Job Responsibilities:

Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related fields;
- At least 3 years' experience in investor relations, capital markets, fundraising, corporate finance or related fields. With strong skills in building financial models;
- Strong analytical thinking in macroeconomics, industry research, company analysis, and business logic;
- Strong financial analytics skills with the ability to interpret financial statements and generate actionable insights;
- Self-motivated, resilient under pressure, with a strong sense of responsibility and adaptability;
- Work Independently with impeccable attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines;

Duties:
To manage all site visits and to review the material of the visits for better showcasing DSD's work to the public, and to guide the Community Relations Officers on their day-to-day works, including -
To ensure good, courteous and effective communication in handling enquiries and complaints, including personal following up with subject officers on checking progress and effectiveness of enquiries/complaints handling;
To review the contents of all current site visits, including all displaying material, routing and theme, and to oversee the updating of the site visit material and to manage the material to a decent condition to uplift DSD's positive image;
To coordinate, compile and publish the reports as per prevailing international standards, to be the secretary of the DSD Task Force for the relevant reports and to oversee the work of the service providers engaged for the reports;
To monitor and compile relevant news reports daily and arrange for circulation to senior management and subject officers;
To organise guide tours to DSD facilities for local schools/organisations, mainland and foreign delegations, etc.;
To initiate plan, organise and implement public education and publicity activities in enhancing DSD's image, and public's understanding of DSD's work and services. Responsibilities include preparing departmental publicity materials such as publicity leaflets, videos, animation etc, publicising departmental messages on homepage/social media platform, organising Open Days, as well as proposing and organising other promotional activities;
To organise and provide support to DSD's outreach education programme for secondary schools so as to enhance the students' understanding of DSD's work and services;
To oversee customer feedback survey on the clearance of blocked drains and sewers to improve services in departments;
To collate departmental statistics for compiling different reports;
To organise media activities including feature interviews, press briefings, annual meet-the-media site visit, and media lunch;
To monitor DSD related media coverage and assist in assessing sensitivity and potential risk of public relations crisis;
To coordinate divisions' inputs in formulating response to media enquiries, press release and line-to-take;
To explore different stories and publicity channels for publicising DSD's work;
To collaborate with the Information Services Department in production of announcements in the public interest to publicise DSD's messages;
To participate in and coordinate PR promotional work of key projects;
To monitor DSD website to ensure quality services for the public;
To provide support to senior officers in the Public Relations Unit and the directorate staff on publicity and public education matters of the department;
To handle media enquiry by keeping track of public opinions and views expressed through mass media and social media closely; and
To manage the DSD social media accounts, including the daily operation and content updates of the social media platforms.
(Note: The successful candidate may be required to work irregular hours.)
Terms of Appointment:
Successful candidate will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms for a period of 12 months. Renewal of contract will be subject to the service need of this Department and the performance of the candidate.
Fringe Benefits
Upon satisfactory completion of the full contract period with consistently high standard of performance and conduct, the appointee will be granted a gratuity for the period of service. Such gratuity, plus any contribution by the Government to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) Scheme in respect of the appointee as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, will equal 15% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period. Rest days, statutory and general holidays, annual leave, maternity/paternity leave, sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted on terms not less favourable than the provisions in the Employment Ordinance.
