We are currently seeking a proficient and detail-oriented subtitle translator to join our team.

The candidate will be responsible for translating and proofreading Korean and/or Putonghua dialogue and text for TV dramas, ensuring linguistic accuracy and cultural relevance.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate and proofread dialogue and text from Korean and/or Putonghua drama into English and/or Traditional Chinese and/or Simplified Chinese.
• Produce high-quality subtitles that maintain the tone, context, and intent of the original content.
• Ensure consistency in terminology, style, and formatting across episodes and series.
• Conduct research to verify proper names, idiomatic expressions, and cultural references.
• Collaborate with editors to meet project deadlines and quality standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree, major in translation, language is an advantage.
• Proficiency in Korean and/or Putonghua; TOPIK Level 6 for Korean translation
• Excellent command of English and/or Traditional Chinese, and/or Simplified Chinese
• At least 3 years of experience in subtitle translation and proofreading
• Strong attention to detail and cultural nuance
• Familiarity with subtitling software and tools is an advantage.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work independently.
• Willing to work in shift schedule
