The Senior Associate / Associate leverages experience and independent judgement to bring forward a detailed and thorough market strategy for Korn Ferry Search clients. The ideal candidate will accomplish this through indirect and direct candidate identification, sourcing channel optimization, in-depth industry and competitive research analysis, and creation of candidate pools specified for the client profile. The successful individual will prepare and present research findings to internal and external stakeholders, conduct detailed interviews with candidates, and utilize KF tools to ensure success in each search- managing multiple searches at one time.
The Senior Associate / Associate will be accountable for support of key strategic activities supporting their market or industry and work to achieve personal targets and contribute to the overall success and positive image of Korn Ferry through candidate and client interaction, demonstrating the highest level of ethical behavior and personal integrity. The successful individual will maintain strong and effective relationships with key leaders across the Region and exercise independent judgement in their work while remaining closely connected to business activity and market trends that impact our ability to attract talent.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Search Planning
- Supports a practice, Senior Client Partner and/or Managing Associate by generating a go-to-market strategy, including industry, company, and candidate ideas
- Build market data and insights to win the Search project and assists with the pitch preparation and documentation.
- Apply discretion especially in environmental protection and sustainability field, and conduct thorough research to navigate key companies and build encompassing candidate lists which accurately reflect client profile
- Partners with the search team to generate ideas and share information to facilitate effective searches
- Attends the client kick off call to present data and insights
- Measures and monitors the effectiveness of the strategic sourcing framework against target outcomes
- Effectively present key research findings to internal KF team members
- Prepare and present progress and candidate reports to client
- Balance deadlines and deliverables for multiple searches at one time
- Maintaining data quality and accuracy on the company’s internal database
Candidate Experience
- Provide a world-class candidate experience for all applicants and candidates interacting with KF
- Effectively conducts interviews and assesses candidates, using discretion to determine candidate fit with client requirements and competencies.
- Leverages KF tools and assessments in measuring candidate fit
Client Service & Relationships
- Be approachable and responsive in partnering with business leaders to provide world-class client service and talent acquisition guidance
- Exercise independent judgement to effectively manage shifting priorities and workload
- Commit to continuous learning and advancement of skills and expertise, including market and competitive search analysis and candidate search strategies
- Deliver special recruitment programs including Diversity & Inclusion and market-specific strategies as needed by client
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
- An undergraduate degree in related field from a respectable institution is required.
- Minimum 3 years relevant research and program management, exposure in environmental protection and sustainability field highly advantageous, professional experience in the field of human resources, talent acquisition or consultancy
- Familiarity with Industrial Markets and/or Sustainability
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing priorities
- Strong business acumen, high client-service orientation, detail oriented approach
- Project management skills and experience

- Ensure a positive candidate experience by maintaining clear communication and a smooth hiring process
- Conduct initial screenings and coordinate interviews with hiring managers
- Work closely with hiring managers to define job requirements and create job descriptions
- Provide guidance on best hiring practices and market trends
- Develop data-driven recruitment strategies based on hiring needs and workforce planning
- Track and analyze recruitment metrics such as time-to-hire, cost-per-hire, and source effectiveness
- Provide regular reports and insights to improve hiring efficiency
- Continuously assess and improve recruitment processes for better candidate engagement
- Support the onboarding process to ensure a smooth transition for new hires
- Maintain accurate candidate records using ATS (Applicant Tracking System)
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 3 to 8 years of experience in recruitment or talent acquisition in financial industry
- Fluency in English, Mandarin and Cantonese is required
- Strong knowledge of recruitment best practices, sourcing techniques, and hiring trends
- Familiarity with ATS and recruitment platforms (LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, etc.)
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle multiple hiring projects in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Candidate with knowledge in labor laws and employment regulations in Asia would be preferred

The Opportunity
We’re looking for a driven and self-motivated Talent Acquisition Specialist with 5–6 years of experience to play a key role in building our team across regions and functions. You’ll own the full recruitment cycle, from strategic sourcing and candidate experience to interviews and process design.
This role is ideal for someone who loves building processes, challenging the status quo, and going the extra mile to find exceptional candidates across tech, design, legal, business, and strategy roles.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Partner with hiring managers to deeply understand job requirements, skill gaps, and team dynamics.
- Source and attract high-quality candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, referrals, and creative sourcing strategies.
- Conduct and manage end-to-end interviews with an eye for both skill and culture fit.
- Coordinate technical assessments, stakeholder interviews, and closing steps with hiring teams.
- Champion a standout candidate experience, keeping all candidates informed and respected throughout the process.
- Keep our ATS and LinkedIn systems up-to-date with precision and structure.
- Contribute to the development of recruitment standards and processes as we scale.
- Actively share insights to improve our hiring approach and challenge existing assumptions.
- 5–6 years of hands-on experience in talent acquisition or recruitment.
- Strong global hiring experience across multiple functions and regions.
- A builder mindset, you’ve helped shape or scale recruiting systems, playbooks, or standards.
- Proven success in tech, design, legal, or strategic role hiring (even better if you've done multiple).
- A knack for evaluating both skill and cultural alignment.
- Ability to manage multiple pipelines independently and stay hyper-organized.
- Fluent in using tools like LinkedIn Recruiter, ATS platforms, and other sourcing tools.
- Bold, proactive, and not afraid to ask “why not?” or try new approaches.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills that help you thrive in a fast-paced, team-first culture.
- Have worked in a high-growth or startup environment.
- Bring insights or experience from fintech or tech industries.
- Have used AI/Automation tools
