About the role

Join Christian Action as a Fundraising Assistant/Manager (NGO)-Corporate Development Department. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for leading corporate fundraising initiatives and developing strategic partnerships to secure funding and support for the organisation's vital community services and development programmes. Based in Choi Hung, Wong Tai Sin District, this position is a key part of the Corporate Development team and plays a crucial role in the overall success of the charity.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and organize fundraising programmes and events;
2. Liaise with corporations for sponsorship and support;
3. Develop and manage volunteer programmes with corporations;
4. Monitor and explore donation channels;
5. Develop and maintain relationship with existing or potential stakeholders including donors, sponsors, volunteers and stakeholders;
6. Coordinate internal fundraising needs with individual department head or centre-in-charge;
7. Prepare promotional write-up, donor acquisition proposals and fundraising campaign webpage;
8. Handle issues related to The Caring Company Nomination Scheme;
9. Monitor daily operations;
10. Any ad hoc duties as required.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree holder in Marketing or Business related discipline;
2. Minimum 3 years working experience preferable in the field of fundraising, business development, marketing, event management, etc.;
3. With proven track records in organizing fundraising programmes and activities;
4. NGO experience of handling donor/ sponsor relationship and soliciting new donors/ sponsors is a plus;
5. Result-driven, independent, good communication and interpersonal skills;
6. Creative and detail-minded;
7. Efficient, with good communication skills, able to cope with pressure, a team player and can work with people of various levels;
8. High proficiency in written and spoken Chinese, English and Mandarin.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement fundraising strategies to meet organizational goals.

Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with institutional investors OR family offices.

Lead investor presentations and meetings to communicate the organization's vision and investment opportunities.

Analyze market trends and investor preferences to inform fundraising strategies.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field; MBA preferred.

Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in fundraising, capital markets, or investment banking.

Proven track record of successful fundraising from institutional investors OR family offices in Hong Kong and Asia.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and market trends.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to build relationships.

Proficiency in English and Chinese

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Work closely with the fundraising committee and the other members of the fundraising team to develop the fundraising strategy towards all donor segments to ensure sustainable growth and development;
• Design the digital donation journey to motivate and raise individual donors/fundraisers;
• Organise major fundraising events such as corporate sports day, sports-related celebrity fundraising events and festive donation campaigns;
• Manage and develop relationships with over 70 existing foundations and corporation grant-makers/donors, provide timely responses and regular updates;
• Identify new partnerships that could financially support the execution of new collaborative sports programmes;
• Work closely with the communications team to communicate programme output and outcomes to partners, potential donors and the general public;
• To write fundraising proposals for funding applications, including funding applications for government and private foundation's funding;
• Work closely with the CE and the finance team to monitor the overall financial status of the charity;
• To support programme staff in writing partnership reports to communicate funding impact to partners;
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• A Degree holder, preferably majoring in business/language/communications, with at least 5-7 years' experience in relationship management/ grant-making/charity fundraising (candidates with less years of relevant experience would be considered for the assistant manager role);
• Experience in organising large-scale fundraising events/corporate events preferred;
• Strong finance acumen, evidence-based, data-driven;
• Excellent command of written and spoken English, Mandarin, and Cantonese required;

• Oversee and take charge of daily fundraising, public relations (PR), and promotional activities, events, and projects conducted on behalf of RDA.

• Provide comprehensive administrative assistance, including the preparation of PR & fundraising proposals and report, agendas and minutes for all meetings, activities, and projects associated with RDA.

• Manage RDA's digital presence on social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and other relevant channels. Oversee publications like newsletters, anniversary booklets, and various promotional materials like presentations and leaflets.

We are currently seeking a dynamic and visionary Director of Fundraising to join our organization. As the Director, you will play a key role in shaping and implementing our fundraising strategy to support our ambitious growth trajectory. This position reports directly to the CEO and is a key member of the Senior Management Team.

Key Areas of Accountability:

Leadership:

• Develop and implement a fundraising strategy to deliver results to support Save the Children's work on child health, education and protection in Hong Kong and around the world.

Major Donors, Corporates, and Foundations Fundraising:

• Identify and cultivate relationships with prospective and existing donors, leveraging personal and the Board of Directors' networks and global Save the Children networks and approaches, to maximize fundraising opportunities and explore shared value approaches.

Individual Donor Fundraising and Operations:

• Oversee teams responsible for individual donor fundraising across various channels, including face-to-face, direct response television, and digital fundraising, with the aim of expanding and diversifying the individual donor base.
• Strengthen the digital fundraising strategy and execution by leveraging best practices from around the world.
• Provide strategic guidance to the donor relationship and services team, ensuring the operation of a strong donor call center and maintaining a robust donor database.

Qualifications:

• A university graduate with a major in marketing, business administration, or related disciplines.
• At least 12-15 years of experience in leadership roles in fundraising, sales, business development, public relations, and/or corporate social responsibility. Not-for-profit background is an advantage, but not a must.

• Excellent interpersonal skills, adaptable and dynamic, with experience working in a multinational company and exposure to diverse cultures.

• Assist to be the secondary administrator of the existing and the new Donor Database System and responsible for creating new user and permissions etc

The Donor Relations Executive is responsible for implementation of donor retention programmes and handling of donation processing functions for regular donors.

Responsibilities

• Data entry and filing of donation forms;
• Handle donor enquiries and termination requests via various channels;
• Make outbound calls to donors to fix their unrealised donations and conduct upgrade/reactivation telemarketing programmes;
