POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Mechanical Design Lead of LiquidStack – liquid cooling, this role will primarily design and visualize mechanical concepts in 3D and 2D for mechanical engineering purposes. Output of work effort are technical drawings for product designs, project designs while supporting external presentations/proposals with visuals. This role will work very closely with the engineering team and all cross functional departments. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Designs and prepares industrial mechanical drawings in 3D and 2D for manufacturing
- Verifies the accuracy, manufacturability of all drawings, and creates new part IDs and maintains BOMs
- Collaborates extensively with the engineering team, product management team and/or other cross functional teams as required
- Provides support for presentations and proposals with visuals and animations
- Acts in a manner consistent with LiquidStack's core values and according to LiquidStack's Code of Business Conduct and Ethical Behavior
- Complies with the standards and procedures of LiquidStack's health and safety manual and Occupational Health and Safety regulations
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Higher Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design or similar discipline
- Proficiency in SolidWorks
- Experience in SolidWorks PDM is a strong advantage
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in industrial or manufacturing 3D and 2D design and visualizations
- Experience with photo-realistic rendering and animations is a plus
- Attention to detail
