Candidate should 

(a) have at least three years of working experience in fisheries; and

(Note: Candidate with knowledge of Hong Kong fisheries/practical experience of fishing operation/ knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is preferred.)

Duties:

A Fisheries Survey Assistant (Part-time) is mainly deployed on 

(a) assisting in conducting interviews with fishermen;

(b) providing technical, logistic and administrative support for the survey programme; and

(c) performing any other duties as assigned by supervisors.

(Note: Required to work on fishing vessels operating in moderate weather.)

Terms of Appointment:

Successful candidates will be appointed on 1 year non-civil service contract terms.

Fringe Benefits

Rest days, public holidays (or substituted holidays), maternity leave, paternity leave, sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted in line with the provisions of the Employment Ordinance. There is no end-of-contract gratuity for the above position.

Mannings (Asia) Consultants Limited is now seeking applications to fill the following resident site staff (RSS) posts for contract administration and supervision of the contracts.

The works comprise the new fresh water and flushing water mainlaying, abandonment of existing water pipes in Fairview Park, associated excavation, cable ducting, concrete casting for structure elements, armored cable installation, road repavement and drainage works, etc. The contract duration is expected to last for more than 3 years.

The employment will be made with reference to the prevailing Government's terms and conditions for direct employment of RSS.  The incumbent may be required to work irregular hours, overtime and shifts (including Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays).

RESIDENT ENGINEER (CIVIL) (Ref: W1021/RE(C))

Candidates should have:

  • Member of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers or equivalent in civil discipline.

ASSISTANT RESIDENT ENGINEER (CIVIL) (Ref: W1021/ARE(C)/01/02)

Candidates should have:

  • Degree from University or equivalent in an appropriate discipline, with formal training pre-approved by the civil professional institution/Institute with at least 1 years' relevant post-qualification experience; or
  • Degree from University or equivalent in civil discipline with at least 3 years' relevant post-academic qualification experience in professional field and level.

RESIDENT INSPECTOR OF WORKS (CIVIL) (Ref: W1021/RIOW(C))

Candidates should have:

  • Diploma or Higher Certificate from Construction Industry Council in Hong Kong/ Hong Kong Institute of Construction/ Polytechnic University/ polytechnic in Hong Kong/ Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education/ Technical Institute which was/is a member of VTC/ Technical College which was/is a member of VTC or equivalent in civil discipline; and
  • At least 8 years' relevant post-qualification experience; or
  • At least 5 years' relevant experience as Resident Assistant Inspector of Works or equivalent in public works projects or those listed in Section 4.5.2 of the RSS Management Handbook.

RESIDENT ASSISTANT INSPECTOR OF WORKS (CIVIL)

(Ref: W1021/RAIOW(C))

Candidates should have:

  • Diploma or Higher Certificate from Construction Industry Council in Hong Kong/ Hong Kong Institute of Construction/ Polytechnic University/ polytechnic in Hong Kong/ Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education/ Technical Institute which was/is a member of VTC/ Technical College which was/is a member of VTC or equivalent in civil discipline; and  At least 3 years' relevant post-qualification experience; or
  • At least 5 years' relevant experience inclusive of 1 year's relevant experience as Resident Works Supervisor or equivalent in civil discipline in public works projects or those listed in Section 4.5.2 of the RSS Management Handbook; or
  • At least 3 years' relevant experience inclusive of 1 year's relevant experience as Resident Works Supervisor I or equivalent in civil discipline in public works projects or those listed in Section 4.5.2 of the RSS Management Handbook.

RESIDENT WORKS SUPERVISOR I (CIVIL) (Ref: W1021/RWSI(C)/01/02/03)

Candidates should have:

  • Certificate from Construction Industry Council in Hong Kong/ Hong Kong Institute of Construction/ Polytechnic university/ polytechnic in Hong Kong/ Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education/ Technical Institute which was/is a member of VTC/ Technical College which was/is a member of VTC or equivalent in an appropriate discipline; or
  • Completed a recognised technician apprenticeship in an appropriate discipline; or
  • Successfully completed a recognised craft apprenticeship with two years' experience as a skilled worker in appropriate discipline; or
  • At least 5 years' experience as a skilled worker in appropriate discipline; and
  • At least 3 years' relevant post-qualification experience; or
  • At least 3 years' relevant experience as Resident Works Supervisor II or equivalent in public works projects or those listed in Section 4.5.2 of the RSS Management Handbook.

RESIDENT SURVEY OFFICER (ENGINEERING) (Ref: W1021/RSO(E))

Candidates should have:

  • Diploma or Higher Certificate from Construction Industry Council in Hong Kong/ Hong Kong Institute of Construction/ Polytechnic University/ polytechnic in Hong Kong/ Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education/ Technical Institute which was/is a member of VTC/ Technical College which was/is a member of VTC or equivalent in civil discipline

RESIDENT TECHNICAL OFFICER (CIVIL) (Ref: W1021/RTO(C))

Candidates should have:

  • Diploma or Higher Certificate from Construction Industry Council in Hong Kong/ Hong Kong Institute of Construction/ Polytechnic University/ polytechnic in Hong Kong/ Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education/ Technical Institute which was/is a member of VTC/ Technical College which was/is a member of VTC or equivalent in civil discipline.

The possession of a Construction Industry Safety Training Certificate or equivalent certification is required for the above positions.
