Our Investment Professional Development (IPD) team is dedicated to the growth and development of our investment analysts. The team focuses on developing the investment professional skills with the goal of driving superior alpha generation and enhancing team investment processes by analyzing, consolidating, and sharing best practices, training the investment team population, and preparing the analyses and data with partners across the firm.
What you’ll do
- Review stock pitches and provide detailed feedback to help junior analysts refine their modeling skills, pitching, and idea generation skills
- Build analytical tools for measuring and improving long/short analyst performance and investment process
- Conduct deep dives on long/short portfolios to determine key return drivers and assess overall investment/team process with the objective of improving returns

What’s required
- Proven background in long/short investing, either as an experienced equity analyst or a long/short portfolio manager

- Fluency in Mandarin Chinese or Japanese skills is essential, as the role requires effective communication with analysts in these language regions
- Strong written/verbal communication skills and the ability to engage with PMs/Senior Management

Duties:
(a) To assist in the design of teacher training programmes, development of learning resources and serve as speaker in the training activities;

(c) To assist in the implementation of different training programmes; to collect feedback, provide support in programme evaluation and handle enquiries;
(d) To support and evaluate the progress of the study tours for teachers by joining in; and
(e) To perform any other duties as assigned.
Terms of Appointment:
Successful candidates will be employed on non-civil service contract terms for 1 year.
Fringe Benefits
(a) 14 days annual leave and full pay sickness allowance whereas rest days, statutory holidays(or substituted holidays), maternity leave/paternity leave, where appropriate, will be granted in accordance with the provisions of the Employment Ordinance.
(b) A gratuity may be granted upon satisfactory completion of the contract with consistently high standard of performance and conduct. Such gratuity, if granted, plus any contribution made by the Government to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) scheme in respect of the appointee as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, will be equal to 10% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period.
