Location/Division Specific Information
Within our Laboratory Equipment Division, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Field Service Engineer for general laboratory equipment, monitoring system and sample preparation and analysis system, and if required extending to other product lines.

In the position of Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering and build service excellence above our customer expectations.
Job Duties:
- Represents our company in a positive, professional manner in all dealing with Thermo Fisher Scientific customers, both external and internal.
- Own and deliver service commitments and execute on installations, calibrations, preventative maintenance, training and repairs.
- Responsible for providing services remote or at site within the agreed conditions; sets the right priorities.
- Service reporting, documentation and creation of procedure/protocols for internal and customer needs.
- Maintain high level of customer allegiance by building strong customer relationships and promoting on excellent customer experience.
- Partner with our commercial colleagues to deliver customer deals that can be implemented profitably and meet/exceed customer expectations
- Responsible for optimisation and accuracy of the provided tools and consignment parts.
- Involve in continuous improvement through our Practical Process Improvement Business System
Education
- High Diploma or above in Engineering or other related discipline.
- 3 years or above relevant work experience.
- Candidate with less experience or fresh graduate with positive & willing to learn attitudes will also be considered
- Excellent interpersonal communication both written and oral in Chinese and English. Mandarin is an advantage.
- Ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues in difficult and stressful situations
- Great teammate with strong desire to success and result oriented
- Good verbal and written communications skills related to technical approaches, work performed, test results, and findings.
- Customer friendliness and professional attitude
- Have strong electrical or mechanical background for troubleshooting/repair, and problem solving abilities
- PC literacy including MS Office and Outlook.

Who will you be working with?
You will be working with our maintenance team who are expertise to ensure on-site work are performed safely, on time, within budget and to the satisfaction of the customer.
How will you make a difference?
As a member of the maintenance team, you will be responsible to provide technical and operational solution, including but not limited to technician training, provide expertise on day to day repair and maintenance to technician, deliver sounded technical answer to MTRC enquiries.
What will your typical day look like?
- Assist Field Service and Operations Manager in overseeing service team.
- Provide technical and operational solution to Field Service and Operations Manager for day-to-day task.
- Liaise with customers, group sister companies (OE) for logistic & technical support.
- Assist management for managerial work.
- Manpower planning for performing field service works.
- Prepare progress / field services reports.
- Complete ad hoc assignments from Field Service and Operations Manager.
- Any other duties as assigned by the manager.
- Degree holder in E&M Engineering or other discipline. High diploma with sound experience / knowledge will also be considered.
- 3-5 years of relevant working experience, experience in rolling stock or related industries is a definite advantage. Software background is preferred.
- Previous customer service / customer relation experience with be an advantage
- Written and spoken Cantonese, English and Mandarin is a MUST.
- Holder of Hong Kong Driver License class 1 and 2 is an advantage.
- Sound communication and interpersonal skills, able to deal with all levels of personnel.
- Proven experience in staff supervision is an advantage.
- Able to pick up different product lines knowledge & transfer to service team member.
- Good team player, responsible, diplomatic, proactive and able to work independently under minimal supervision.
- Experience in Occupational Health and Safety and ISO standard is a definite advantage.

Senior Field Service Engineer
Job Description
As a Senior Field Service Engineer, you will support our key customer in the APAC region by maintaining and repairing the system. You are required to travel within the APAC region, sometimes to customer locations abroad, with durations ranging from a few days to several weeks. You will be based at a key customer site to support the maintenance team, focusing on preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Level 2 technical support for the on-site maintenance team at APAC sites, including mechanical, electrical, and LLC (PLC & FSC) support.
- Be part of a maintenance team that operates 24x7.
- Occasionally work on shift to support other team members.
- Execute maintenance plans and perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Coordinate with the hotline team to resolve incidents requiring Level 3 support.
- Travel to sites with short notice.
- Participate in on-call rosters.

The Senior Field Service Engineer is responsible for providing s ervice, repair and/or installation of products or IT solutions at customer site.
This position reports to the Supervisor Field Technical Service and is part of the BEC LS Hong Kong team and will be remote role.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
+ Conducts service, repair and/or installation of products or IT solutions at customer site, including electrical and mechanical testing, in accordance with maintenance contracts.
+ Diagnose system failures and determines most cost-effective solution.
+ Responds to customer support calls within an assigned territory.
+ Escalates complex issues to higher level of technical support
+ May develop new customer service/product agreements
The essential requirements of the job include:
+ At least a Higher Diploma educational holder
+ 6 years' relevant experience
+ Good reading and written communication skills in English and local language
+ Good time management skills
+ Proficient in MS Office
Good to have :
Grade A Electrical Worker's license (from EMSD) holder is preferred
Experience in the Medical Science, or related industry is ideal

Job Description
As a Senior Field Service Engineer, you will support our key customer in the APAC region by maintaining and repairing the system. You are required to travel within the APAC region, sometimes to customer locations abroad, with durations ranging from a few days to several weeks. You will be based at a key customer site to support the maintenance team, focusing on preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Level 2 technical support for the on-site maintenance team at APAC sites, including mechanical, electrical, and LLC (PLC & FSC) support.
- Be part of a maintenance team that operates 24x7.
- Occasionally work on shift to support other team members.
- Execute maintenance plans and perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Coordinate with the hotline team to resolve incidents requiring Level 3 support.
