AV & Event Management

Position Overview

We are on the hunt for a highly skilled and experienced Pre-sales Technical Engineer/Cloud Computing Solutions Expert to join our team in Hong Kong. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between our technical offerings and customer needs, ensuring that our cloud computing solutions are effectively communicated, customized, and implemented. The successful candidate will play a key part in driving sales, building strong customer relationships, and supporting the overall success of our cloud computing business in the region.

Responsibilities

Customer Communication on Cloud Computing Products and Solutions

Act as the primary technical contact for customers, understanding their business requirements, pain points, and goals related to cloud computing.

Provide in-depth technical presentations and demonstrations of our cloud products and solutions, tailoring the content to meet the specific needs of different customer segments.

Collaborate closely with the sales team to develop compelling value propositions and technical proposals that address customer concerns and showcase the benefits of our offerings.

Pre-sales Technical Solution Development

Design and architect customized cloud computing solutions based on customer requirements, leveraging a variety of cloud platforms (such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or our in-house solutions).

Conduct technical feasibility studies, evaluating the technical and business implications of different solution approaches and recommending the most suitable options.

Keep abreast of the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in cloud computing to ensure that our solutions are innovative, competitive, and aligned with market demands.

POC (Proof of Concept) Technical Validation

Lead and execute POC projects to demonstrate the viability and performance of our cloud solutions in real-world scenarios.

Work closely with customers, internal development teams, and third-party vendors to set up and configure the POC environment, conduct testing, and analyze the results.

Provide detailed technical reports and recommendations based on the POC findings, helping customers make informed decisions about adopting our solutions.

Partner Product Technical Training

Develop and deliver technical training programs for our partners on our cloud products, solutions, and technologies.

Collaborate with partner organizations to understand their training needs and customize the training content accordingly.

Support partners in implementing our solutions, providing technical guidance and troubleshooting assistance as needed.

Project Delivery Support

Work closely with the project delivery team during the implementation phase of cloud projects, providing technical expertise and support.

Participate in project planning, risk assessment, and issue resolution to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure the smooth integration of our cloud solutions with existing customer systems and infrastructure.

Key Customer After-sales Maintenance

Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers, providing ongoing technical support and guidance after the sale.

Proactively monitor customer usage of our cloud solutions, identify potential issues, and take preventive measures to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

Collaborate with the customer support team to resolve technical issues promptly and effectively, ensuring minimal disruption to the customer's business operations.

Requirements

Education: A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, electrical engineering, or a related field. A master's degree or relevant certifications (such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are highly desirable.

Work Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience in pre-sales technical support, cloud computing solutions design, or a related technical role. Experience in the Hong Kong market and with international customers is a plus.

Technical Skills:

In-depth knowledge of cloud computing technologies, including public, private, and hybrid cloud architectures, containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and serverless computing.

Proficiency in at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and experience with cloud-native application development.

Strong understanding of networking, storage, security, and database technologies in the context of cloud computing.

Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go, and experience with scripting languages (e.g., Shell, PowerShell) for automation and troubleshooting.

Soft Skills:

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly identify and resolve technical issues.

Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including sales, development, and customer support.

Self-motivated and able to work independently, managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

Fluent in both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) to facilitate communication with customers and colleagues.

Other: A valid work visa for Hong Kong is required. Willingness to travel within Hong Kong and potentially overseas for customer meetings and project support.
