We are looking at a number of exciting future opportunities for enthusiastic, proactive and delivery driven individuals to join our Customer Services Airline Support Team network as an Airline Support Field Service Representative.
The team provides Operational Fleet and Service Delivery support for Rolls-Royce Civil Engine customers. These positions will be based at locations around the World close to our customers operations.
The successful individuals will be assigned against a local main base but will be expected to spend the majority of their time deployed internationally, often with limited notice, on long or short term assignments. There will also potentially be opportunities for locally employed positions
Principle Accountabilities
Provide 24/7 support of customers promoting timely resolution of issues by communicating through the appropriate IT systems and channels.
Develop a close working relationship with the customer at all levels to facilitate communication of key business messages to the customer and collection of customer data.
Identify potential issues with products & services to enable them to be proactively managed.
Monitor warranties & guarantees and airline debt, reporting any significant trends.
Provide customer business forecast inputs, fleet plans and shop visit plans.
Identify potential product and services sales opportunities for Rolls-Royce within the airline’s business.
Be able to represent the Rolls-Royce position to a customer and uphold that position in challenging circumstances.
Provide support of new product introduction and in preparing customer readiness for the receipt of products
Person specification
This role demands a high degree of self-motivation, flexibility, initiative, communication skills and commitment to deliver.
Candidates will need to be internationally mobile at short notice, often spending significant time away from their local main base.
Candidates will ideally possess a thorough knowledge of the civil aviation industry and a good understanding of Rolls-Royce products and service contracts.
The successful candidate will;
Have experience of working in a customer facing environment and ideally be educated to degree level in a relevant discipline or equivalent.
Ideally have a good understanding of Rolls Royce’s strategy and business objectives.
Have a technical and / or services background and ideally experience of working with gas turbines, their operation and functionality plus familiarity with airline operator’s line maintenance practices and regulations.
Be customer focused.
Be IT literate.
Be a clear, concise communicator.
Be well organised with a proven ability to plan and prioritise to achieve on-time delivery.
Good business acumen and ability to deal with ambiguity in a changing fast paced environment.
Be culturally aware.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Degreed engineers. All on site life extensions, repairs and inspection-related service activities for installed fleets and supervision for construction and commissioning of new and existing equipment, able to be performed at customer site. Includes onsite machining, NDT, blading, winding, critical welding, generator diagnostics. Able to make Engineering decisions.
- Developing in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline. Uses prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute policy/strategy.
- In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
- Uses some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance. Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks. Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.
- A job at this level is likely to be an individual contributor with proven interpersonal skills or an early people leader who can hire and develop talent. Provides informal guidance to new team members
- This role requires advanced experience in the Services & Field Services. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
- Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.

What is the scope
- Represent our company in a positive, professional manner in all dealings with Thermo Fisher Scientific customers, both external and internal.
- Own and fulfill service commitments and conduct installations, calibrations, preventative maintenance, training, and repairs.
- Provide services, remote or on-site, within agreed conditions, and set the right priorities.
- Handle service reporting, documentation, and creation of procedures/protocols for internal and customer needs.
- Maintain a high level of customer allegiance by building strong customer relationships and promoting an excellent customer experience.

Education
- High Diploma or equivalent experience in Engineering or other related fields.
- 3 years or more of relevant work experience.
- Candidates with less experience or fresh graduates with a positive and willing-to-learn attitude will also be considered.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and oral in Chinese and English. Mandarin is an advantage.
- Ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues in difficult and stressful situations.
- Great teammate with a strong desire to succeed and a standout colleague.
- Good verbal and written communication skills related to technical approaches, work performed, test results, and findings.
- Customer friendliness and a professional attitude.

As a member of the maintenance team, you will be responsible to provide technical and operational solution, including but not limited to technician training, provide expertise on day to day repair and maintenance to technician, deliver sounded technical answer to MTRC enquiries.
**What will your typical day look like?**
+ Assist Field Service and Operations Manager in overseeing service team.
+ Provide technical and operational solution to Field Service and Operations Manager for day-to-day task.
+ Liaise with customers, group sister companies (OE) for logistic & technical support.
+ Assist management for managerial work.
+ Manpower planning for performing field service works.
+ Prepare progress / field services reports.
+ Complete ad hoc assignments from Field Service and Operations Manager.
+ Any other duties as assigned by the manager.
**What do we want to know about you?**
+ Degree holder in E&M Engineering or other discipline. High diploma with sound experience / knowledge will also be considered.
+ 3-5 years of relevant working experience, experience in rolling stock or related industries is a definite advantage. Software background is preferred.
+ Previous customer service / customer relation experience with be an advantage
+ Written and spoken Cantonese, English and Mandarin is a MUST.
+ Holder of Hong Kong Driver License class 1 and 2 is an advantage.
+ Sound communication and interpersonal skills, able to deal with all levels of personnel.
+ Proven experience in staff supervision is an advantage.
+ Able to pick up different product lines knowledge & transfer to service team member.
+ Good team player, responsible, diplomatic, proactive and able to work independently under minimal supervision.
+ Experience in Occupational Health and Safety and ISO standard is a definite advantage.

**What is the scope**
+ Represent our company in a positive, professional manner in all dealings with Thermo Fisher Scientific customers, both external and internal.
+ Own and fulfill service commitments and conduct installations, calibrations, preventative maintenance, training, and repairs.
+ Provide services, remote or on-site, within agreed conditions, and set the right priorities.

+ Degreed engineers. All on site life extensions, repairs and inspection-related service activities for installed fleets and supervision for construction and commissioning of new and existing equipment, able to be performed at customer site.
