Environmental Officer/ Environmental Supervisor
Duties & Responsibilities:
For the purpose of environmental management under the engineering project, assist the Environmental Officer will:
- Prepare, implement and update the Environmental Management Plan;
- Advise on measures to be taken in the interest of environmental protection, and implement such measures;
- Liaise on all matters relating to environmental monitoring and auditing;
- Carry out inspections of the Site for identifying potential hazards to the environment, and to report findings with recommendations for corrective actions;
- Participate in the weekly environmental walks (whether this is combined with the weekly safety walk or otherwise) with the nominated site staff of the Engineer, and to supervise and monitor the environmental performance on the Site;
- Check and ensure that any polluting or potentially polluting situation is promptly rectified;
- Attend site safety and environmental management committee;
- Compile the monthly environmental report;
- Arrange and provide the environmental training including the site specific induction training and toolbox talks for the staff and workers on the Site, and to organize environmental promotional activities;
- Advise the Contractor on the implementation of an environmental management system.
Requirements:
- Higher Diploma or above in Environmental Sciences / Environmental Engineering or equivalent;
- Minimum 5 years' relevant environmental engineering working experience on construction site;
- Holder of driving license is an advantage;
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills;
- Good command of written English and Cantonese;
- Applicants with less experience will be considered as Environmental Supervisor.

Project Title: Assessing the Impact of an AI-Integrated Learning Platform on Senior Secondary Science Learning
(Appointment period: 12 months)
The appointee will participate in a large-scale donation project aimed at enhancing science learning among secondary school students through an AI-integrated learning platform. The appointee will be responsible for undertake research-related duties and providing research support for a collaboration project with the project advisors and team. Responsibilities include assisting in writing research and project proposals, conducting research activities (including qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis), contributing to the preparation of reports, seminars, meetings, and knowledge transfer events, aiding in the dissemination of findings in high-quality peer-reviewed journals, books/chapters, and reports; and supporting other research/evaluation duties related to the project. The appointment will be for approximately 12 months.
For the post of Research Assistant I, applicants should hold a Bachelor's degree in Education, Science, or a related discipline, with an understanding of research methods and data analysis techniques. For the post of Research Assistant II, applicants should have at least Level 2 or equivalent or above in five subjects including Chinese Language, English Language and Mathematics in HKDSE; or Grade E (Level 2) or above in five subjects including Chinese, English (Syllabus B) and Mathematics in HKCEE or equivalent. Preference will be given to applicants with experience in primary/secondary education sectors in Hong Kong and mainland China, as well as experience in educational research. Working experience in assisting school-based support projects offered by tertiary institutions and teaching experience in primary/secondary schools will be advantageous. Applicants should have a strong command of both written English and Chinese, and be able to speak Putonghua and Cantonese. They should also be capable of working independently, be good team players, possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, pay attention to details, and be highly self-motivated, well-organized and able to work under pressure.
