- Conduct customer risk assessment on correspondent banking customers to fully comply with the Bank's policies as well as external regulatory requirements
- Carry out trigger event and periodic due diligence review for high, medium and low risk correspondent banking customers
- Communicate and liaise with internal departments and other correspondent banks for enquires in relation to bank-to-bank matters
- Perform ad hoc tasks as assigned
Requirements:
- Degree holder in Business Administration or related disciplines
- Minimum 1 year of experience in KYC/CDD/AML areas
- Knowledge of AML requirements
- Self-motivated and independent with good communication and people skills
- Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese

POSITION
This role is within the international distribution business with responsibility for developing new business primarily within Hong Kong and certain North Asian Financial Institutions. This role reports into the Head of Sales, Financial Institutions (Asia excl. Japan). The Sales Director role is responsible for sales and client service efforts with the central objective of expanding our client base and growing net new revenue. The role involves considerable co-ordination of activities across the client lifecycle to effectively deliver a very positive client experience supporting the achievement of our business goals, delivering the highest standard of client experience in an efficient and compliant manner.
The role encompasses business development targeted at financial institutions defined as private banks, retail banks, financial advisers, fund platforms, insurance linked (ILPs), wealth managers and family offices. The role carries clear business objectives around client and asset growth.
We currently operate in a hybrid working model, whereby you will be required to work in-office 3 days a week.

Responsibilities
- Work with the Head of Sales (Financial Institutions) to deliver net new business production in line with business plans
- Design and deliver the business strategy and annual business plan for your remit
- Build detailed knowledge of our investment capabilities and be able to present in an engaging way to clients and prospects
- Partner with the marketing team to build brand and broad advocacy
- Partner with client service team to help retain and grow existing client relationships
- Prepare for client/prospect meetings by gathering relevant market, industry or firm information.
- Expanding Allspring's brand by developing client-focused events (e.g. roundtables, events, awards submissions etc.)
- Manage and develop all client records/activities within the internal CRM system in line with company policies and procedures
- Maintain a full understanding of compliance implications and work within the processes and procedures of our organisation
- Involvement in internal regular management reporting and project management as required
- Build strong relationships with teams across the business, such as legal, compliance, admin, marketing, to ensure effective collaboration on all sales related matters.
- Any other such tasks as reasonably required
Preferred Skills
- 5+ years of experience in asset management sales.
- Has an excellent understanding of local markets (primarily HK and certain North Asia markets) and be able to act as senior representative of the firm.
- English and Mandarin and/or Cantonese language skills required
- CFA preferred but not required
Required Skills
- Relevant jurisdiction sales licenses
- Proactive, solutions oriented and client focused sales approach.
- Team player with strong team working skills.
- Experience in developing relationships and converting into business and sales opportunities with key clients across the financial institutions sector as defined.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Deep knowledge of investment asset classes and product structures.
- This role will include travel.
