Overview: We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented EHS Representative to be based full-time at our client’s data centre site. This role is critical in ensuring that all environmental, health, and safety standards are upheld in accordance with both company policies and local regulations. You will act as the key liaison between the client, contractors, and internal teams to promote a safe and compliant working environment.
Job Description
- Monitor and enforce EHS compliance on-site, ensuring adherence to all relevant legislation and client requirements
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
- Support incident investigations and implement corrective actions
- Deliver EHS training and toolbox talks to site personnel
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to safety performance and incidents
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and client representatives to drive continuous improvement in EHS practices
- Review contractors Risk Assessments and Method statements prior to each element of work to check that the whole scope of the work has been captured and that it appears a safe system of work is in place detailing hazards and control measures (that each task has been suitably planned).
- Where improvement opportunities are observed keep a record of these on a day to day basis.
- Conduct formal Audits of the physical site and documentation pertaining to the Contractors HSE Management System, provide reports detailing findings and recommended actions to close any gaps.
- Analyse data collected from inspections, near-miss and hazard reports, identify trends and implement initiatives and processes to proactively manage issues identified.
- Work with the project team and contractor to manage any design changes during the construction phase, highlight where safety may be impacted and ensure the project team have suitable control prior to the change being implemented.
- Monitor to ensure the contractor updates their Contract HSSE Plan throughout the construction phase as appropriate.
- Assist the project team to ensure suitable welfare is provided for the contractor and that arrangements are in place for the welfare to be suitably maintained.
- Ensure all minor incidents are investigated by the contractor and all incidents are logged into Clients incident management system
- Conduct an investigation to determine the root cause and any underlying causes for:
- incidents with a major injury (or the potential for a major injury)
- Any breach of a Client Life Saving Rule (LSR)
- Work with the Contractor to ensure information is collated to ensure a smooth handover of areas to FM following work.
- input into lessons learned workshops / meetings.
- Provide Monthly HSSE reports.
- Any other duties required to ensure safe operations on site.
- Professional qualification in HSE
- Registered Safety Officer preferred
- 8+ Years (or equivalent) experience managing construction & refurbishment projects
- In-depth understanding of construction risks, incl. electricity, work at height, hot works, use of lifting equipment etc.
- Experience in coordinating the projects in Data Centre sector preferred
- Understanding and experience of construction work in occupied facilities

+ Promotes safety consciousness among employees by providing accurate and informative data, conducting safety meetings, giving timely feedback, on safety suggestions and visibly supporting the safety program(s).
+ Acts as a resource to staff and employees as an HSE subject matter expert.

Qualifications and Requirements
+ Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Health and Environment or other relevant disciplines
+ A Registered Safety Officer under the Factories and Industrial Undertakings (Safety Officers and Safety Supervisors) Regulations, Chapter 59Z.
+ With a minimum of 5 years post-registered working experience in relevant experience
+ Work independently, fast leaner with good organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
+ Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Chinese Word Processing

Key Responsibilities
Social Compliance Program Support (75%)
- Support the effective implementation of SEA policies, projects, and programs across the region in alignment with the established work plan
- Assist the SEA Social Assurance Team in tracking compliance monitoring activities in the upstream supply chain, ensuring alignment with the annual work plan
- Carry out specific tasks in implementation of the adidas Responsible Recruitment Policy across the supply chain, with a specific focus on sourcing regions with high dependencies on foreign migrant labor
- Contribute to social compliance data collection, analysis and reporting, and improving the integrity, accuracy, completion, and the timeliness of social compliance data
- Conduct qualitative research and benchmarking of social compliance and human rights trends and topics in related industry and country
- Engage with key internal stakeholders and external stakeholders to integrate social compliance requirements into business practices
- Support other ad-hoc projects within the SEA team on an as-needed basis
- Support with tracking and managing SEA program budgets, including program and consultancy costs, travel costs, and other related program activity costs
- Collate monthly management reports documenting key updates from SEA program initiatives and other relevant business/program updates
- Support in the procurement of external services (e.g. consultancy services) and process contracts, invoices and purchase orders
- Support in issuing SEA program communications to adidas business partners on an as-needed basis
- Other SEA team members including Field Operations, Social Assurance and Program Operations
- External stakeholders such as civil society and non-governmental organizations (NGOs), industry associations and multi-stakeholder initiatives
- Demonstrated commitment to and interest in advancing human rights and labor standards in global supply chains and knowledge in human rights, labor, environment, health & safety regulations, and international labor standards preferred
- Direct project management knowledge and experience, including developing and maintaining project plans, providing regular communication and coordination, high priority setting and problem solving, and time management skills
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively via multiple formats, including data visualizations, written narratives/reports, and verbal presentations.
- Effective cross-functional collaborator with strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to build and manage relationships internally and externally
- Direct experience conducting in-depth social compliance/human rights due diligence assessment, and/or occupational health & safety assessments is highly desirable
- Fluency in English required, additional fluency in Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) highly desirable
- University degree (Bachelor’s) in a relevant discipline such as Social Science, Business Administration, or related discipline
- Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in social compliance, sustainability, supply chain, or global sourcing business
- Experience in data analytics and reporting, including but not limited to use of Power BI
- Proficient and effective use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams)

Purpose

Reporting to the Manager, Airport Safety, the Safety Manager is responsible for facilitating the implementation of the Safety Management System by various departments and relevant business partners.
Responsibilities:
- Review safety documents of internal departments and business partners and provide airport safety-related advisory services.
- Develop and deliver safety training to internal departments and business partners.
- Conduct safety audits, inspections, and accident investigations.
- Facilitate safety risk assessment processes on new facilities, airport operations procedures, and critical safety systems; maintain the Electronic Safety Management System for tracking airport safety hazards.
- Plan, coordinate, and implement safety promotion programmes to enhance safety awareness of the airport community.
- Attend safety committee meetings, provide safety advice, and facilitate the implementation of follow-up actions.
- Provide guidance to Operation Officers and oversee service providers.
- Undertake ad-hoc projects or duties as assigned.
