Our client is a leading international Financial Institution with a strong growth plan in place in Hong Kong. Committed to transforming and making positive impacts in the financial markets, the company is seeking an experienced project manager to drive and manage the redesign and implementation of their cash & derivatives trading platforms, critical systems and complex infrastructure modernization and upgrades.

The key responsibilities for this position are as follows:

  • Senior lead in the team to spearhead the development and execution of strategic initiatives aimed at improving service capabilities, system performance, and scalability.
  • Lead the design and validation of business solutions, supported by detailed specifications and well-defined use cases.
  • Develop comprehensive strategic testing plans and execute detailed test cases to validate system performance and operational readiness.
  • Drive interdepartmental integration, evaluate and optimize workflows across departments.
  • Lead the design and execution of integration tests to ensure seamless system interoperability.
  • Provide client integration support by creating technical documentation to assist clients in transitioning to the new platform. Offer customized onboarding support to ensure clients are fully prepared for migration.
  • Maintain strong communication channels with key stakeholders, providing timely updates on project progress, risks, and emerging issues.
  • Drive service enhancement and strategic initiatives to boost operational efficiency and elevate customer experience.
  • Monitor project timelines and budgets to ensure successful delivery of milestones and key deliverables.
  • Ensure full compliance with relevant regulatory standards and stay abreast of evolving market trends and requirements.

Successful applicants will have the following skills and experience:

  • University degree in STEM, finance or business administration subjects
  • Minimum 12-15 years relevant experience as a Project Manager / Business Analyst in project delivery, system development, system integration, transformation and change management focusing on capital markets, equities / derivatives sales & trading systems and platforms
  • Proven experience in leading / executing projects in sizeable, cross-departmental and complex financial institutions
  • Strong project management, analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Experience in leading acceptance testing for high-performance, high-availability systems would be highly advantageous
  • Knowledge of cash equities and / or equity derivatives markets
  • Skilled in presenting complex ideas and influencing stakeholders, proactive, and effective in building cross-functional relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills in English

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Exchange Trading Platform quality assurance & implementation engineer.

Successful candidate will be placed in the Derivatives Trading business unit, working on the Derivatives Trading platform from design to implementation. You will collaborate with a team of Business SMEs and IT professions to create a world class, robust, scalable and innovative Derivatives Trading platform.

Job Duties:

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive impact analysis on functional and operational change. Prepare necessary documentation to engage relevant stakeholders in the overall change management process
  • Analyze the technical and operational system requirements, create & review necessary documentations including but not limited to test plan, test condition, test case for the overall system acceptance
  • Execute and verify the results of all testing cycles under tight schedule
  • Participate into the investigation process for all issues identified
  • Partner closely with cross-functional testing teams to verify the end to end system operational and technical readiness. Assist in the investigation and resolve any conflicts identified
  • Collaborate with a variety of stakeholders, including IT teams and users, to achieve project and operation success.
  • Undertake assignments and projects as delegated by the supervisor

Requirement:

  • Minimum 3 years of system development / client support experience in Trading Platform
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Business Administration or a related field
  • Background in financial services / telecom industry or highly regulated organizations with exposures on platform development / transformation is a plus.
  • Knowledge in trading platform, market practices and / or derivatives is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to translate system language into business terminology effectively in English and Chinese
  • Cantonese and Mandarin proficiency is an advantage

  • Perform research on global financial markets (stocks, rates, FX, commodities) and macroeconomic trends to support investment decisions.
  • Process financial data using Excel, Bloomberg, or Python; generate reports for internal and client use.
  • Monitor fiscal and monetary policies, geopolitical risks, and industry developments affecting market dynamics.
  • Prepare reports and presentations in both English and Chinese; liaise with other teams and clients as needed.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelors or above level in Finance or related majors; or other qualifications recognized by the bank. CFA/FRM progress is a plus.
  • Minimum 2 years relevant working experience
  • Proficiency in Excel, Bloomberg/Refinitiv; basic knowledge of Python/SQL for data analysis is preferred.
  • Understanding of financial statements, valuation methods, and key drivers of asset classes.
  • Fluent English, Mandarin and Cantonese for research and cross-border collaboration.
  • Ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and present insights concisely.
  • Thrive in fast-paced environments, manage multiple tasks, and learn quickly under mentorship; strong interpersonal and communication skills
