The Position
Reporting to the Provost and Deputy President through the Dean of the College of Biomedicine (CBM), the Head of Department will provide leadership and strategic direction in research and professional education for the Department. The Head will encourage and promote academic excellence, and steer the Department to enhance the mission and vision of the University in alignment with the University's Strategic Plan.
The Person
A PhD and/or MD/DVM doctorate degree, with a strong track record of accomplishments in the field of neuroscience; strong academic and professional qualifications, a distinguished record of teaching, research and scholarship, and substantial relevant experience in tertiary education; outstanding management experience and efficiency; commitment to teamwork; and strong communication and networking skills to build and nurture internal and external contacts for the benefit of the Department and the College.
Salary and Conditions of Service
The appointee will be offered appointment to an academic rank commensurate with qualifications and experience. The headship appointment will be on a concurrent basis for an initial period of about three years. An attractive remuneration package, driven by market competitiveness and individual performance, will be offered. - Report to the Department Head and is responsible for designing and implementing the business strategy in different business sections to contribute to the sustained, profitable growth of ICBC (Asia)
- Assist the Department Head in overseeing the daily operation of the department as well as planning, directing, coordinating and marketing the bank's entire product line to China, local and international large companies, such as China and Hong Kong large corporates, SOEs, Blue Chips and etc
- Develop and execute strategic and tactical plans in increasing deposits, meeting loan targets and promoting transactional banking excellence as well as building and strengthening corporate relations

Job Requirements
- University graduate
- At least 15 years solid experience in Corporate Banking field, 10 years' supervisory experience
- Sound understanding of corporate banking products and services with ability to package various banking solutions to large corporate clients
- Excellent credit analysis and marketing skills
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Good computer skills, e.g. Excel, Word, Chinese word typing
- Sound business sense with proven track record
- Good command of both written and spoken English & Chinese (includes Putonghua)

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the product strategy and new product development opportunities for the corporate banking business, including assets, liabilities, trade finance and cash management products;
- Identify new business opportunities and enhance the products and services quality, work closely and provide trainings to the frontline in order to drive new business opportunities and sales revenue;
- Ensure the products and services under management are in comply with relevant regulatory and compliance requirements. Regular review and gap analysis on the policies, procedures and risk assessment materials is required;
- Provide market insight, competitive analysis and customer behaviors to senior management in regular basis;
- Manage the product team to achieve the set business goal and objectives;
- Ad-hoc tasks and projects as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree holder or above in BBA, Finance or any related disciplines;
- At least 10-12 years of relevant experience in product development and management for corporate banking business, with 3-5 years in managerial roles;
- Solid understanding in corporate banking business, with in-depth knowledge of the full product development cycle for assets, liabilities, trade finance and cash management products, including relevant legal and compliance aspects;
- Strong project management, interpersonal, presentation skills and able to work under pressure;
- Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese Word Processing;
- Excellent command of both spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese & Putonghua).
