About The Role
- Oversee the company’s corporate communication function for thought leadership building, corporate and business promotion and reputation management
- Help AIA sustain #1 brand awareness and consideration with distant leadership.
- Act as a key person to strategise communications assets to maximise business and brand benefits.
Developing and Implementing Communication Strategies:
- This includes creating and executing comprehensive communication plans to support the company's goals and objectives.
- Keeping abreast of industry trends and best practices in corporate communications.
- Ensuring that all communication activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines.
- Managing relationships with key media contacts, industry influencers, and stakeholders, and handling media inquiries and interviews.
- Developing and implementing communication plans for crises, issues, and emergencies, and ensuring the timely and effective communication of information to stakeholders.
- Maintaining a consistent brand image and voice across corporate communications, ensuring alignment with the company's values and mission.
- Analyzing media coverage and communication efforts to identify trends and opportunities for improvement, and making recommendations for strategy adjustments.
- Leading and coaching the corporate communication team, managing communication agency partners, and allocating resources effectively
- Support the Customer and Marketing Function in projects as required
- University degree holder or above, preferably in journalism, communications, PR & marketing discipline.
- Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in corporate communications and/or public and media relations. Experience in insurance industry is an advantage.
- Proven track record in leading communications and reputation management
- Demonstrate curiosity and eagerness to keep abreast of the latest market trends
- Excellent time management and project management skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with internal and external stockholders.
- You are required to obtain relevant license if your job involves in regulated activities

About The Role

Position Overview
Drive, implement and support the development of the marketing and communication strategies and initiatives across the region to support the growth strategies of the business and build the RGA brand in Asia.
He/she should be an experienced marketing and communication specialist with good knowledge of the Life and Health (re)insurance industry. Key relationships will include the Global and Regional Account and Marketing team; other regional and local functions e.g. Regional Pricing, Underwriting, Medical, Claims, Data and other SMEs as well as the marketing and business development teams of local offices; Global Marketing and Corporate Communications.
Responsibilities
- Develop and drive an integrated communication strategy in the region, through efficient processes, to support the growth strategies of RGA Asia
- Execute the communication strategies and initiatives, including the creation and coordination of various type of collaterals and channels, to amplify RGA’s products, solutions and services in alignment with regional and local business initiatives and thought leaderships
- Ensure consistent brand messaging across all marketing channels and materials by providing creative direction and working with global brand and graphic specialists, to enhance brand relevance and loyalty within the evolving L&H (re)insurance sector in Asia
- Develop and maintain an effective Social Media strategy for RGA Asia that maximises impact of RGA’s client events, sponsorships, thought leadership publications etc
- Establish and maintain efficient processes with other stakeholders such as global, regional or local marketing, compliance and business owners, to facilitate the publication of effective marketing and communication materials, including the facilitation of content translation where applicable
- Continuously research, build rapport with industry bodies and media organisations, to develop a pipeline of regional or local award submissions to raise brand awareness in growth areas for RGA Asia
- Work closely with the Regional Events Specialist to support the marketing, communication, content and collateral for events and sponsorships
- Continuously seek better marketing and communication opportunities to maximize the value of RGA’s solutions and brand presence including the identification of press, editorial and other media opportunities
- Consult on effective distribution of marketing materials
- Stay up to date with the latest marketing best practices and tools (e.g. the use of AI tools) and the subsequent impact on current strategy and content development processes
- Responsible for developing and managing the communication budget
- Develop and report on marketing performance metrics (e.g. open rates, click through successes, engagement rates, and other marketing metrics) to suggest content and channel optimization
- Design and produce engaging marketing content for BDPD pitch decks and presentation materials in various formats such as articles, infographics, videos, power-point etc. covering Thought Leadership, products, solutions, market research etc. to accentuate RGA’s value propositions to the target markets. This is accomplished by working with SMEs, BDPDs, and leveraging RGA global resources where relevant
- Actively drive and design a range of internal and external marketing collaterals such RGA Newsletters, CEO Connect etc. to optimise marketing effectiveness of the client communications
- Manage RGA Asia’s content repository and infrastructure that include platforms such as the RGA Asia’s SharePoint site, RGA’s corporate websites with global resources
- Support on other regional and local marketing initiatives as required. This may include working with market research specialists to develop and publish content on industry insights, clients and/or consumer trends
Qualifications and experience
- University degree or equivalent experience with a degree in marketing, communication, journalism, public relations or a related field preferred
- 8+ years working experience in (re)insurance or other financial services industry. Good knowledge of Asian life & health insurance products/solutions is highly regarded
- Prior experience with graphic/infographic design preferred
- Prior experience in B2B marketing of consulting services or solutions
- Highly motivated, results oriented and solutions focused
- Strong project management skill Organized, delivery-orientated with the ability to work with multiple concurrent projects
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize work and meet deadlines
- Excellent English and public communication skills (both written and verbal); strong ability to communicate difficult concepts and negotiates with others to adopt a different point of view with a high attention to detail

Position Overview
Drive, implement and support the development of the marketing and communication strategies and initiatives across the region to support the growth strategies of the business and build the RGA brand in Asia.
He/she should be an experienced marketing and communication specialist with good knowledge of the Life and Health (re)insurance industry. Key relationships will include the Global and Regional Account and Marketing team; other regional and local functions e.g. Regional Pricing, Underwriting, Medical, Claims, Data and other SMEs as well as the marketing and business development teams of local offices; Global Marketing and Corporate Communications.
Responsibilities
- Develop and drive an integrated communication strategy in the region, through efficient processes, to support the growth strategies of RGA Asia
- Execute the communication strategies and initiatives, including the creation and coordination of various type of collaterals and channels, to amplify RGA’s products, solutions and services in alignment with regional and local business initiatives and thought leaderships
- Ensure consistent brand messaging across all marketing channels and materials by providing creative direction and working with global brand and graphic specialists, to enhance brand relevance and loyalty within the evolving L&H (re)insurance sector in Asia
- Develop and maintain an effective Social Media strategy for RGA Asia that maximises impact of RGA’s client events, sponsorships, thought leadership publications etc
- Establish and maintain efficient processes with other stakeholders such as global, regional or local marketing, compliance and business owners, to facilitate the publication of effective marketing and communication materials, including the facilitation of content translation where applicable
- Continuously research, build rapport with industry bodies and media organisations, to develop a pipeline of regional or local award submissions to raise brand awareness in growth areas for RGA Asia
- Work closely with the Regional Events Specialist to support the marketing, communication, content and collateral for events and sponsorships
- Continuously seek better marketing and communication opportunities to maximize the value of RGA’s solutions and brand presence including the identification of press, editorial and other media opportunities
- Consult on effective distribution of marketing materials
- Stay up to date with the latest marketing best practices and tools (e.g. the use of AI tools) and the subsequent impact on current strategy and content development processes
- Responsible for developing and managing the communication budget
- Develop and report on marketing performance metrics (e.g. open rates, click through successes, engagement rates, and other marketing metrics) to suggest content and channel optimization
- Design and produce engaging marketing content for BDPD pitch decks and presentation materials in various formats such as articles, infographics, videos, power-point etc. covering Thought Leadership, products, solutions, market research etc. to accentuate RGA’s value propositions to the target markets. This is accomplished by working with SMEs, BDPDs, and leveraging RGA global resources where relevant
- Actively drive and design a range of internal and external marketing collaterals such RGA Newsletters, CEO Connect etc. to optimise marketing effectiveness of the client communications
- Manage RGA Asia’s content repository and infrastructure that include platforms such as the RGA Asia’s SharePoint site, RGA’s corporate websites with global resources
- Support on other regional and local marketing initiatives as required. This may include working with market research specialists to develop and publish content on industry insights, clients and/or consumer trends
Qualifications and experience
- University degree or equivalent experience with a degree in marketing, communication, journalism, public relations or a related field preferred
- 8+ years working experience in (re)insurance or other financial services industry. Good knowledge of Asian life & health insurance products/solutions is highly regarded
- Prior experience with graphic/infographic design preferred
- Prior experience in B2B marketing of consulting services or solutions
- Highly motivated, results oriented and solutions focused
- Strong project management skill Organized, delivery-orientated with the ability to work with multiple concurrent projects
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize work and meet deadlines
- Excellent English and public communication skills (both written and verbal); strong ability to communicate difficult concepts and negotiates with others to adopt a different point of view with a high attention to detail
- Strong in content editing and presentation design Advanced Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Ability to liaise with individuals across a wide variety of markets and operational, functional, and technical disciplines, work well with all levels of management

About the Role:
We are looking for a skilled and strategic professional to take on the role of Associate Director, PR & Communications. This position is key to managing our public relations, corporate communications, and branding initiatives while working closely with PR agencies to deliver impactful results. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in developing and executing communication strategies that enhance brand reputation and align with organisational goals.
What you need to do:
The preferred candidate will have proven communications agency experience and a strong track record working with fast-growth financial service, tech or fintech companies. They should be comfortable operating independently with the ability to manage campaigns across international markets including mainland China, demonstrating strategic insight and adaptability.
Strategic Planning
- Monitor industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to refine strategies.
- Measure and report on the effectiveness of campaigns, recommending improvements as needed.
- Provide strategic communications advice and support to senior leadership.
- Develop and implement PR strategies to strengthen the company's reputation and visibility.
- Act as the primary spokesperson and liaison for media inquiries, maintaining strong media relationships.
- Oversee the creation of press releases, media kits, and other external communication materials.
- Manage responses to issues and crises, ensuring timely and appropriate communication.
- Drive initiatives to maintain and evolve the company's brand identity and positioning.
- Work closely with internal teams and the agency partner to ensure branding consistency in campaigns, marketing materials, and content.
- Monitor and evaluate brand performance to inform strategy adjustments.
- Design and deliver communication strategies to effectively engage internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare leadership messaging, reports, and announcements, ensuring alignment with the company's voice and values.
- Oversee consistent messaging across all communication channels.
- Lead collaborations with partner agency in communications and branding, providing clear guidance and oversight to ensure goals are met.
- Align external efforts with internal campaigns and business objectives.
- Manage budget and develop scopes in collaboration with the partner agency as part of the planning process.
- Evaluate partner agency performance and optimise for maximum value.
- Bachelor's degree in communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
- At least 12 years of relevant experience in public relations, corporate communications, or branding.
- Public Relations, Marketing or related agency experience particularly working with FinTech and Tech start-ups and scale-ups is preferred.
- Relevant international experience particularly in China and the U.S.
- Trilingual proficiency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
- Proven ability to manage PR agencies and collaborate across functions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with an eye for detail.
- Experience managing crises and addressing reputational risks.
- Familiarity with digital communication tools, social media trends, and emerging PR practices.
