**Role Summary**

**Key Responsibilities**
+ Lead and manage key payments initiatives covering: High-value payments, Cross border cross currency payments, Domestic payment systems including payment channels, processing, clearing and associated infrastructure.
+ Drive delivery across multiple functions including business, operations, technology, risk, compliance, and finance.
+ Partner with senior regional and global stakeholders to align strategic priorities and execution plans.
+ Coordinate across local, regional, and global teams to manage dependencies, timelines, and delivery outcomes.
+ Support modernization and transformation initiatives involving payment platforms, clearing systems, digital channels, and industry changes such as scheme upgrades.
+ Engage with regulators, market infrastructures, vendors, and external partners where required to support delivery and ensure alignment with market expectations.

**Required Experience & Skills**
+ Proven track record as a technology leader with experience in the payments domain with deep understanding of the risk and controls agenda.
+ Significant experience delivering payments technology initiatives, including programmes with budgets of USD 2m+, and leading complex, cross-functional delivery in high-performing environments across multiple countries and cultures.
+ Strong knowledge of cross-border payments, ISO 20022, SWIFT, and payment engine design/operating principles; familiarity with modern engineering practices and tooling including Agile, Kafka, Kubernetes, CI/CD, AI.
+ Intellectually curious: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess technology risks and develop mitigation strategies with the ability to grow detailed knowledge of operational risk management & regulatory landscape within payments.
+ Demonstrable capabilityto lead, motivate, and develop high-performing global teams, driving consistent outcomes across Asia markets.
+ Strategic and execution-focused mindset with high ownership and accountability for delivery outcomes.
+ Strong delivery discipline, including structured planning, proactive risk and dependency management, and a clear focus on execution and measurable results.
+ Solid programme governance and financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, benefits tracking, and maintaining appropriate controls.

**Preferred / Differentiating Qualifications**
+ Extensive banking experience with prior leadership exposure within payments or transaction banking domains.
+ Strong familiarity with the Hong Kong banking and payments ecosystem.
+ PMP, PgMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or equivalent program management certifications preferred & experience working across Asia-Pacific or multi-country banking environments is advantageous.

**In this role, you're expected to:**
+ This role will manage reconciling and processing positions related to Corporate Action events
+ These activities include revisions of communications, notifications and facilitating postings for Corporate Action or Proxy events
