Goertek Microelectronics is seeking a passionate and experienced EHS Senior Specialist / Manager to maange and enhance our environmental, health, and safety programs. This is a strategic role that ensures our operations meet the highest standards of safety, compliance, and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safety Strategy & Implementation: Develop and execute annual safety plans based on safety committee directives. Drive implementation across business groups and subsidiaries.
• Safety Inspections & Risk Management: Organize and perform safety audits and hazard identification. Ensure timely and effective resolution of safety issues.
• Contractor Safety Oversight: Manage safety compliance for third-party contractors working on-site.
• Training & Awareness: Plan and deliver safety training programs aligned with business needs. Promote a proactive safety culture through education and engagement.
• Compliance & System Development: Build and optimize safety management systems to meet government and client requirements. Ensure legal compliance in safety, fire protection, and environmental practices.
• Emergency Preparedness: Develop emergency response procedures and coordinate resources for incident management.

• Safety Digitalization: Lead the development and maintenance of safety information systems. Promote digital tools to enhance safety management efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Valid safety certification(s) (e.g., Registered Safety Officer or equivalent).
• 5–15 years of relevant EHS experience, preferably in a corporate or industrial setting.
• Hands-on experience in semiconductor or consumer electronics laboratory is highly preferred.

• Strong knowledge of Hong Kong safety regulations and compliance standards.

Construction Environmental works

Responsibilities:

• Conduct and document studies focused on environmental and sustainability issues.
• Perform site surveys and oversee site activities for land contamination assessments.
• Plan, coordinate, and conduct internal audits to assess compliance with local regulations, including labor standards.
• Implement the environmental management plan and the environmental management system.

Requirements:

• Degree holder in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Supply Chain Management, Textile or related field.
• Corporate member of relevant science/ engineering professional institution
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in environmental management
• Minimum of 3 years in construction/ design related HK BEAM/ BEAM Plus/
• Solid LEED experience will be advantaged .

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement the Group's environmental compliance, strategies and plan to achieve sustainability goals.
• Build and drive environmental compliance mindset of employees' behavior to achieve green environment in factories.
• Set up road map and lead the environmental protection team on sustainability of green manufacturing.
• Deploy and implement the environmental policies and guidelines, set up KPI indicators and control mechanism in line with international standards and statutory requirements.
• Provide guidance to the environmental management of factories and organize regular meetings in reviewing the progress of compliance.
• Monitor environmental implementation issues, oversee improvement progress on corrective action plans and communicate with relevant internal / external parties for the results achieved. Organize regular meetings about environmental matters.
• Track and evaluate wastes discharge mechanism effectiveness, identify alternatives to drive reduction of discharge of chemical waste and GHG, to eliminate any potential environmental hazards and pollution.
• Lead and facilitate factories on 3rd party certification on relevant accreditation of environmental compliance scheme in accordance with statutory requirements / regulations and international standards.
• Prevent, reduce or eliminate hazards that may affect the health of employees.
• Set up crisis management policies and procedures, and site crisis management team to analyze and mitigate risks and strengthen the capability of all sites to deal with crisis.
• Organize social and environmental engagement events both within and outside the group.
• Manage and control the budgets of environmental programs and initiatives.
• Prepare the Group Environmental report required by the listing rule of the Hong Kong stock Exchange.
• Perform Ad hoc assignment by management.

Requirements:

• Diploma or above in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Management or related disciplines.
• At least 5 years' experience in environmental management in sizable manufacturing enterprises.
• Familiar with the statutory requirements and international on environmental protection as well as related measurement and production processes.
• Familiar with standards and audit requirements of ISO9001/ISO45001/ISO14001/ISO14064 or other related systems.
• Strong leadership and management skills required.
• Sound project management, analytical and problem solving skills.
• Proactive and tactful in communication.
• Proficiency in computer software, and in both spoken and written English and Chinese, including Mandarin.
• Frequent travel is required.

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented EHS Representative to be based full-time at our client's data centre site. This role is critical in ensuring that all environmental, health, and safety standards are upheld in accordance with both company policies and local regulations. You will act as the key liaison between the client, contractors, and internal teams to promote a safe and compliant working environment.

*Job Description *

• Monitor and enforce EHS compliance on-site, ensuring adherence to all relevant legislation and client requirements
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
• Support incident investigations and implement corrective actions
• Deliver EHS training and toolbox talks to site personnel
• Maintain accurate records and reports related to safety performance and incidents
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and client representatives to drive continuous improvement in EHS practices
• Review contractors Risk Assessments and Method statements prior to each element of work to check that the whole scope of the work has been captured and that it appears a safe system of work is in place detailing hazards and control measures (that each task has been suitably planned).
• Where improvement opportunities are observed keep a record of these on a day to day basis.
• Conduct formal Audits of the physical site and documentation pertaining to the Contractors HSE Management System, provide reports detailing findings and recommended actions to close any gaps.
• Analyse data collected from inspections, near-miss and hazard reports, identify trends and implement initiatives and processes to proactively manage issues identified.
• Work with the project team and contractor to manage any design changes during the construction phase, highlight where safety may be impacted and ensure the project team have suitable control prior to the change being implemented.
• Monitor to ensure the contractor updates their Contract HSSE Plan throughout the construction phase as appropriate.
• Assist the project team to ensure suitable welfare is provided for the contractor and that arrangements are in place for the welfare to be suitably maintained.
• Ensure all minor incidents are investigated by the contractor and all incidents are logged into Clients incident management system
• Conduct an investigation to determine the root cause and any underlying causes for:
• incidents with a major injury (or the potential for a major injury)
• Any breach of a Client Life Saving Rule (LSR)
• Work with the Contractor to ensure information is collated to ensure a smooth handover of areas to FM following work.
• input into lessons learned workshops / meetings.
• Provide Monthly HSSE reports.
• Any other duties required to ensure safe operations on site.

*Qualifications *

• Professional qualification in HSE
• Registered Safety Officer preferred
• 8+ Years (or equivalent) experience managing construction & refurbishment projects
• In-depth understanding of construction risks, incl. electricity, work at height, hot works, use of lifting equipment etc.
• Experience in coordinating the projects in Data Centre sector preferred
• Understanding and experience of construction work in occupied facilities
