Key Responsibilities:

  • Export Licensing: Support the Sr. Director of Global Export Licensing to ensure all transactions comply with U.S. re-export and country-specific export licensing requirements. Lead the deployment of the E2 Open Export Licensing Module in APJ by 2026.
  • Greater China & HK Compliance: Manages Regulatory Compliance for greater China and HK. Ensures TD SYNNEX activities in greater China are compliant with U.S. regulations including the U.S. Treasury investment rule (August 2024), the U.S. Department of Justice Bulk Information Rule (December 2024) and other ensuing regulatory restrictions as codified toward China and HK.
  • Environmental Compliance: Supports Director of Environmental Product Compliance, i.e., packaging, WEEE etc., for APJ. Teams with our APJ business partners to manage environmental fee payments and recovery (customers) as required by country regulatory requirements.
  • Continuous Improvement: Direct self-assessments to ensure the accuracy of import valuations, classifications, and other regulatory requirements. Develop remediation plans to address any findings.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: A 4-year university degree is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in regulatory compliance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Experience in the high-tech industry and APJ Customs Compliance is essential.
  • Technical Expertise: Extensive knowledge of import-export regulations and compliance laws. Proven ability to work collaboratively with regulators and business partners.

Your Company

Our client, a globally recognised leader in the fast-fashion industry, is seeking a seasoned logistics professional to join their dynamic team. With a strong presence across international markets, they are committed to delivering trend-forward fashion with speed and precision. As part of their continued growth in Asia Pacific, they are now looking to appoint a Regional Logistics Manager to lead trade operations and compliance across the region.

Your Role

In this pivotal position, you will be responsible for shaping and executing trade strategies that support cross-border logistics and ensure regulatory compliance. You will work closely with both regional and central teams to optimise import/export processes, manage vendor relationships, and drive operational excellence across APAC.

Your Role Will Include:

  • Overseeing trade operations for inbound, outbound, returns, and distribution centre movements across the region.
  • Setting strategic goals for trade performance and guiding regional teams to achieve them.
  • Collaborating with local trade units to monitor KPIs, operational costs, and data accuracy.
  • Managing trade-related budgets and ensuring financial oversight, including customs duties and invoice validation.
  • Supervising inland transport operations from port to distribution centres.
  • Ensuring adherence to customs regulations for both commercial and non-commercial shipments.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, compliance, and sustainability.
  • Supporting procurement processes by identifying trade-related needs.
  • Leading trade risk and security programs across the region.
  • Building strong relationships with logistics partners and monitoring service levels and compliance.
  • Acting as the regional liaison for cross-border matters with sales teams.
  • Partnering with central trade functions to identify synergies and support business expansion.
  • Establishing and strengthening trade teams in response to regional growth.
  • Staying informed on global logistics trends, risks, and performance metrics.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve sustainability across trade operations.

What You'll Need to Succeed

To thrive in this role, you'll bring deep expertise in trade compliance and logistics strategy, particularly within the APAC region. You'll be a confident leader with the ability to manage complex operations and drive change across diverse teams. Your strong analytical skills, commercial acumen, and understanding of both retail and e-commerce logistics will be key to your success.

  • Proven experience in regional trade operations and compliance.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to prioritise and execute effectively.
  • Solid understanding of international shipping, procurement, and vendor management.
  • Familiarity with logistics processes across retail and online channels.
  • Experience in managing change and implementing new processes.
  • Previous exposure to trade management in the Asia Pacific region is highly preferred.
