The Hotel comprises 206 rooms and suites, an Executive Lounge with outdoor terrace, a deli, bar and restaurant all surrounded by lush abundant greenery, 2 meeting rooms with natural daylight, 24-hrs gym and a large 25m outdoor swimming pool and Jacuzzi.
Job Description
- Ensure respect of the Brand standards, 5 stars hotel service , management rules and manager directions.
- Responsible for the well being of service operations and lead teammates to perform accordingly( waiters / casuals/captain ).
- Maintain a memorized knowledge of the menu, prices and ingredients , offer , promotions, discount
- Welcoming Guests: Greet guests warmly as they arrive. Make them feel welcome and comfortable.
- Reservation Management: Manage and organize bookings and reservations. Confirm reservations over the phone and online.
- Seating Arrangements: Prepare seating arrangements to maximize space. Escort guests to their tables.
- Handling Inquiries: Answer questions about the menu or the restaurant. Provide information on special events or promotions.
- Communication: Coordinate with the kitchen and wait staff to manage seating and serve times. Notify staff of any VIP guests or special needs.
- Administrative Tasks: Keep the reception and waiting areas tidy. Handle telephone calls and emails.
- Payments: Sometimes assist with processing payments or managing the cash register.
- Promotional Activities: Occasionally help in promoting special deals or upcoming events.
- Fresh graduate are weclome
- Fluent in written and oral English, Cantonese and Mandarin
- Pleasant personality, customer-oriented with good communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion in Food & Beverage
- Knowledge and practice of Microsoft Office ( Work, excel )
- Willing to work on shift hours including night shift

As the Food & Beverage Service Team Leader for Events at Kimpton Tsim Sha Tsui Hong Kong , you’ll take the lead in delivering seamless, stylish, and personalized service across a range of private and social functions. Whether it's a corporate meeting, wedding celebration, or pop-up activation, you'll ensure every detail runs flawlessly. You’ll be the hands-on leader working closely with the Events Service Manager and culinary team to bring our events to life while supporting the broader F&B team when needed. This is an ideal step for someone who thrives in dynamic settings, has a passion for guest interaction, and takes pride in smooth execution from set-up to breakdown.
A little taste of your day-to-day
Every Day Is Different, But You’ll Mostly Be
- Leading the events service team during setup, execution, and breakdown
- Ensuring all event details are carried out according to BEOs and client expectations
- Coordinating with culinary and stewarding teams to maintain timing and flow
- Hosting and assisting VIP clients and event organizers on-site
- Supporting team briefings, floor assignments, and service standards
- Acting as the senior point of contact during events in the absence of management
- Occasionally supporting other F&B outlets when required
- At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory role, ideally in banquets or events within hotels or upscale venues
- A proactive and adaptable mindset, able to handle last-minute changes with grace
- Excellent interpersonal and guest relations skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational ability
- Fluent in English and Cantonese; Mandarin is a plus

A little taste of your day-to-day
Every Day Is Different, But You’ll Mostly Be
- Leading the events service team during setup, execution, and breakdown
- Ensuring all event details are carried out according to BEOs and client expectations
- Coordinating with culinary and stewarding teams to maintain timing and flow
- Hosting and assisting VIP clients and event organizers on-site
- Supporting team briefings, floor assignments, and service standards
- Acting as the senior point of contact during events in the absence of management
- Occasionally supporting other F&B outlets when required
- At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory role, ideally in banquets or events within hotels or upscale venues
- A proactive and adaptable mindset, able to handle last-minute changes with grace
- Excellent interpersonal and guest relations skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational ability
- Fluent in English and Cantonese; Mandarin is a plus

We are looking for a Food & Beverage Operations Manager based at Island Shangri-La, Hong Kong!
As a Food & Beverage Operations Manager, we rely on you to:
- Assist the Head of Food & Beverage to achieve business results and managing cost base in accordance with the annual F&B budget and KPIs by monitoring and enhancing staff productivity; conducting cost-efficient measures by utilizing operating equipment and optimal manpower deployment and creating business and revenue improvement strategies
- Ensure that the operation within areas of responsibilities complies with the SOP requirements and all staff are well trained and perform according to the SOP requirements and standards including the HACCP compliance
- Monitor the operation and the public areas comply with safety regulations in order to provide a safe and cozy environment for guests
- Ensure all the team are follow safety work practices and constantly reviewing and improving work practices; regularly reviewing and inspecting facilities
- Work closely with culinary team and other stakeholders to assist in planning of food and beverage promotions and other projects to enhance guests dining experience and satisfaction level
- Assist in food and beverage projects and other duties as assigned
- Degree or higher diploma or above in Hotel and Catering Management
- Minimum of 6 years hands-on experience of awarded restaurant and bar operations in renowned hotels or well established catering operations with 3 years in a role of managing multiple outlets
- Focus on the customer needs and trends in order to meet customer satisfaction; and creativity and flair to exceed customer expectation
- Sound food and beverage knowledge in international cuisine and wine & spirits; knowledge of HACCP compliance; and knowledge of financial statement and experience in budgeting
- Excellent leadership skills and mastery in delegating multiple tasks
- Demonstrate the highest level of hospitality and professionalism with guest-oriented and service-minded
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English and Cantonese; capability in report writing and presentations, hands-on experience in MS Office applications

The JobYou will:
- Optimize F&B service to exceed member expectations by enhancing efficiency, setting standards, allocating resources, training staff, and resolving member-guest issues.
- Hit revenue and budget targets by setting clear objectives, driving menu, event and marketing initiatives, maximizing income, and enforcing cost discipline.
- Control expenses and inventory through variance monitoring, corrective actions, and sourcing high-value F&B and FF&E products.
- Enforce club policies with daily audits of food quality, service, facilities, and safety; deliver focused training and process improvements.
- Maintain HACCP compliance by monitoring workflows, securing recertification, serving on the HACCP Committee, and collaborating with Food Safety QA.
- Elevate service by collecting member feedback (MCRM, surveys, mystery shoppers), sharing insights, and tailoring marketing programs.
- Monitor market trends and recommend innovative F&B products, systems, and techniques.
- Lead F&B recruitment and succession planning for key roles, management trainees, and part-time staff.
- Ensure safety by enforcing protocols, auditing facilities, and participating in the divisional safety committee.
- Advise GMSTCH on member-centric operational needs for new projects, including refurbishments, layouts, and equipment.
- Deputize for the GMSTCH and carry out additional assignments as delegated
You should have:
- A degree or higher diploma in Hotel and Catering Management
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience in renowned hotels or well established catering operations with 5 years in a role of managing multiple outlets
- Passion for customer service; clear focus on the customer needs and trends in order to meet customer satisfaction; and creativity and flair to exceed customer expectation
- Sound food and beverage knowledge in Western cuisine, Chinese restaurant experience an advantage, and knowledge of HACCP compliance
- Strong leadership with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Good insights in market trends
- Sound knowledge of F & B management and products
- A solid understanding of F & B trends and experience in organising marketing programs is an advantage
- Knowledge of HACCP systems is an advantage
- Proficiency in IT hospitality systems
- Fluency in both written and spoken English, and Cantonese
- Proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage

The Department

The Department
Our Catering Department manages one of the largest and most diverse catering operations in Hong Kong. We provide a wide range of catering, sports and recreation facilities for Members and their guests in three Clubhouses. In addition, both Happy Valley and Sha Tin Racecourses have numerous catering facilities used by Members, non-members and corporate organizations for a variety of functions.
The job holder is responsible for managing all the racecourse operations excluding Trackside Catering in Happy Valley and Sha Tin, to providing quality food and beverage products, and services, delivering excellent customer services to Members and the public through well-trained, well-mannered and well-groomed staff, and providing Members with the feeling of exclusivity and being treated as privileged. The job holder oversees the operations of F&B outlets racecourses and restaurants, the catering operations during the non-race day events.
The Job Additionally, this role involves managing all Members' and the public's issues requiring management attention and supervising staff in planning and implementing menus for various events and functions on both racedays and non-racedays.
- Ensuring that all staff within areas of responsibilities delight the Members and the public for raceday and non-raceday functions. This includes:
- Continuously improving operational efficiency, resource planning, and fair allocation of work.
- Setting up performance standards.
- Overseeing the training of staff to develop their potential.
- Inspiring and motivating staff to provide the highest standards of customer service to members and the public.
- Achieving business results and managing the cost base of HVRC and STRC according to set budget targets through:
- Implementation of clear goals and marketing strategies aligned with the Club's VMV.
- Directing staff to prepare marketing plans and achieve budgets.
- Overseeing the planning and execution of menus, marketing efforts, and promotions.
- Planning and executing catering deliverables of marketing initiatives to create customer interest and satisfaction. This is achieved by working closely with marketing teams to design and launch promotional programmes.
- Ensuring that the Club's policies, procedures, and guidelines are implemented, including:
- Inspections of food and beverage quality, service standards, and cleanliness of public areas and kitchens during operations.
- Ensuring safety records of staff, Members, and the public comply with statutory standards.
- Monitoring work processes and ensuring standards are maintained in production kitchens.
- Ensuring prudent cost allocation and control in expenditure to align with approved budgets. This includes:
- Reviewing variances in financial reports and taking remedial actions to reduce them.
- Working with Procurement to source the best F&B and FF&E products with the highest quality and value.
- Overseeing the management of all aspects of the Catering & Events section, including marketing and sales for events, and developing and executing activities to improve customer satisfaction and maximize profitability.
- Recommending staffing decisions and planning succession of critical positions through delegation and training to ensure effective management and leadership continuity.
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations to provide a safe environment for Members, the public, and staff by:
- Ensuring all concerned staff obtain valid licenses.
- Overseeing safety training for all staff.
- Directing staff to regularly review and inspect facilities.
- Initiating communication sessions with main stakeholders.
- Driving the implementation of best practices for a better workplace in operations.
- Acting as the representative on the Fine Wine Purchase Group to coordinate and communicate wine-related areas across business units. This includes:
- Handling wine lists, wine promotions, wine dinners, and takeaway items.
- Providing creative input and ideas to the committee for review and execution.
- Undertaking other duties as needed.
You should have:
- A university degree or higher diploma in Hospitality Management from a leading hospitality institution
- Hygiene Manager Certification and food safety standards and knowledge or qualifications
- A minimum of 10 years of managerial experience in a sizable hospitality operation
- Sound knowledge of food and beverage management and products
- Knowledge of HACCP systems and ISO 22000 is an advantage
- Proficiency in IT hospitality systems (e.g. catering, stock management system, etc) Fluency in both written and spoken English.
- Mandarin is an advantage.
