Equities Franchise Market Making (FMM) Strats
The Equities Franchise Market Making (FMM) Strats team is responsible for managing the central risk book for our derivatives business. Our primary objective is to generate benefits through centralized risk management of delta shares trading across all desks, achieving firm-wide efficiencies from netting, and effectively managing residual risk. We focus on optimizing execution efficiency and timing, as well as generating trading alpha. 
Job Summary And Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly motivated professional with an entrepreneurial mindset to join the Equities FMM Strats team within the Equities Division, based in Hong Kong. The successful candidate will conduct in-depth research on historical trades and market data, applying statistical analysis to optimize our central risk book. This role involves contributing to algorithm design and improvements, working on the trading and risk management aspects of the book, and holding a direct trading mandate. 
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze large datasets of execution data using advanced statistical techniques.
- Develop and deploy quantitative models for managing risk across a substantial portfolio of stocks and futures.
- Conduct research to identify and implement alpha generation strategies to effectively manage residual risks.
- Manage the daily portfolio and execution activities of the central risk book.
Basic Qualifications
- Strong academic background in a relevant quantitative field (e.g., Physics, Mathematics/Statistics, Engineering, or Computer Science).
- In-depth knowledge of equities
- Experience in algorithmic trading or high-frequency trading.
- Solid knowledge of statistical modeling, algorithms and derivatives pricing models
- Proven experience in portfolio risk management.
- Solid work ethic, team-oriented approach, and high levels of motivation.
- Ability to perform effectively in high-pressure and time-sensitive situations.
- Demonstrated strong quantitative, problem-solving, and programming skills (Python, C++, Java and SQL).

Preferred Qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES
Our Analysts and Associates play an important role in developing and strengthening our client relationships, participating on our advisory teams and in structuring and executing a full range of financial transactions. Their responsibilities include creating and analyzing financial models, organizing and preparing client presentations, helping manage transaction processes, and assisting in structuring transactions. They will gain exposure to the firm's businesses and expand their knowledge of the investment banking industry, as they develop key analytical, communications and marketing skills.
Analysts and Associates develop financial models, perform customized company valuation analysis, and are actively involved in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions and fixed income and equity issuances. As part of the Capital Solutions Group, the Solutions team works with clients to provide strategic risk management services to our clients (corporates, sovereign wealth funds, and private equity clients). Responsibilities

- Work closely with trading to deliver innovative solutions for the risk management platforms for the Equities business.
- Develop, maintain and scale the risk management platforms for intraday and overnight risks.
- Provide impact in a variety of tactical work by being close to the high paced day-to-day activity on the trading desks.
- Understand pricing engines behind simple and complex Equity derivatives, their risk measures important for day to day risk management, and complexities involved in their calculations.
- Identify and build improvements to system behaviour, control and monitoring tools.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

Banking Core Services (BCS) provide operational support throughout the lifecycle of a Corporate Advisory or Financing Deal. The department is structured as five functional teams within Asia, Europe and the US. The teams are set up to manage each deal through client onboarding, logistics of marketing, deal execution, settlement and invoicing of fees and expenses.
JOB RESPONSBILITIES
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Principal responsibilities of the IB Client Onboarding team are:
- Conduct Anti-Money Laundering (AML) checks as part of onboarding for Goldman Sachs to meet its Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance obligations and other regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with Engineering to design new system enhancements to improve efficiency and control.
- Work with Compliance to define and implement firm policies and controls.
- Provide timely advice to IB and clients on the KYC and account opening process.
- Provide a control framework to manage the operational risk of the business.
Role description:
- Contacting clients and the business to obtain AML information and documentation.
- Answer queries on accounts and client relationships from IB.
- Project management ranging from small enhancements to large-scale, global projects
- Ensuring all communications are of the highest professional standard to maintain client service excellence.
- Timely and effective escalation of potential relationship issues and devising possible resolutions.
- Taking responsibility for delivering against commitments.
- Participate in regular meetings with the program team to maintain clarity around workflow, develop required reporting and identify and implement efficiencies.
QUALIFICATIONS

Responsibilities
Our Analysts and Associates play an important role in developing and strengthening our client relationships, participating on our advisory teams and in structuring and executing a full range of financial transactions. Their responsibilities include creating and analyzing financial models, organizing and preparing client presentations, helping manage transaction processes, and assisting in structuring transactions. They will gain exposure to the firm's businesses and expand their knowledge of the investment banking industry, as they develop key analytical, communications and marketing skills. 
Analysts and Associates develop financial models, perform customized company valuation analysis, and are actively involved in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions and fixed income and equity issuances. They organize and prepare presentations, which explain industry trends, assess clients' situations to provide the necessary financial advice, and recommend strategies to meet client goals. Additionally, Associates coordinate teams of tax advisors, attorneys, and bankers for various transactions; lead due diligence processes and actively participate in the negotiations of legal documentation. From maintaining client communication to helping Goldman Sachs structure client transactions, our Associates are a vital part of Goldman Sachs' banking team's investments.

Divisional Overview
Global Banking and Markets division provides financing, advisory, risk distribution, and hedging services for institutional and corporate clients. Within Global Banking and Markets, our equities professionals focus on delivering ideas, execution, and liquidity to a wide array of clients trading the entire range of equity products, including physical shares, ETFs, synthetic shares, baskets, options, and other derivatives. Our engineers play important roles in several areas within the division. Some engineers build automated trading platforms and algorithms for the firm and its clients, taking an active part in the increasing shift from voice to electronic trading. Others sit on trading desks, creating cutting-edge derivative pricing models, and developing empirical models to provide insight into market behavior. Still others develop systems and processes that assist with making the entire trade life cycle more seamless. 
GSET Engineering
Goldman Sachs Electronic Trading (GSET) offers a best-in-class comprehensive suite of trading strategies to help clients achieve their trading objectives and navigate a variety of market conditions leveraging historical analyses, quantitative models, and real-time market information. These strategies are built on a highly distributed, scalable, low latency trading platform, which processes billions of transactions daily in the low microsecond range, with minimal jitter. Our engineers are responsible for designing, building, and maintaining this trading platform as well as the strategies running on the platform, in a collaborative environment. The software our engineers write is of a very high standard: it is client and market facing with real time SLAs and can have high financial and regulatory impact. Some engineers focus on implementing the platform, its surrounding ecosystem and order management workflows, writing highly performant code and optimizing its interaction with the hardware and infrastructure it is executing on. Others work on building the trading models, signals and algorithmic logic which constitute the trading strategies. 
Who Are We Looking For
We are looking for strong engineers in the FPGA (Ultra Low Latency Trading) system space. These engineers will design, build, and maintain a high-performance, high-availability, high-capacity, yet nimble and adaptive FPGA platform for trading equities. They will focus on implementing the platform, its surrounding ecosystem and order management workflows, writing highly performant code and optimizing its interaction with the hardware and infrastructure it is executing on. They will adopt a data driven approach to decision making and participate in the full product lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, and monitoring execution quality. As part of this effort, they will be expected to collaborate with colleagues across the world including in New York, London, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Singapore, and Stockholm. 
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or a similar engineering field.
- Extensive experience with SystemVerilog or a similar hardware description language.
- Ability to create testbenches to validate HDL code through simulation with ModelSim experience a plus.
- Strong grasp of computer networks with in-depth understanding of Ethernet and TCP/IP.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in C/C++ programming and working in a Linux environment.
- Linux systems programming experience with particular focus on networking stack.
- Experience in debugging a live FPGA system using signal tapping.
- Knowledge of performance tuning for low latency.
- Experience building APIs for complex systems' interactions.
- Familiarity with Global Equities Markets trading.
