This individual will be part of a small team of data and software developers responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day implementation of a large research infrastructure and live trading of billions of dollars of capital across global markets, including equities, futures, options, and other financial instruments.
Responsibilities- Building processes and tools to ingest, tag, and clean datasets.
- Assisting Data Analysts and Data Scientists with data processing, enrichment, and product development.
- Contributing to infrastructure and applications primarily written in Python, with additional work in Go and C++.
- Monitoring and improving automated data collection and cleansing infrastructure.
- Researching new technologies for better data management and retrieval.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, engineering, or a relevant quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Physics.
- Proficiency in Python and its ecosystem (numpy, pandas, polars, scikit-learn), with understanding of Python internals.
- Knowledge of Go and/or C++ is a plus.
- Experience with software architecture and engineering best practices (testing, CI/CD, monitoring, profiling, version control).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to develop efficient solutions in a fast-paced environment.

This is a Team Specialist position at Director within Risk, Regulatory & Resilience, which performs various independent functions to ensure adequate controls are in place. We do this by providing an integrated risk and control framework to govern, assess, mitigate and manage financial and operational risk in Operations.

What You'll Do
> Perform Client Due Diligence review in support of the Firm new client onboarding and existing client regular review in accordance with the applicable regulatory program requirements (such as UK, US, Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia KYC requirements and applicable market regulatory standards)
> Manage and supervise the teams responsible for performing Client Due Diligence review for new client onboarding and/or periodic review.
> Prepare regular status update metrics to the regional manager
> Act as a first point of escalation for daily processing
> Escalate issues in a timely manner to the regional manager
> Proactively suggest process improvement ideas for the processes performed by the team
> Handle Global client identification and know your client documentation checks on both new and existing relationships of the firm
> Deliver results with good quality in a timely manner and within required deadlines/time frame
> Establish good working relationships with regional teams and internal clients in various jurisdictions
> Respond to change e.g. regulation change, new business and/or technology projects and provide solutions to enhance and/or implement controls and processes
> Understand the front to back of our roles and have a sound understanding of audit related requirements.
> Ability to handle volume spikes and prioritize work including ad-hoc requests and projects to meet business demands in a timely manner
> Manage audit or policy change related remediation work and deliver high quality results
> Manage interactions with Internal Audit and Compliance testing as well as other internal control organizations
> Establish effective supervisory controls, checks and procedures and manage any change in procedures and requirements
> Respond to changes driven by client profile change or other internal changes e.g. client org change, new directors, etc.
> Validate changes, assess impact, communicate and execute changes where needed
> Update and maintain client data via RTB and Periodic Review Process

Job Summary:

Job Duties:
The successful applicant will join the Data Business Department and support the team in platform development and project management. In this role, a good blend of business and technical expertise is required.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business users to understand business requirements and identify necessary technological enhancements.
- Conduct business and technical analysis from a business and technical perspective. Evaluate and validate the possible solution into production.
- Gather requirements by understanding the business rationale and document requirements.
- Participate in the preparation and execution of UAT testing, test planning, test cases, training materials, and other relevant documentation.
- Project manage projects, tracking progress and risks against scope, schedule, and costs, in coordination with business and IT departments.
- Provide end-to-end project management for the business initiative and ensure that projects are delivered on time and within the budget and scope.
- Prepare and coordinate project proposals, including the business justification, execution plan, financial projection, risk factors, and mitigation, to support the internal committee and board approval process.
- Develop and maintain all project documentation and artifacts throughout different project phases.
- Perform risk management analysis, identify and escalate any foreseeable project risks on a timely basis, and provide resolution.
- Collaborate across teams on the execution of market data projects, identify new business opportunities, and drive departmental business planning.
- Assist in analyzing market data industry and market trends to support the business strategy.
- Degree in IS/ Finance / Business
- 10+ years of working experience as Business Analyst/Project manager, preferably gained from Banking /Brokerage / FinTech industry. Candidate with less experience will be considered as the AVP.
- Good understanding of financial products, trading lifecycle, database and system architecture
- Experience in Business analysis and working with business and IT stakeholders
- Excellent Project management skills with proven track record working across full life cycle of a project
- Strong interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills
- Self-starter and fast learner, with an innovative mindset
- Proficiency in both written/spoken English and Cantonese. Mandarin is a plus.

- Degree in IS/ Finance / Business
- 10+ years of working experience as Business Analyst/Project manager, preferably gained from Banking /Brokerage / FinTech industry. Candidate with less experience will be considered as the AVP.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in data analysis, data engineering, or data enablement, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proficiency in technologies such as Python, SQL, AWS, Git, and Airflow, with a proven track record of technical aptitude and the ability to learn new tools and platforms.
- Experience working with investment professionals or financial data—especially time-series data and third-party data vendors—is preferred.

**Our Team:**
The Global Data Analytics Team is the frontline customer service provider for Bloomberg's Data clients. We deliver knowledgeable and dedicated service to our customers addressing data related inquiries. We liaise with data's domain based teams to help confirm and support data related inquiries through the "ADSK" system. We solve complex problems and provide accurate and timely solutions in order to consistently surpass the expectations of our clients.
The team is structured into domain based teams across three asset classes with Equity, Fixed Income and Multi Asset teams across the globe with generalists across each group. These teams are directly aligned to domain based ADSK groups and partners among Data's departments, Companies, Securities, Managed Investment and Benchmarks, Content Acquisition, and the Data Management Lab teams.
**What's the role?**
Our Data Analysts are the front line of customer service for Data supporting both internal and external clients. In this role your core responsibility will be supporting Bloomberg clients through our Help Desk, which will allow you to develop general financial markets understanding and knowledge of the inner workings of Bloomberg's customer service technology. You will also use your project management skills and problem solving abilities to assist in the implementation of strategic solutions to improve client experience and team workflows and procedures. We are a large team that interacts with all areas of the business, therefore the ability to effectively connect with partners in different regions and roles is essential.
**We'll trust you to:**
+ Leverage your customer service skills to provide exceptional customer service to Bloomberg clients via our Help Desk (ADSK)
+ Use your customer service skills and subject matter expertise to educate and inform our clients
+ Build and maintain relationships with key internal and external Stakeholders (such as Enterprise Support, Analytics, and Data Product Teams)
+ Use problem solving and data analysis skills to find insights that assist in the implementation of strategic solutions to improve the client experience
+ Enhance customer operational performance by using Help Desk resources
+ Actively seek out opportunities for self-improvement, keeping up with new product training and process knowledge
+ Make independent decisions to resolve customer issues with strong problem solving skills
**You'll need to have:**
+ 1-3 years of work experience in the financial services industry, including exchanges, market data providers, financial technology or financial institutions
+ Proficiency in data analytics tools such as QlikSense, or Tableau
+ Experience working in a customer service roles where you're interacting with both internal and external clients, eg customer support or helpdesk roles
+ A bachelor's degree or higher in relevant data technology or financial field, or degree-equivalent qualifications
+ Ability to adapt within a fast-paced and dynamic environment, and desire to work on multidisciplinary teams
+ Demonstrated ability to take a logical approach and apply critical thinking skills in order to solve problems
+ Ability to work independently & in a team environment under deadlines, demonstrating self-motivation
+ Demonstrated continuous career growth within an organisation
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skill in English and Japanese or Korean

Key Responsibilities
- Delivering high quality Merger and Acquisition related services with a strong Data Analytics component to our clients
- Supporting various R&D initiatives across the wider Deal Advisory team
- Providing training to Deal Advisory professionals on the latest Data Analytics tools including Tableau, Power BI and Alteryx
- Building strong and lasting client relationships through excellent interpersonal skills
- Working with Deal Advisory teams to develop compelling propositions which target relevant client issues
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Mathematics, Statistics or Information Technology-related disciplines such as Computer Science, Information Systems, etc.
- 1+ years’ experience relating to Data & Analytics with experience in Visualisation
- 1+ years’ experience relating to Python or R programming
- Proficiency and working experience with at least one visualisation tool (such as Tableau, Power BI)
- Data analytics experience with Alteryx, VBA, SQL is preferred
- Strong understanding in BI/data operations concepts
- Team player and ability to work well in a dynamic environment
- Experience working in a consulting environment preferred
- Prior industry experience in retail, healthcare or logistics is preferred
- Strong analytical mindset with solid problem-solving skills and ability to analyse complex data, identify core issues and investigate, evaluate and reach appropriate conclusions / solutions
- Be curious with data, open-minded to new business technologies, able to explain complex data concepts to people from a non-technical background
