We are looking to hire an Assistant Manager - Financial Reporting to join our team in Hong Kong
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide support to overseas finance teams in daily accounting operations, ensuring timely and accurate recording of transactions in accordance with accounting principles.
- Conduct comprehensive reviews of the overseas finance teams’ reports submission to ensure adherence to accounting standards, group policies, and statutory requirements.
- Support the preparation and analysis of monthly and annual financial reports, contributing to the overall financial reporting process.
- Contribute to the year-end audit process, preparing necessary documentation and liaising with auditors to ensure compliance with auditing standards.
- Support finance-related projects, applying financial expertise to improve processes and systems within the finance function.
- Undertake ad-hoc financial assignments and projects, support the finance team in achieving its objectives.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a closely related field, with foundational knowledge in accounting practices and financial reporting.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably with Big 4 experience or a role focused on financial reporting.
- Pursuit of a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) is advantageous, reflecting a commitment to professional growth.
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite), enabling efficient financial analysis and reporting.
- Good communication skills in English and Chinese, with the ability to articulate financial information effectively.

- Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with IFRS (for standalone company)
- Oversee and review general ledger entries, ensuring accuracy and proper classification
- Perform and review balance sheet reconciliations (e.g. intercompany balances, accruals, prepayments, other receivables and other payables)
- Conduct detailed financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and profitability analysis, providing insights to management
- Undertake special projects and ad hoc analyses as required by senior management or business needs
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is highly preferred
- Professional accounting qualification is highly preferred
- Minimum of 5 - 7 years experience in finance or accounting roles, with experience in audit field is a plus
- Strong understanding of IFRS and financial reporting principles
- Experience with Netsuite accounting systems is highly desirable
- Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial modeling)

Job Description
- General ledger to source reconciliation, and work along with other team members on financial accounting and controls duties;
- Month-end closing, preparation of journal entries and supporting schedules for posting to ledger;
- Ensure proper reconciliation of inter-companies accounts with affiliates and to investigate any discrepancies noted;
- Analyze material variance on the financial results in the course of month-end closing process, and provide input to team members for explaining the variance;
- Prepare schedules and reporting package to fulfil group reporting requirements;
- Preparation of financial disclosure and annual reports and other financial disclosure
- Support internal and external audits and review of financial statements
- Participate in Finance projects to take initiative on driving changes in workflow and processes
- Prepare HKMA regulatory returns and provide inputs for other returns if necessary
- Participate into banking return automation and various system enhancement projects
- Perform assessment on the regulatory reporting treatment for current / new products and business
- Bachelor degree holder, preferred with major in Accounting, Finance and Business Administrations;
- Qualified accountant preferred;
- With three to five years work experience in financial institutions or banks audit at CPA firms
- Growth mindset to aim at development personally and contribute to the team
- Ability to work under pressures and multi-tasking
- Attentive to details and accuracy and drive for process efficiency

- Undergraduate or Master’s degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field
- 4+ years of experience in business development, sales analysis, or GTM roles, preferably in financial services or fintech.
- Working knowledge of risk management techniques within financial services
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, or similar) and presentation tools (e.g. Powerpoint)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
- Proficient in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce).
- Self-starter with a results-oriented mindset and a keen attention to detail.
