Responsibilities
Our Analysts and Associates play an important role in developing and strengthening our client relationships, participating on our advisory teams and in structuring and executing a full range of financial transactions. Their responsibilities include creating and analyzing financial models, organizing and preparing client presentations, helping manage transaction processes, and assisting in structuring transactions. They will gain exposure to the firm’s businesses and expand their knowledge of the investment banking industry, as they develop key analytical, communications and marketing skills.
Analysts and Associates develop financial models, perform customized company valuation analysis, and are actively involved in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions and fixed income and equity issuances. They organize and prepare presentations, which explain industry trends, assess clients’ situations to provide the necessary financial advice, and recommend strategies to meet client goals. Additionally, Associates coordinate teams of tax advisors, attorneys, and bankers for various transactions; lead due diligence processes and actively participate in the negotiations of legal documentation. From maintaining client communication to helping Goldman Sachs structure client transactions, our Associates are a vital part of Goldman Sachs’ banking team’s investments.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 1-3 years of prior work experiences
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through
- Strong ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
- Team player with positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to adapt quickly to a variety of industries and businesses

Job Responsibilities
- Work directly with issuer clients in tandem with industry / country teams to develop a deep understanding of their company business models, financial metrics, management teams, and projected future performance
- Analyze the suitable investor universe for each transaction and speak to investors as part of the outreach process and execution
- Support in the preparation of transaction marketing and process materials
- Process coordination from deal launch to signing, in close cooperation with the client, its advisers and other internal and external parties, including investor outreach, active communication with investors / management, and overall transaction management
- Given the team’s high deal flow and its flat hierarchical structure, you will perform a great variety of tasks, including many opportunities to “step-up”
- You will experience training, hands-on learning opportunities, continuous mentoring and feedback, and numerous development opportunities
- You will develop strong functional skills in the major areas of investment banking with the aim to become a senior client executive who is capable of generating and executing your own transactions
- 3 years of full time investment banking or buyside experience
- Keen interest in private capital markets, minority equity and structured transactions. Interest in how minority transactions work including shareholder and governance agreements
- Desire to work across markets and sectors and have exposure to lots of different types of transactions
- Proficient technical ability and overall corporate finance proficiency. The role will require flexibility to work across the capital spectrum and be exposed to new and creative structures
- Impeccable communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with senior professionals and clients
- Ability to take ownership across a transaction, with exposure to industry, country, and other internal and external partners
- Ability to show initiative and support across several transactions in parallel, managing time appropriately across competing demands
- Self-directed, highly motivated, and able to work independently
- A well-rounded academic background from a top tier educational institution.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance/Economics or a related field.
- Fluency in Mandarin language skills to liaise with Chinese speaking stakeholders
- Prior experience in private capital raising be it equity / equity-link or debt / leveraged finance, M&A execution or buyside
- Prior experience in communicating with buyside investors

Job Responsibilities
- Work directly with issuer clients in tandem with industry / country teams to develop a deep understanding of their company business models, financial metrics, management teams, and projected future performance
- Analyze the suitable investor universe for each transaction and speak to investors as part of the outreach process and execution
- Support in the preparation of transaction marketing and process materials
- Process coordination from deal launch to signing, in close cooperation with the client, its advisers and other internal and external parties, including investor outreach, active communication with investors / management, and overall transaction management
- Given the team’s high deal flow and its flat hierarchical structure, you will perform a great variety of tasks, including many opportunities to “step-up”
- You will experience training, hands-on learning opportunities, continuous mentoring and feedback, and numerous development opportunities
- You will develop strong functional skills in the major areas of investment banking with the aim to become a senior client executive who is capable of generating and executing your own transactions
- 3 years of full time investment banking or buyside experience
- Keen interest in private capital markets, minority equity and structured transactions. Interest in how minority transactions work including shareholder and governance agreements
- Desire to work across markets and sectors and have exposure to lots of different types of transactions
- Proficient technical ability and overall corporate finance proficiency. The role will require flexibility to work across the capital spectrum and be exposed to new and creative structures
- Impeccable communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with senior professionals and clients
- Ability to take ownership across a transaction, with exposure to industry, country, and other internal and external partners
- Ability to show initiative and support across several transactions in parallel, managing time appropriately across competing demands
- Self-directed, highly motivated, and able to work independently
- A well-rounded academic background from a top tier educational institution.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance/Economics or a related field.
- Fluency in Mandarin language skills to liaise with Chinese speaking stakeholders
- Prior experience in private capital raising be it equity / equity-link or debt / leveraged finance, M&A execution or buyside
- Prior experience in communicating with buyside investors

About Our Roles In GBM Public Compliance
Global Banking and Market Public Compliance (“GBM Public Compliance”) is responsible for comprehensively identifying and managing the regulatory, legal and reputational risks of the Global Sachs FICC and Equities business units by articulating and maintaining the standards of conduct required of the firm’s businesses as well as the laws, regulations and policies governing those businesses. The role is within the Asia Ex-Japan GBM Public Compliance Equities Team in Hong Kong. Job Responsibilities
- Provide real-time compliance advice to Equity business personnel of all levels, with regards to the rules, regulation and internal policies that govern their businesses. This includes transactions, new products and business initiatives, regulatory changes, etc.
- Compliance representative for business led projects/initiatives
- Developing and updating policies & procedures applicable to the Equity business units

Exciting opportunity to join our Technology, Media, and Telecom banking team!
As a seasoned Investment Banking professional, you’ll have experience developing strong relationships with corporates and financial institution clients and working across different products. You’ll work on deals and transactions across the spectrum of our banking products, including mergers & acquisitions, divestitures, restructurings, loans, and equity and debt capital raises. This role is based in Hong Kong within the TMT banking team.
Job Responsibilities- Work with senior bankers in originating, structuring, and executing financing and advisory transactions across various products including M&As, IPOs, bonds, loans, and structured products.
- Develop content in marketing/execution materials for maximum client impact.
- Create financial models and detailed valuation analyses for pitches and projects.
- Interact with senior team members and client management teams to execute transactions, identifying and managing all risks involved.
- Guide, review, and coordinate the analytic work of junior bankers to advance marketing and execution processes.
- Liaise with internal and external parties on transactions (e.g., lawyers, accountants, counterparties).
- Provide leadership and mentorship to junior bankers and research analysts.
- Lead client negotiations, Q&A processes, and management interviews.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance, Economics, or a related field from a top-tier institution.
- Prior experience in an investment banking front office or related role.
- Fluency in Korean to liaise with Korean-speaking stakeholders.
- Strong accounting, finance, quantitative, and business writing skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with excellent analytical and decision-making skills.
- Understanding of transaction cycles and execution-oriented mindset.
- Effective communication skills to interact with senior professionals, clients, and stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, independent worker in a fast-paced, team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
