic model for BI visualization tool, Machine Learning engineering or Agentic AI implementation is highly desirable
- Experience with data quality management, data lineage & data catalog is highly desirable
- Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies and working with project management tools like Jira is a plus
- Experience in leading a small team of data engineers and vendor management
- Good presentation & communication skills written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin

As the Data Support Lead , you will oversee the APAC region, empowering Portfolio Managers (PMs) and Analysts through exceptional data solutions, technical enablement, and personalized support. You will lead and mentor a team of specialists and analysts and collaborate closely with data engineers, data scientists, and content experts across key geographic locations, as well as senior investment professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and mentor a team of specialists and analysts, providing regular feedback and fostering a culture of technical mastery, curiosity, and continuous improvement. Actively participate in daily support and technical tasks to serve as a subject matter expert and role model.
- Maintain and elevate the standard of technical and customer support for front, middle, and back-office users across all asset classes. Oversee team workloads to ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are consistently met and users are delighted with their experience.
- Act as the escalation point for high-impact or complex user issues, driving timely resolutions and conducting root cause analyses. Lead problem management processes for data tooling, identifying trends and implementing process improvements.
- Partner with investment teams, technology, and product groups to ensure a seamless and responsive user experience. Advocate for regional user needs within global forums to address local requirements.
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, automate repetitive tasks, and enhance support processes. Expand and maintain knowledge bases, training materials, and documentation to empower users and team members.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in data enablement. Encourage experimentation, learning, and the adoption of innovative solutions to improve efficiency and user satisfaction.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in data analysis, data engineering, or data enablement, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proficiency in technologies such as Python, SQL, AWS, Git, and Airflow, with a proven track record of technical aptitude and the ability to learn new tools and platforms.
- Experience working with investment professionals or financial data—especially time-series data and third-party data vendors—is preferred.

- To govern and oversee the Data Centre Operations of the two critical facilities in Hong Kong
- Responsible for the planning and delivery of all supporting physical infrastructure, logistics, and the resources required to meet anticipated growth
- Assist in implementing the service management methodologies including incident, problem, change and capacity management within our SLA commitments
- To work closely with the local country managers and the asset management teams to improve data quality and eliminate the gaps
- As part of service management, drive the Colocation vendors for continuous improvement and ensure the facilities are governed to ensure they are maintained to the required standard
- Lead various projects and programs as needed to drive long-term objectives for the domain and beyond
- Track the maintenance activities are conducted on the infrastructure on a periodical basis and established business continuity management practices are followed
- End to End responsibly of the Data Centre Infrastructure Management solution and compliance
- Identify process breakdowns across organizational workflows and implement solutions that improve effectiveness, improve processes continuously
- Work with the regional security teams to implement the physical security, media disposal and Pipeline, Procurement and provisioning process
- Identify the process areas that can be automated to yield cost saves and increase the efficiency in process across the function
- Drive the capacity management and review the utilization of sites with focus on sustainability
- Setup and coach staff to prepare for future with clear directions, monitor job descriptions and objectives
- Identify and invest in talent to ensure the critical functions are skilled and qualified to perform the role
- Lead by example to build an operational culture bind by values within and across the wider organisation
- Drive efficiency and provide continuous feedback to ensure rewards are in line with the performance
- Management of risk and control requirements covering internal and external audit engagements
- Govern and oversee the regulatory inspections across the estate responsible
- Take measures with focus on risk avoidance and channel risk remediation timely
- As need arise, act promptly on known risk and control weakness that surface through the journey
- Understanding of Operational Risk Framework and awareness to implement procedural changes
- Manage and thrive to maintain the Control Design Effectiveness (CDE) and Control Operating Effectiveness (COE) of risk controls across the Data Centre sites with discipline
- Maintain a culture of safety, security and compliance in all aspects of data centre operations
- Enable local country managers for risk awareness and strong mitigation plans to minimize / eliminate
- Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
