Join our team as a Lab/Technical Assistant/Officer to support laboratory operations, equipment maintenance, and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will assist in managing lab equipment, coordinating procurement, and ensuring smooth daily operations while adhering to safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and manage the operation and routine maintenance of equipment and inventory;
• Coordinate maintenance of office and laboratory equipment;
• Coordinate equipment acquisition process, involve with procurement process and liaise with suppliers;
• Assist to develop standard operating procedures, technical notes, guidelines and flow charts;
• Provide assistance in the study of technical feasibility for addition & alternations works and carry out related site inspection;
• Support the preparation of quotations and tender documents;
• Provide daily laboratory administrative support, answer users' enquiries, and laboratory safety trainings to users; and
• Handle ad hoc tasks as assigned by the Centre Director or his/her delegates

• Bachelor's degree holder or above in all disciplines;
• 1-2 years in lab operation and equipment management or experience in biomedical engineering research is preferred;
• Fresh graduates are welcome, previous administration or laboratory maintenance experience is an advantage and will be considered as an assistant role;
• Competency in MS Office applications;
• Ability to work independently, to work under pressure and overtime; and to set and drive the team to meet project deadlines; and
• Excellent oral communication and written skills in English, with good organizational and analytical abilities and willingness to learn new techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

• Performs microbiological analysis on incoming raw materials, finished products and other samples.

The Clinical Trials Centre (HKU-CTC) is a leading clinical trials management platform established under The University of Hong Kong LKS Faculty of Medicine (HKUMed) and is dedicated to managing and facilitating international-standard clinical trials on new drugs, medical devices and medical technologies.  HKU-CTC offers long-term development opportunities to passionate talents who are devoted to a career in the clinical trial profession.

HKU-CTC's Biospecimens Core (BioCore) is a core facility for managing and processing biospecimens in clinical trials.  Locating at the Queen Mary Hospital, it is now supporting over 100 clinical trials.  BioCore is seeking talents who have the passion in promoting healthcare advancement through practising the laboratory profession in the clinical research domain.

Main Responsibilities:

• Handle and process biospecimens for clinical trials;
• Undertake pre-trial preparation, laboratory kits and consumables management;
• Perform Biospecimens processing, storage, packaging and shipping;
