What You'll Do:

• Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and company directives related to building operations and work safety.
• Review work orders and resolve issues.
• Consult with clients to schedule preventive maintenance and other downtime to minimize business interruption and inconvenience.
• Assist with implementing a preventive maintenance program to ensure that building machinery and systems meet or exceed their rated life.
• Determine that work is complete, equipment is fully functional and client space is in prime working condition.

What You'll Need:

• High School Diploma or GED with up to 2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Certifications/licenses as may be required by local or state jurisdictions.
• Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.

About The Role

As a Lead Critical Facilities Engineer, you'll be responsible for leading a team to execute facilities operation and maintenance works for MVAC and Building Services systems.

Job Responsibilities

• Plan and implement scheduled maintenance and operations works and coordinate site work with external parties such as contractors
• Supervise and delegate installation and maintenance works to subordinates to carry out routine preventive and corrective maintenance work
• Responsible for testing and commissioning for MVAC, Electrical, and Building Services systems prior to the handover process to new tenants
• Monitor and inspect progress of all contracted-out/ outsourced projects and tenants' fitting-out works
• Carry out incident and crisis management for cases of emergency and provide solutions or assistance on site to overcome system defects at hand

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree of Engineering in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Service Engineering or any other relevant discipline of studies in Engineering
• Minimum 8 years of data centre MVAC, Electrical, and Building Services maintenance and operation experience in which 3 years should be positioned as management/ supervisory level with previous knowledge to incident/ crisis management
• Previous experience for incident and crisis management for cases system defects is a must
• Strong technical knowledge to cooling/ HVAC air-conditioning systems is required

Site Operations Department

The Site Operations Department is responsible for the overall health of all mechanical and electrical systems, building maintenance, and performance of all data modules in our data centers. The team is staffed 24 x 7 onsite with Critical Facilities Engineers (CFEs) working on shift.  This team is the face of Vantage to our customers and the guaranty of business continuity and excellence of Operations of our campus as well as the performance of our customer installations. Critical Facilities Engineers are members of the Critical Facility Engineering team that play a crucial role in maintaining the overall health of our data center's infrastructure systems to ensure that our customers receive best-in-class data center services. The Critical Facility Engineers at Vantage manage vital electrical and mechanical infrastructure as part of our daily operation and possess expertise in mission critical facility management. Responsibilities include facility maintenance and capacity management, performance optimization, and providing rapid response and performing repairs when unplanned events occur.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and support testing, inspection, and validation of critical equipment and technical systems, spares, plant, and facilities
• Maintain constant monitoring of the site by utilizing our Building Management System and other available systems, as well as conducting walkthroughs on a regular basis
• Ensure that maintenance activities are planned, prepared, executed, and reported to the highest standard possible with a focus on reliability, energy efficiency and continuity of services.
• Contribute to providing electrical solutions and perform switching operations for planned and unplanned events
• Perform periodic technical and quality reviews of all MOP, SOP, and ERP to ensure that the latest technology and safety guidelines are being used as well as to ensure compliance with Government regulations.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of the critical infrastructure design intent, the sequence of operations, the fault conditions, and the corrective actions associated with them.
• Review Change Records, Work Orders, Service Plan Events, and associated schedules for upcoming planned work's approval
• Assist post-event analysis, including compilation of reports and the identification of root causes, lessons learned and mitigation and remediation activities to address the issues in a timely manner.
• Ensure the team are undertaking skill development with visible evidence of competency in VDC operational requirements and procedures

Job Requirements

• Certificate/ Diploma/Degree holder in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or relevant discipline
• Registered Electrical Worker (REW) license holder in Hong Kong
• 5-7 years working experience in building, electrical and / or HVAC operation and maintenance.
• Working knowledge of operating, maintaining, repairing, inspecting, and testing of electrical distribution systems including generators and UPS system, and or HVAC systems, and or Fire Systems and or building management/automation systems.
• High level of computer literacy (mainly Word, Excel, and databases)
• Prepared to work on a rotating 24/7 shift basis, weekends, public holidays and be available for emergency response
• Prepared to wear PPE and working in extreme conditions
• Hands-on experience in maintenance/repair on Facilities, Machinery or equivalent Familiar with maintaining schedules and working with vendors
• Be assertive, committed, and able to perform multiple tasks independently and efficiently

About the Position

We are looking for an experienced Facilities Operations Engineer to join a highly technical group responsible for operating and maintaining our physical infrastructure. This includes work on our trading floors, amenity spaces and food service areas which are all supported by dedicated mechanical, electrical and IT equipment.

Our team is collaborative in nature, spanning many internal departments and external vendors, contractors, consultants and operations teams. Your work will involve managing projects that cover all aspects of our physical infrastructure, along with our relationships with each of these stakeholders, in order to provide 24/7 critical infrastructure.
