The Opportunity
We are looking for a Data Strategist to join our Technology Consulting – Data and Analytics (DnA) team in our Hong Kong office.
EY Data and Analytics (EY DnA) is our flagship data and advanced analytics capability within EY Asia-Pacific, with over 500 specialist employees working across multiple industry sectors.
We implement information-driven strategies and systems that help grow, optimize and protect client organizations. We go beyond strategy and provide end to end implementation of real-life data environments and have some of the best architects, project managers, business analysts, data scientists, big data engineers, developers and consultants in the region.
Your Key Responsibilities
As a Data Strategist , you will support our clients in defining and implementing their data journey. You will contribute to projects in data-related transformation initiatives.
Your main responsibilities include:

• Data Strategy roadmap development and adoption, including Business Case development working
• Data Governance design
• Data and Analytics Operating Model design
• Lead the pursuit of new Data Strategy, Data Management and Data Governance projects
• Deliver client executive advisory consulting in Data Strategy and Data Governance enablement
• Learn about new data and analytics technology and methods, and how they could be applied for the benefit of our clients
• Lead engagement teams for Data Strategy, Data Management and Data Governance projects; mobilise and manage the project team
• Provide regular performance feedback, coaching and direction to team members regarding career development aligned to their career aspirations
  

• At least 10 years’ experience in leading end-to-end value Data and Analytics transformation programs
• Strong stakeholder management skills across multiple levels for both internal and external
• Strong problem-solving skills with proven ability to analyze issues from different perspectives and draw commercially sound recommendations
• Ability to lead business development with a proven track record of achieving consulting sales in the Data & Analytics domain
• Fluency in English, Mandarin or Cantonese preferred
  

• Exceptional communicational skills to build strong business relationship with senior executives
• Superior internal and external stakeholder management skills with the ability to credibly communicate, negotiate and influence strategic outcomes at C-level executives

Job Responsibilities

As a consultant you will be working on challenging projects with international blue-chip clients across diverse industries, on both advanced data analytics and consulting, including meeting with clients and building bespoke solutions to face their challenges. You will be working in teams of 3 to 6 consultants, on 1 to 3 projects simultaneously.

You’ll be involved in projects from first discovery meetings all the way to final recommendations, gathering and analyzing data, building statistical models, translating quantitative insights into strategic recommendations. You will have the opportunity to be creative and suggest innovative approaches, and well as being pushed to grow into taking ownership of your projects.

You’ll be able to present your results and will be exposed to C-suite clients.

You’ll build expertise on several methodologies and industries and develop an exceptional combination of both technical and business skills. You will be accompanied in your learning process through our training program as well as through coaching and mentoring from colleagues. You will have high-exposure to each member of our close-knit team, including the Managing Partner in APAC, who is leading the growth of this entity.

Profile

We’re looking for talented candidates with the following profile:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Statistics, Economics, Engineering or a related analytical field. Outstanding record of academic achievement.
• 0-2 years of experience in Data Analysis / Modelling / Advanced Analytics to answer business questions
• Experience with statistical software such as R, Python, SQL, etc

• Own end-to-end analytics for core business verticals, developing and iteratively improving analytical frameworks with measurable KPIs
• Quantify strategy effectiveness and ROI through attribution modeling, A/B testing, and statistical analysis
• Deliver executable growth recommendations with implementation plans
  
  
  

• Partner with product teams to enable data-driven iterations
• Build dashboards and analytical tools via cross-functional collaboration
  
  
  

• Automate analyses using Python/SQL while enhancing methods with AI tools
• Transform statistical insights into actionable business guidance
  
  
  

• 统招本科及以上学历，理工/商科背景，3+年商业分析经验
