Job Overview:

We are seeking a Finance Analyst / Assistant Accountant with experience in accounting or finance. In addition, experience within operations from a trading firm or other financial institutions, particularly in a fund management environment, is highly valued. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting day to day accounting function of the business and collaborate with the finance team to assist the CFO in ensuring accurate accounting and financial reporting. This is a fast-paced role in an intense industry where proactive attitude is key and requires the candidate to be flexible and work to tight deadlines.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage full sets of accounts, bank reconciliation and month-end reporting
• Process trade reconciliations, settlements and other operational activities to ensure timely and accurate processing
• Support accounting functions including monthly and year-end fund financial statements and regulatory filings
• Assist with the funds' periodic Net Asset Value (NAV) calculation and other fund accounting outputs for review
• Support the preparation of necessary financial data for audits, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complies with regulations.
• Perform reconciliations of cash and trade positions, resolving discrepancies promptly
• Work towards improving operational efficiency and accuracy
• Escalate issues in a timely manner and help establish best practices
• Coordinate external counterparties, acting as a liaison to ensure effective communication and resolution of issues

Requirements:

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline
• Professional qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CFA is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of fund accounting and financial reporting standards.
• At least 3 years in Fund admin/ Fund accounting/ Fund Operations/ Fund audit experience
• Familiar with trade lifecycle, settlement procedures, fund structures (e.g. hedge funds), and compliance with SFC regulations
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially MS Excel; experience with PMS
• Detail-oriented, able to multi-task, strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
• Strong communication skills, a positive can-do attitude, and a collaborative team player
