The Opportunity:
As the Associate Director for Japan, your main objectives will be to develop and deploy Agoda’s Japan strategy, provide guidance and leadership to ensure the successful account management of Agoda’s major partners, and deliver on targets and growth expectations that are key to Agoda’s business goals. To succeed in this role, you will bring excellent analytical skills, strong account and client management experience, a proven record of sustainable performance, and the capacity to lead, motivate, coach, and mentor teams. In addition, the ability to establish and develop valued long-term partnerships will be essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to accelerate Agoda’s business in Japan.
- Demonstrate outstanding team leadership to grow the local business and consistently deliver on plans.
- Implement strategies with top partners to enhance productivity and maintain a competitive advantage.
- Establish and maintain robust relationships at senior levels, including C-level with key partners—driving partnership expansions and identifying significant opportunities.
- Has the ability to lead a company-wide project with a few multidisciplinary teams.
- Coordinate with top management on strategic planning and objectives.
- Lead, coach, develop, and manage multiple teams through upskilling and coaching.
- Modify the organizational structure by bringing in top talent, supporting recruitment, or assisting in restructuring key organizational components.
- Conduct market research on industry and Japanese market trends to ensure Agoda’s competitiveness.
- Attend and participate in relevant industry events.
- More than 8 years of professional experience at multi-national companies.
- 3–5+ years’ experience in leading, coaching, and developing teams, with a proven track record in rapidly changing environments.
- Relevant experience in account management, business development, or general management. Travel industry experience is not required.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to effectively communicate proposals to potential partners and internal stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker; management consulting experience highly valued.
- Professional “get it done” attitude and strong work ethic.
- Resourceful, energetic, and self-driven personality.
- Ability to move quickly, adapt well to change, and thrive in dynamic environments.
- Experience in online or e-commerce business preferred.
- Fluency in English and Japanese is required.

About The Role
We are seeking a high-performing and passionate Analyst/Associate to join our Strategy & Corporate Development team. In this role, you will work closely with senior leadership to drive strategic initiatives and support the company’s long-term growth through business and corporate development activities. This includes, but is not limited to, conducting market and competitive research, identifying and evaluating new business opportunities, building financial models and business cases, supporting partnerships and M&A execution, and preparing materials for senior leadership, investors, and the Board. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical and communication skills, a proactive mindset, and a passion for autonomous vehicles and AI.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with WeRide leadership to define and advance critical initiatives
- Assist in all aspects of the business and corporate development process including sourcing and qualification of opportunities, market research, competitive analysis, due diligence, and deal execution
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align business and corporate development activities with organizational priorities
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate development, management consulting or a similar field; Focus on technology or AI-related industries is a plus
- Excellent financial modeling and analytical capabilities
- Excellent business sense and ability to understand and resolve complex business issues
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively engage with diverse internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and can manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
- Passion for autonomous vehicles and AI
- Bilingual fluency in English and Mandarin

Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve client acquisition targets by building a pipeline of prospective clients who are interested in products and services offered by the company including attending networking events outside of office hours;
- Track and send out invoices to clients on a monthly basis;
- Achieve revenue targets set for digital product solutions available through the company’s technology capabilities;

Requirements:
- Degree holder with at least 3 years of working experience in either fintech or wealth management, preferably have connections with one or more client segments of banking clients, securities, EAMs and SFOs;

- Has interest in social media and technology in the finance space;
- Knowledge of FIX and API connectivity is an advantage;

Position Overview
You will work closely with our founders and the broader growth team to ensure that our business development strategy is not only cohesive but aligned with our vision of becoming the default transaction layer of Ethereum .
But your role is not simply about securing partnerships: it's about deeply understanding the evolving L2 ecosystem, identifying opportunities across payments , stablecoins , and financial infrastructure , and building long-term relationships that amplify Scroll's reach and adoption.
In practice, you'll be asked to engage with leading projects, institutions, and developers to:
- Onboard the next billion users onto decentralized networks by supporting partners in launching high-impact products on Scroll
- Enable the adoption of stablecoin- and payment-based use cases by working closely with issuers, wallets, and financial applications
- Drive integration opportunities with infrastructure providers, aggregators, and key DeFi protocols
- Foster a community of innovative builders who experiment with emerging financial use cases and choose Scroll as their home
- Provide structured feedback from partners to help shape product development and roadmap direction
- Collaborate closely with the growth, product, and ecosystem teams to ensure seamless partner support and execution
Responsibilities
- Identify, structure, and execute strategic partnerships across payments, stablecoins, wallets, fintech, and web3 infrastructure
- Work cross-functionally with Growth, Product, Engineering, and Ecosystem teams to deliver successful partner integrations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key ecosystem partners, including developers, wallets, on/off-ramps, and institutional players
- Represent Scroll in conversations with major partners and lead negotiations from first outreach through signed agreement
- Maintain an active view of market trends in L2s, crypto payments, and financial infrastructure to inform strategy
- Coordinate co-marketing and go-to-market plans for key partner launches
- Track partnership metrics and KPIs, report progress, and propose optimizations
- Serve as an external evangelist for Scroll at conferences, events, and online forums
- 3+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, or ecosystem roles in crypto, fintech, or payments
- Strong understanding of Ethereum, L2s, and blockchain infrastructure; ideally with direct experience working in an L2 ecosystem
- Proven track record of managing complex partner relationships end-to-end
- Familiarity with stablecoins, cross-border payments, and related protocols or infrastructure providers
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Self-starter attitude with excellent organizational and project management abilities
- Passion for the Ethereum ecosystem and commitment to decentralized technologies
