Position Overview:

As the Head of Visual Creative Design in the Marketing Department, you will comprehensively lead the management and innovation of the brand's visual identity system. You will be responsible for the design, quality control, and team management of all graphic and static visual assets. You must possess exceptional aesthetic sensibility, understanding of brand strategy, and project management skills to ensure that all outputs combine visual impact with commercial value, effectively empowering brand marketing and growth.

Core Responsibilities:

  1. Creative Leadership and Management: Lead the graphic design team (including internal designers and external collaborators), responsible for task allocation, creative guidance, quality review, and delivery management, ensuring that all projects are completed on time and to high standards.
  2. Brand Visual System Development: Lead and maintain the consistency and rigor of the company's brand visual identity system (VIS), promoting its continuous evolution to ensure perfect implementation across all user touchpoints (online/offline).

Manage collaboration and quality control with internal and external design partners.

Requirements:

  1. Experience: Over 5 years of professional graphic design experience, with at least 1 year in a senior guidance role within a design team. Experience with well-known brands or in a 4A advertising agency is preferred.
  2. Professional Skills: Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other relevant design software such as Figma.
  3. Design Theory: Strong foundation in design theory with a keen pursuit of typography, color, and fonts. Excellent brand thinking with the ability to deeply understand business and translate strategy into powerful visual language. (Bonus: Some knowledge of illustration, motion design (After Effects), and UI/UX fundamentals.)

You will be responsible for:

•    providing design-related administrative support to the team and facilitating the implemen-tation of the procedures and workflows;

•    assisting the team in developing collection galleries design, including spatial planning, three-dimensional exhibition elements, public spaces and galleries;

•    supporting all graphic elements for the exhibitions and design drawing development 

•    managing a tidy and systematic documentation and filing systems for the team; and

•    performing any duties from time to time as reasonably as assigned by HKPM

You should:

•    possess a recognized university degree, preferably in design or other relevant disciplines;

•    have at least one year of experience in the exhibition, retail/ commercial design industry, preferably in a visual arts and culture related institution;

  • Sufficient years of related design experience in the retail space.
  • Proven track record in interpreting brand strategy in a growing environment with full-scope project design and project development experience.
  • Beauty experience preferred but not essential.
  • Ability to multitask and execute several projects in a timely and efficient manner; must be able to follow projects from concept to completion.
  • Self-starter with excellent project management, organisational, and presentation skills
  • Strong communication skills with ability to articulate ideas and concepts clearly and accurately to cross-functional partners.
  • Knowledge of technical drawings, project management, materials and manufacturing processes
  • Software Skills: AutoCAD, Sketch-Up, Figma, Adobe Illustrator, Indesign & Photoshop, Cinema 4D or Rhino is a plus.
  • Ability to lead, inspire and influence.
  • Excellent problem-solving and flexibility a must.
  • Thrives in a dynamic fast paced environment.
  • Must be collaborative and build strong relationships with retailers, VM, field and all cross-functional teams.
