Job Responsibilities

  • Take overall charge of overseas fund raising work, formulate practical fund raising strategies according to the company's strategy, accurately lock in target funds, and ensure the completion of the established fund raising quota.
  • Actively develop and deeply maintain cooperative relationships with various financial institutions such as family offices, overseas banks and sovereign funds, and establish a long-term and stable LP resource network.
  • In-depth study and judge the investment preferences and risk demands of potential LPs, tailor differentiated fund-raising plans and product promotion materials, and improve the success rate of cooperation negotiations.
  • Continuously track the dynamics of global capital markets, policies, regulations and industry trends, regularly output professional analysis reports, and provide data support for the company's fund-raising decisions.
  • Cooperate with internal investment, risk control, legal and other teams to efficiently promote the full process of fund-raising projects and ensure the smooth arrival of funds.

Job Requirements

  • Have more than 5 years of experience in fundraising, accumulated rich resources of family offices and overseas financial institutions, and those who have successfully led single fund raising projects of more than 100 million yuan are preferred.
  • Have a stable career development track, no frequent job hopping records in the past 3 years, and have a high degree of professional ethics and team spirit. Have excellent fund-raising negotiation ability and market development awareness, and can quickly respond to market changes and adjust fund-raising strategies.
  • Be able to use English as a working language, fluently conduct business negotiations and document writing, and those who are proficient in Mandarin are preferred.
  • Have a Master's degree or above in finance, economics and other related majors, and those with professional certificates such as CFA and FRM are preferred. Have strong pressure resistance and multi-task processing ability.

About The Role

Reporting to the Executive Director (ED), the Manager - Marketing, Communications and Fundraising is a key executive team member of our organisation. He/she will be responsible for:

  • Marketing and Communications
  • Develop and manage online and offline marketing and communications campaigns, and evaluate the effectiveness of various activities.
  • Plan, create, and oversee the design and content development of marketing materials for social media, websites, newsletters, press releases, events, and any other distribution channels.
  • Manage the organisation’s events and campaigns, including Pathways’ 25th Anniversary Symposium and other celebration events.
  • Develop relationships with key media to secure and grow media coverage, and support the roll-out of regular, informative and effective communications with donors, stakeholders, the media, volunteers, peer organisations, government departments, and the community.
  • Act as secretary to the Marketing, Communications & Fundraising Committee of the Foundation.
  • Fundraising
  • Devise, drive and organise fundraising campaigns and events.
  • Assist to develop strategies and setting goals to hit fundraising targets.
  • Collaborate with other organisations and groups within the community to build partnerships and enhance fundraising activities.
  • Research, identify, liaise and build relationships with potential donors, and to develop plans to maximise opportunities.
  • Manage information and record the profile of donors and fundraising activities.
  • Evaluate and report the effectiveness of fundraising projects on a regular basis.

We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate should possess 5+ years of experience in marketing and communications, with a focus on online and offline promotions planning and execution, content development, social media, and community engagement.

  • Strong understanding of digital marketing (incl. social media management, content marketing).
  • Experience in working with content creaters, designers, and production companies to develop high-quality, multimedia marketing materials.
  • Experience in event planning and community-building initiatives is an advantage.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical mindset, with the ability to measure and optimise campaign performance.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with teams across different functions.
  • Excellent writing skills in English and Chinese is necessary.
  • Passion for supporting students with specific learning needs and an understanding of the education market in Hong Kong is a plus.

About The Role

IHKSports is seeking a talented individual as our Fundraising & Partnership Executive . Our executive will be based in Hong Kong, working under the direction of Fundraising & Partnership Manager.

Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Collaborate with the fundraising team to maintain ongoing communication and gather feedback from over 70 existing foundations and corporate grant-makers/donors;
  • Assist in the setup and timely maintenance of the donor and stakeholder CRM system;
  • Plan and execute corporate volunteering engagement activities, working closely with programme team staff and corporate partner representatives;
  • Help organise fundraising events such as movie premieres and walkathons;
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions to develop new collaborative sports programmes that align with our four missions and create a meaningful impact;
  • Support the writing of fundraising proposals in English and Chinese for funding applications;
  • Support programme staff in writing partnership reports to communicate funding impact to partners;
  • Work closely with the communications team to communicate programme output and outcomes to partners, potential donors and the general public;
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • A Degree holder in any discipline with at least 2 years’ experience in any industry with a track record of stakeholder management and intensive copywriting work. Fresh graduates with excellent Chinese and English writing skills will also be considered
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Cantonese, fluent in Mandarin a plus;
  • Strong sports/charity sense, creative and independent;
  • A leader to host and manage events with confidence and a sense of team;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, outgoing, energetic and enthusiastic;
  • A strong team player capable of working with different personalities from different functional backgrounds;
  • Strong ability to complete multiple assignments concurrently whilst balancing competing priorities and meeting deadlines;
  • Willing to travel to various districts in Hong Kong in weekday evenings and weekends, with transport subsidy and compensation leave;
  • Knowledge of and passion for sports and the charitable sector preferred.
